Endless Shrimp (Garlic Shrimp Scampi, marry me shrimp, Walt's Favorite Shrimp)
    Thomas V.

I got the Endless Shrimp option which gives you unlimited shrimp dishes and one side dish for $24.99. They're all seasoned and many of the shrimp dishes have a lot of butter on them. This will fill you up quickly. I am a heavy eater and only got through 6 dishes before getting stuffed. I wouldn't say the shrimp was anything special but it gets the job done. Their Red Lobster biscuits are to die for. They're super good! Staff was nice and checked back often although it did take a while for our first dishes to arrive. The restaurant is pretty quiet on a Friday late afternoon.

I don't expect that much from a Red Lobster, but still hit the spot with cravings! Crab was standard alongside the hush puppies and veggies, but did like the seasoning with the potatoes underneath. Did enjoy the biscuits a lot though. Our waitress was very kind too! Bathroom was not clean. Lots of parking I'd say.

    Weird mushy lobster tail

If you have memories of going to Red Lobster in the 90s or 2000s, you'll probably be disappointed. Although they have retained the classic Red Lobster decor, the place didn't look very well cared for. The place was completely dead on a Saturday evening when we were "greeted and seated" by the less than enthused hostess. I don't think the hostess ever communicated to our server that he had another table because it took forever to get someone's attention. In the meantime, someone who I presume was the manager walked around looking at tables but didn't care to engage or even ensure that customers were being attended to. If we didn't ask for help, it is likely that the lobsters in the tank would have died of natural causes before we were ever attended to. Our waiter was nice but somehow the kitchen was 'backed up' and it took over an hour to get our food. When it came, the seafood boil was subpar, the shrimp lousier than fast food offerings and the lobster was either undercooked or diseased (half of it was firm and the other half stringy and mushy). We left feeling grossed out and I probably won't set foot in a Red Lobster ever again. If you are from Red Lobster and reading this, please don't bother trying to offer us a free entree or anything -- I don't want it.

My son & I came here for an early dinner around 5pm. This is the closest Red Lobster to Tysons. Unless I wanted to drive to Dulles. The restaurant was pretty empty when we showed up. I think we caught a shift change so that's why we waited about 7 mins before our server came over. We were ready to order. 2 iced waters, a basket of cheddar bay biscuits & we shared the Ultimate Feast. We decided on snow crab legs, Maine lobster tail, shrimp scampi and grilled shrimp. Our 2 sides were house salad and loaded baked potato. That cost extra $1.99 each. Not a big deal. The biscuits of course were salty, buttery, cheesy, crusty on the outside, pillowly soft on the inside. The salad came out with the biscuits. I ordered with thousand island dressing. The veggies were fresh, cold and crisp. Cheese, tomatoes, lettuce of all sorts, onions and croutons. All mixed together were a symphony of textures, flavors and temperatures. The main course came out. Our server brought out plastic gloves! That's a first. The plate was extremely hot. The food was piping hot as well. The snow crabs were good but we know they were steamed from frozen. The lobster was a little overcooked but still good. The two types of shrimp were also very good and flavorful. Maybe a tad bit overcooked on the grilled shrimp but the shrimp scampi in garlic butter was succulent. Service was good as it was our server's first day. We overheard another booth giving her a hard time with their demands and requests. Very very annoying. I hooked her with a 40% tip for her service and for having to deal with the difficult booth. The food could use a little improving with not overcooking but at least it wasn't undercooked! 4/5

The food still is good after being in business for so long , the shrimp was sweet and crunchy and mashed potatoes were good, the server was really nice and attentive with us as well

A lot of value for what you pay for. Cheddar bay biscuits are warm and cheesy; super fat and oily goodness that should be enjoyed in moderation. Calamari is slightly spicy even though the inside is squishy, but the outside is crispy. Fair Mac and cheese that probably deserved a bit more salt and cheese. Grilled rainbow trout was a wholesome meal paired with broccoli. would skip the dry fries and go for Brussels sprouts instead though. Super nice staff and quick service.

As soon as we entered, General Manager Sam welcomed us like old friends. After we were seated, my wife asked if he had previously worked at The Dabney, and sure enough, that's where we recognized him from. It was great catching up as he shared what he'd been doing since then and how his dream had always been to open his own restaurant. Seeing that dream come to life made the evening feel even more special. The restaurant was busy (definitely make reservations), but we were able to enjoy cocktails while we waited for our table. My Grey Goose martini with bleu cheese olives was phenomenal and set the tone for the rest of the meal. We started with the Bison Tartare and the Ceviche. The bison tartare was leaner than traditional beef tartare, and the crispy chips added the perfect savory crunch. The ceviche was incredibly fresh and bright. For our entrées, I had the ribeye while my wife ordered the Dory. The ribeye was cooked perfectly--juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. My wife couldn't stop talking about how buttery and delicious the fish was. To finish the evening, we ordered the 100-Year Port Flight featuring 10-, 20-, 30-, and 40-year ports. Vertical tastings are such a fun way to experience how a wine evolves over time. The 40-year was absolutely outstanding, and the 20-year was another favorite. The 10-year was enjoyable but still showed its youthful character compared to the older vintages. The atmosphere strikes a nice balance between upscale and relaxed. The main dining room can feel a little tight when the restaurant is full, while the bar area has a few TVs for anyone wanting to catch a game. One thoughtful touch that stood out was the women's restroom being stocked with amenities like hair ties and hair clips. We noticed they also offer a tasting menu, and after this experience, that's already on our list for our next visit. Between the outstanding hospitality, exceptional food, excellent cocktails, and welcoming atmosphere, Evelyn Rose absolutely earned five stars.

Wife and I sat at the Chef's Counter for a truly wonderful meal last night. The menu is exceptional, five courses, several with two options, and the progression was just perfect. We really loved all of the dishes, but for sure the ravioli with wild asparagus and ramps is one I will remember for a long time. The octopus was also a memorable dish, and the poussin was complex, layer after layer of flavor and the salt level was so good...just perfect food, perfectly executed. Oh, and shout out to the owner's dad, who is in his 90s and makes the bread, a rich sourdough, served warm, that has a 50 year old starter at its essence. Yum. We did the wine pairings and I def recommend. Some really good wines, curated from small vineyards globally, matched perfectly and well presented. The sommelier nailed it. We also just loved the service. Nice touches pre arrival, they are expecting you when you arrive and there's a lovely personal touch and welcoming feel. The ambience is warm, and you can hear and talk and it does feel like you're at a dinner party with friends and family. Finally, shout out to the chefs and servers. Knowledgable, conversational, and charming. We really enjoyed the Chef's Counter and the entire experience. Kudos to Chef Jon Krinn and his family for creating this masterpiece of a restaurant. It is Michelin star worthy, and we cannot wait to go back.

I mean shame on them because they deserve some seriously high praise. And honestly, they pulled out all the stops for their recent New Years Eve dining experience - I'm talking caviar, white truffle, A5 wagyu, a custom cocktail (because they know I like gin and yuzu) and a painfully decadent dessert - What a way to send out 2025! I mean, honestly, the meal was exquisite and so perfectly executed. Each dish is crafted with a passion and care for food that absolutely shines. I mean the Foie Gras (sp??) - I don't even really like the stuff, put the way they sauteed it, put it on top of some sort of savory cake and slathered it with this balsamic gastrique - it was like bacon and pancakes smothered in maple syrup just amplified to 100. Bottom line: I would eat this every day (and amplify my weight by 100 too). The snow crab, I don't know if it's the care in selecting the product or the techniques used to prepare it (probably both ), but they packed so much crab flavor into that dish! And the dark chocolate cheesecake, it was magic that can make something so dark, so bold, so rich feel so light when you are eating it. This was just one specific meal here, but I am surprised and delighted every time we get the privilege to dine at Elyse. It's not just the food, it's the atmosphere and the attention of the staff. We were unfortunately served the branzino topped with only the Chilean garlic sauce and not the lemon caper sauce at all. The server wasn't seeming to know what to do with our dissatisfied reaction, so we decided to salvage the fish and ordered the lemon caper on the side, it tasted bland at best. Fish was fine, but unfortunately there was nothing worth mentioning positively about it for its $37 price point. *Neither sauce was worth ordering and unfortunately neither tasted how they were described, more like plain aioli. In our ignorance, we didn't realize branzino meant the whole fish would be served versus a filet. It would have been nice to have been able to read that fact on the menu prior to ordering. We ordered the truffle fries, which had probably zero amounts of truffle on them. Overcooked. We ordered the tropical mojito mocktail, and it was either poorly made or the recipe could use a complete reset. The crab stuffed mushrooms and sauce, amazing. Server, kind. We were asking quite a few questions of him, trying to decide between the Chilean with lobster or the branzino, which showed our ignorance in the fish choices, I believe. A good server would have picked up on this, and went into a much more detailed explanation of both dishes to educate and inform us on making the right decision. So I think it's pretty accurate to say that a good majority of the problems we had could have been salvaged had he been a little more seasoned at reading the individual needs of his customers. Although, with ordering either of these entrees or the truffle fries, we would have been disappointed as the flavor was just not there. Being out of towners used to seafood from California, we were excited to try a new place on the east coast. I read multiple positive reviews from other customers, and unfortunately we are leaving disappointed in the $80 spent. We joked that perhaps the usual chef called in sick and the bus boy took his place. Underwhelming. Overcooked. Bland. But, they had pretty tables.
