We went there for super bowl(after two long years because of pandemic)as we always do and were highly disappointed this time. The service is still very good but whoever is in charge of the kitchen now don't have any clue on how make chicken wings or pizza. This was my first time at a BJ's restaurant and I mainly came here to try out the pizookies because I've heard so many good things about it. I ordered a salmon entree and was really looking forward to the pizookie at the end of the meal (Although, shoudve just had dessert for dinner). ENLIGHTENED CHERRY CHIPOTLE GLAZED SALMON I was REALLY disappointed with this entree, the salmon was really DRY. They were decently busy for a thursday night and our waitress had tables at the other end of the restaurant, so she rarely checked up on us. I did want to send it back, but I was really hungry and knew it would take another 30 minutes to get a new entree. The asparagus was not good either, was not tender, was really stringy and I could not swallow it. The couscous was okay too, but would not try it again. CHOCOLATE CHUNK PIZOOKIE This lived up to the hype, the cookie was crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. It was still warm and the ice cream was nice and cold and melty and ah the combination was delicious. Covid took many restaurants by the collar and slammed them to the ground while many struck back and reimagined their food and service. To me bjs falls in the first bucket. Used to be a place with great vibes and good food. I used to visit this place to experience good service and great social vibes. What remains now is severe staff shortage( they even turned me away one day saying they had no servers) and lethargic food presentation. What do you get when a 12$ burger is squashed with fries in a small plastic box. You get a sweaty burger with droopy fries. Inflation is at a all time high, however that does not warrant lousy food packaging. The garlic knots were along similar lines, too much left to be desired. Go To spot in Tysons area! This is one of the few places I like to go to whenever I am in Tysons area. They have a parking garage downstairs which makes everything hassle free! The restaurant is spacious and neat. They also have a nice bar. We came here on a Saturday night and our server, Shannon, was amazing. She was on top of everything and made sure we were taken care of. My boyfriend and I got the meatballs with mashed potatoes for our appetizer and I thought they tasted pretty basic. Not too bad, but I probably wouldn't order them again. He got the Lemon Thyme Chicken for his entree and he really liked it. He omitted the rice and got more vegetables instead. When I went to BJ's I got the frozen berry colada as my drink and it was delicious. But the blender broke and it took so long to make, shortly after we ordered and I got the mahi-mahi tacos. The tacos were very good but by the time my food came out I was already done with my drink. So overall BJ's has amazing food but the food takes a long time to come out. So if you want a quick lunch do not go to BJ's, but if you want a delicious lunch and don't mind how long it takes then I definitely recommend BJ's. read more

I got a summer brussel sprouts salad with blueberries, nuts, and goat cheese. Overall, I recommend doing a blend of happy hour and non-happy items to get the most value from your meal. I went there last Sunday and I had a terrible experience. First, our waitress was extremely inattentive and had to call other waiters and even the host to locate her. Second, we ordered the ahi poke for appetizer and it didn't come until we had already had eaten half of our dinner. Third, the prime rib was extremely salty! Even went we were leaving - no waitress anywhere! We could even walked without paying and nobody would never even noticed! Had to use the online system to pay. Terrible service and mediocre food. These were my go to spots when I lived in Vegas. All I can say is the ones in the DC metro area are different. This particular is the best in the area. I really feel like the servers try to do a good job and most of the times they do. The Bartenders are hit or miss. The guy bartenders need to at least act like they are friendly to customers. sports bars are suppose to be lively. I am not sure what Jessica's role is, but she is by far the best thing in that restaurant. If she isn't the manager, she needs to be ASAP. I have dealt with her numerous times and I feel if she gets involved, things get done. I don't really see her delegate, but she handles conflict and issues with a smile and the coolest demeanor. You need to either promote her or clone her. This will help with the customer experience. read more

Their bar is great with decent happy hour ($1.50 off their beers or something like that) and love their big TV in the bar. Speaking of, not too many tv's in their main dining room, which is good. Don't like seeing so many tv's in main dining room unless it's a sports bar. The food was just okay. Nothing to write home about. Their deep dish pizza (we got BJ's Favorite) was decent. Wasn't bad or wasn't great. I've had better pizza at other brew houses (Dogfish Head Alehouse comes to mind; even though it isn't deep dish). I did like their house salad and their spinach artichoke dip was ok (too much cream cheese). Come here for their tasty beers. Good selection of beers. My husband finally convinced me to stop here for a bite to eat. He had be raving about this place for awhile now. I was pleasantly surprised that this place shares a parking garage with Nordstrom Rack room. So their is plenty of parking and the garage allows access from 7 and when you leave you can drive to the backside of the garage to avoid 7 all together. A major time saver depending on the time of the day. Okay lets be honest, any part of the day since traffic in this area is always bad. I ordered the cherry chipotle glazed salmon. The salmon was cooked to my liking but had a little too much glazed. I really enjoyed the roasted asparagus since it really can accent any good meal. The best part of this place is their extensive beer list. I really enjoyed the Brewhouse Blonde and would love to try more in the future. The only reason why I gave this place 3 stars was our waiter was on the odd side. Even after writing this review a few months later I can still remember him seeming like a creeper. read more

Checked out this place since I had a gift card, the menu is extensive, great looking restaurant and atmosphere, my boyfriend ordered the Sunday prime rib special, it came with soup and wedge salad, I wasn't that hungry so I got a small plate of couscous mac and cheese we also shared the potatoes skins appetizer, the prime rib came with a side of asparagus. Overall the prime rib was advertised as 14 ounces but with it being so fatty it was probably like 6 oz. Of actual meat, the soup he got was clam chowder it was pretty bland the couscous mac and cheese and the potato skins were tasty. Overall I'm not ruling out coming back maybe to try out the pizza oh and the dessert that was included in the prime rib special was so yummy! read more

I went here a couple weeks ago with my best friend for lunch on a weekday, I made a reservation. I was excited, it reminded me a lot of the Cheesecake factory since they had so many options on the menu and multiple options for pizookies (dessert). As soon as I got there I loved that it wasn't busy and appreciated that they took the precautions to make us feel safe due to COVID (staff wore masks, they distanced people from sitting, etc.). Service was ok: Our waitress at first seemed really intimidating, no warm welcome or anything, I feel like she didn't want to be there at all, which kind of was a downer (I did feel bad for her though since I noticed she was answering the calls for pickup orders and all by herself it seemed); eventually her mood seemed a little better but still not all that friendly, which is what you want from a server when you go for dine-in service. She was okay, she did her job of taking our order and bringing out refills and all, but she kept bringing me the check even though we hadn't ordered dessert and hadn't applied my rewards ID, which made me feel kind of rushed. The place itself is beautiful, open, and clean. The food was great, we both had peach lemonade, we shared the little mozzarella bites (they came out nice and hot), and I ordered the shrimp tacos with salsa and avocado ranch (comes with two tacos, I'm not a fan of avocado but the avocado ranch was good). She got a burger with fries, which she liked. We tried the macadamia white chocolate pizookie and it was amazing with the scoop of ice cream, a great serving size. When you first walk in you gotta love the bar - nice setup plus huge TV. I'd definitely come here to chill and watch a game at the bar. Now onto the food.... Make Your Own Deep Dish Pizza - so this is what I came for. The dough was a tad bit undercooked and instead of a crispy hot crust I got a lukewarm doughy crust. What's funny is that they brought the stand and then brought the pizza out with tongs and said it was very hot and when I looked there was no steam coming off the pizza and when I touched the pan it was lukewarm at best. They basically could've carried it out on the palm of their hand. Piranha® Pale Ale Chili and Cheese Potato - this was the only potato listed on the menu. The servers could not locate any other potatoes. The potato was very plain and the chili was straight out of the can. There were no green onions and the sour cream came later after eating about 1/3 of it. The combo came with a salad that we barely touched - it seemed like an afterthought. The Corn Fritters was all dough and no corn. Corn is super cheap - come on now! Put some in there - don't call it a corn fritter with only 1 or 2 kernels of corns in each fritter. The Pizookie® Trio had undercooked cookies so tasted like raw dough so they all tasted the same even though we got red velvet, cookies n cream and triple chocolate. I did the beer sampler which allowed me to select 4 mini beers which were $6.95. I loved that I was able to try different ones and would definitely come back again. And our server was very attentive. GOOD: Atmosphere, great beer and attentive service. BAD: The food. read more

My first two visits were strictly the bar and bar food. Try their avocado rolls, you won't be disappointed. Generous warm chunks of avocado with tomatoes, red onions, cilantro, and spices. MmmMmmm... The third visit we tried their well-known pizzas: BJ's Favorite, Spicy Meatball and Barbecue Chicken. The pizzas were not too shabby, I would definitely order them again. But not only was I content with the quality of the pizza, but their customer service really blew me away. When we were nearly finished with our first pizza, one of our friend's found a piece of hair on his slice. We told our waitress and the manager immediately came to our table to personally apologize and took the pizza off our tab. We were still hungry so we ordered a second pizza. Halfway through the second pizza, our waitress informs us that our second pizza has been taken off the tab as well. They did enough by sincerely apologizing and taking it off our tab, but taking care of both pizzas? It was very generous and shows that they truly care about how their patrons are taken care of at their restaurant. Also, the boyfriend and I love Jameson shots with pickle back. So the waitress (and bartender from a previous visit) went to the kitchen to find pickle juice for us. And they even bought it out in pretty glassware. Look at my pics to see. Unfortunately not the best service I've had here. I've visited on previous occasions where the food and service was great. Decided to come back because of those previous visits. Sadly this visit wasn't as pleasing as the last. Having experience in the restaurant business you always know that the seat by the bathroom or kitchen door is the last spot a host would put a party if you had other seats in the section available. We were seated next to the bathroom/kitchen door AND next to where all the servers were socializing and folding napkins and forks. Not to mention the fact that host and server were not very friendly. As soon as they finished taking down orders they just plopped to the table beside us to continue socializing. We could hear every single word. And of course our food came out wrong. I absolutely LOVE this BJs. I come here literally 3x a week. I sit at the bar and Shonda always takes care of me! She makes sure my food is right and out on time. She ankles my drink order by heart & she gives outstanding service! All of the staff is really nice and welcoming. You can tell it's a family vibe at this location. I love it & it will always come here. I ordered the same thing. Every time I come, Mediterranean chicken tacos with Pinot Grigio with a side of Santa Fe dressing. The seating was fast, server was very polite. I ordered October fest beer from the tap and it was fresh, rich and toasty. I ordered stuffed mushroom and Roasted Vegetable and Goat Cheese. We had to wait for good 30 mins for food and we got our appetizers. stuffed mushroom were yummy and melt in your mouth. Although I wasn't happy with my main dish. The server brought me the wrong pizza with meat pieces on it. I had to wait another 20 mins for the right pizza which turned out to be good. Not too greasy or cheesy and fresh toppings. The best part...Their "Triple Chocolate Made With Ghirardelli" pizookies. Arrhhh, what a treat. warm crunchy and gooey cookie crust topped with rich chocolate ice-cream. Thank you Manager! --- I placed an order sitting at the curb with ASAP delivery. The app has a check in thing and I've literally been sitting in my car from 3:36 pm to 4:10 pm. Right up front and clearly visible. So I call and get a bag of cold food brought out. The manager is remaking my food and another 8 mins. So far I'm very upset. T is for Tysons Corner Interesting note: This is my 100th 4-star review I remember BJ's being good in Arizona. So, I thought to give BJ a try in Virginia. And believe me, I enjoyed BJ in Virginia too. I came here once in June 2014 for a happy hour Meetup group. I got the happy hour priced deep dish pizza, which is surprisingly good. I wasn't that surprised because I had it in AZ, but one might not expect their pizza to be that good as it's a chain restaurant that isn't specific to any one type of food. But in all honesty, I think this is even a little better than Pizzeria Uno nearby in Merrifield (see my review of them). It was a while ago; so I don't recall, but the service was not memorable either way being good or bad. I met a couple of chicks at this happy hour Meetup. One of them was nice while there, but I failed miserably in the days to follow. I won't get into that story. The second woman I had gotten her #, and we texted quite a bit. What a pleasant surprise! I was out shopping with a friend and we were running low on steam and needed a bite. I was worried about where we'd go since she has dietary restrictions (gluten free, etc). After finishing up at Nordstrom Rack, we ran into BJ's to see what their GF opts were, and honestly I wasn't expecting much - boy, was i wrong! They had lots of options and even had a dietary restrictions menu that breaks everything down! They also have a delish GF hard cider! The staff was super friendly and accommodating, especially our server. My friend had the bacon guacamole burger on a GF bun and I had the seared ahi tuna on a salad - both of which were great! Man, we come here pretty frequently and always have a good time, good food and great service...however, last night was a complete miss! My office let me pick where I wanted to have our baby shower so I picked this place because it's always been great when I've been here before. Boy were we all disappointed after meeting here last night. It was really just the service that was terrible, our server wasn't attentive, nice, or personable. Our party wasn't that big and the restaurant wasn't very packed when we first were seated. He was fairly rude to my boss who has quite a few dietary restrictions, but as someone who is very familiar with the food service industry, I expected the server to be a bit nicer and more accommodating. The server was also hard to find, and it took forever to finally be able to order food. A few people decided they weren't even going to eat, because just ordering drinks was such a hassle. I'm not sure why the server was so annoyed or irritated with us, it appears BJ's is forward leaning with their tablets to put orders in and also split checks... As much as I love BJ's I think it's time for us to take a break until I start seeing some better reviews about improving the service here. I went to BJ's last night to grab a steak after a long day, and I've never been more disappointed. I ordered a prime rib, and I'm not sure what they served me. I can only describe it as a large hunk of fat with a tiny sliver of meat inside. I poked at it a bit just to make sure I was seeing what I was actually seeing. I say this in all seriousness with no hyperbole, I wouldn't have fed this to my dog. A dog probably would've figured out a way to extract the small piece of meat and left the rest on the ground. I told the bartender I wasn't going to eat it. He took it back and confirmed the manager agreed it never should've left the kitchen. However, the manager never came out to apologize, or offer a discounted meal. The bartender, who was great btw, asked if I wanted something else, and I made the mistake of ordering a ribeye. In hindsight, I should've left, but I was so hungry, and very tired. The bartender came out with a very dry ribeye, of which I took enough bites to curb my hunger and left. I was charged $54 (I also had two beers) I tipped the bartender because he had to deal with the nonsense. I will never go to this place again because not only was the food trash, but they clearly did not value me as a customer. The sad thing is I work very close to this restaurant and it's a nice atmosphere. I can't speak on any other food choices at this restaurant, but if you feel like a steak, DO NOT go to BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse in Tysons. read more

My stomach hasn't stopped churning! Service was slow- we won't be returning nor we would we ever recommend this restaurant to friends or family.
