I've never been to this location but I decided to order through Uber eats tonight. I ordered the avocado egg rolls (my favorite), the chicken pot stickers, and the spinach and artichoke dip. Naturally food taste better when it's fresh so given the circumstances everything was good with the exception of the spinach dip. It was a solid, smelly log. Went here on a Monday night. The place was packed. At least the wait for a table wasn't so bad (about 15 minutes). We ordered the roast beef au jus sandwich and fries ($9.95), medium 2-topping pizza ($16.95), and kid's meal ($5.25, choice of meat with a side and drink). The sandwich was tasty. The deep-dish pizza with large chunks of juicy tomatoes, black olives, and pepperoni was delicious. The kid's corndogs weren't so great, but my niece ate them anyway. She mostly dug out the meat and left the outer shells on her plate. She didn't touch her mashed potatoes, but her strawberry lemonade was tasty. I kept sneaking sips when she wasn't looking. :) Our server wasn't so friendly or attentive, but at least he apologized for taking so long with our silverware and napkins. The place was busy, so maybe he was just having a bad day and had to bus more tables than he could handle. Still, service can add or delete a star in my book! read more

I wasn't very thrilled with this place. With so much competition in the area you'd imagine the wait staff and bartenders would be overly fast and courteous to make sure they stay ahead of the pack.... hmmm... well not BJ's. I sat at a small table in the bar area where I was only surrounded by a few other hungry peeps. The bartender and waitress was taking orders and serving. I'll just quickly list what peeved me off: -It took between 5-10 minutes for anyone to even take my drink order. -Burger and fries took about 45 minutes to come out. It probably sat under the warmer for half that time. -I tried to get beer refills but couldn't get the attention of the bartender who was at the table next to me chatting it up with her friends and when I did get her attention she said she'd get it in a second but continued to chat it up for about another 5 minutes. Yeah, this is a chain, but it is also a brewhouse so I'm willing to forgive them. I'd driven by every Tuesday and Thursday for a whole semester and drooled at the thought of a good microbrew so we finally went in. It was packed. Granted, Clear Lake only has so many options before you have just resign yourself to driving into Houston, so I guess I should've expected it. There was a 45 minute wait for two people, so we headed straight to the bar and seated ourselves. My hefeweizen was okay, though not a true hef. It was more like a white ale (think Blue Moon), but I was fine with it. My hubby likes red beers and my sip confirmed that I still don't like anything but wheat beers. We ordered a pizza and I was shocked at how good it was. The hubby wasn't even hungry, but he ended up eating half of it anyway and we didn't leave any crumbs on the plate--it was that good. Our waitress was quick and efficient. The whole process had us in and out in less than an hour which is exactly what we had in mind. I suppose as long as you don't go during their busy time, you'll be able to grab a table and enjoy your meal though there's plenty of room in the bar area. I'm not certain how packed this place can be on a normal night, but at 8pm on NYE, there was not an empty seat in the restaurant. My friends smartly made a beeline for the bar area. No wait, we had a nice big bar table with stools (with backs) for ourselves, and the choice of watching the Rockets game on one of three flat screen TVs. Just be forewarned, this is also a smoking section. There are tall Plexiglas dividers, but they can keep out just so much smoke from the rest of the restaurant. I had the Artichoke and Spinach Pizza. It was great, no Star Pizza, but really great. They were deep dish with cheese cooked over the sides in areas. The one thing I didn't like were the tomatoes. They were fresh, but I just don't like fresh, cooked tomatoes on pizza. Sauce is fine, fresh and cooked is weird and a bit too watery for my liking. This is a chain and I HAVE eaten at the one in Boulder. They look completely different. The one in Boulder has a college football team spirit/wooden furniture/ski lodge vibe to it. It's in a strip mall and is very small. This one is gigantic with lots of booths and a smoking section. Both have gigantic kettles of their brew which are tapped for serving. They're neat to look at. I don't drink beer anymore, but it's nice to see the list of beers and their descriptions. They have a full bar and wine list. The wine is great, but average and a little on the pricey side. If you're in the area, I'd recommend BJs...a friend of mine warns, however, stay away from the pasta. read more

I really like this place but the service is very slow in particular a dark headed waitress that has been there since opening that we almost always manage to get. I think she has attention disorder, but its awful when your in a rush for lunch. She gets upset when you complain or ask for help after politely waiting 30 mins or so for her to return with silverware. Anyway, dont get her run. But the food is great. I love the Avacodo rolls, a bit wierd at first but you will ask for them again, The appetizer pizza sausage is great ! Sliders, and main dishers are wonderful. Came here on a Wednesday Night, the place was pretty packed for a week night. We went to the bar area, and our waitress was very nice in recommending beer. Happy Hour is from 3 PM - 7 PM and 9 - 11 PM which is sort of awesome, appetizers are 2$ off, mini pizzas are 1/2 off, and beers are 1$ off. we had an amazing berry cider, which tasted like juice but apparently it had 4% alcohol. then i proceeded to order another ale, hated it, and my companion asked if i could switch the beer out, and the waitress did it without questions. service was definitely amazing, mini pizza (artichoke) was actually really good! BJ's BREWHOUSE A NICE SURPRISE! OK, so we picked BJ's Brewhouse, in Webster, TX, because we were desperate. We had just checked into our hotel across the street (Thursday, 11/14/13) after a twenty-three hour, two-day drive from Vegas, and we were famished. The parking lot was packed so we figured "Twenty Million Frenchmen Can't Be Wrong." Right? Right! BJ's proved a very pleasant surprise (it was our first time there). No actual Frenchmen were spotted. We requested a seat as far from the madding crowds as possible, and were given a corner booth next to the kitchen, away from the giant TV screen on which droned some football game. Perfect. We couldn't escape the overall din of a packed house with TVs everywhere, but hunger drove us to examine the menu and ignore the din. Presently we were proffered drinks, and soon thereafter along came our very personable and capable waitress, Cheyenne. We asked her advice on menu choices, asked several detailed questions, requested 2-3 alterations and additions, and Cheyenne was off to put in our order. I took her recommendation and ordered a pint of her personal favourite brewsky, the Jeremiah Red (light, a bit sweet, not overpowering), and followed it with the Angus burger melt on sourdough. My wife went for the fried artichoke appetizer and a heaping bowl of chicken noodle comfort soup. All dishes came out exactly as ordered, and tasted great. The ambiance was "upscale brewhouse" with leather booths ringing the room and tables scattered throughout. The crowd was largely young and hip, with the exception of us two old farts in the corner. Yes, we'd go back again. Yes, we'd ask for the delightful Cheyenne. Yes, I'd have another Jeremiah Red. No, we'd skip going on a Thursday night, if we could avoid it. Gets a bit rowdy for our tastes. We came in for Saturday Lunch after a baseball tournament and for a birthday, and we had a fantastic experience! The hosts were friendly, the waitress was very professional and the serving staff was excellent. We were asked by 3 members of management about how things were, and thanked 3 times for coming on our way out. Staff is outstanding. The food was excellent as well. I love the tri tip, which is different for Texas. Nachos were spot on. Avocado Egg Rolls were delicious. The kids loved their pasta too! All a very great lunch. While they are a "brewery", they don't brew beer onsite. So, points off for that. (The beer is brewed at St. Arnold's just for BJ's.) It's also kind of like a Bennigan's inside but bigger and more open. The menu is just as long and diverse. The only thing that really turned me off was the blaring of the terrifically bad 80's music. On the weekends, there will be a wait. (What did you expect? It's OTL and people OTL have nothing better to do on a Saturday night than eat out.) The waitress was so very nice and she was honest about her take on the brews. I might go back and sample some of the other flavors but if my socks aren't knocked off at that visit, I won't be driving an hour each way for dinner again. Overall, if you are in the area, try it. Very crowded for a Friday night. Long but accurate wait time. Atmosphere wasn't too bad. Took the staffs recommendation for an appetizer and beer selection, both came back subpar. Definitely do not recommend the loaded french fries or the harvest hefeweizen which had a banana after taste. My friend had the salmon entree and he really enjoyed it. I unfortunately didn't have the same experience with the black and blue dry burger. I was surprisingly pleased by the offering of a caprese salad, which was tasty. My husband and I ate here last week on Thursday night and it was wonderful!! I have eaten here on many occasions, but he had never been. There was no wait. We sat in the bar in a nice cushy booth, and the service was great!! The beer here is very tasty! He had a Tatonka and a Piranha and I had 2 berry burst ciders (so delicious and my favorite!!!). For dinner he had Parmesan crusted chicken with white cheddar mashed potatoes...yum!!! I had the shrimp tacos that were to die for!!! We didn't have dessert, but the pizookies are to die for!!! Who can resist a warm, giant cookie with ice cream?!?! It is a little pricey at night so make sure to bring your piggy bank. Being from Chicago originally, I'm not a huge fan of their deep dish pizza. It doesn't hold a candle to the real thing. Everything else on the menu that I have tried has been phenomenal. BJ's is a suburbanite's paradise. It's big, crowded, loud, and the menu has a myriad of options. If you've never been to a BJ's, it's kind of like a cross between a Chili's and a Cheesecake Factory. Instead of cheesecake, they have beer. And lots of other alcohol - wine, sangria, mojitos, martinis, etc. The food is pretty good. I like their lighter menu. My favorite item is the mahi or shrimp tacos, which you can get grilled or fried and they come with chips and salsa. Pretty good and under 1,000 calories (most things on the menu ARE NOT). They're known for the pazookie (sp?) which is a warm cookie and ice cream and which is, of course, amazing. Overall, I like BJ's well enough. Not on a weekly basis or anything, but once every few months is fine. It's affordable enough and good if you're looking for a place with a lot of American-food variety. It's not my favorite place to go to but it's the only one that's open past 10:00 pm in this area. The staff has been friendly & courteous. The spinach & artichote appetizer is good & my spouse likes the sliders, the rest are overpriced. The gourmet mac and cheese is enough to share for 2 but it's heavy. The golden beet & arugula salad is light & refreshing. The only mains worth mentioning is the mahi mahi tacos, the California chicken club, soup bowls & the pizza. The pizookies are very tasty. I'm not a beer fan, I have recently tried the berry burst cider & really loved it. Overall, for the money you'll spend here, you can get a much better meal that will cost you half the price somewhere else in the neighbourhood. read more

The hostess at the takeout counter said no one had ever requested this before, which def surprised me considering the nature of the menu (i.e. lots of pizza). When I asked if she could please input our phone number for points, she instructed me to send an email to support in order to have this done. Apparently she didn't know how to do this, so now the customer is responsible for going through the hassle of figuring it out. Aside from the lack of service, the food was only decent. Definitely not the quality or service that I expect when I'm in Texas, and definitely not up to the standard that the BJ's restaurants in Phoenix have set. read more

We had burgers and BBQ Pizza that was wonderful. It took almost an hour for our food to arrive. I also called ahead because we had a table of 11 people. They had our spot ready on arrival (they also had plenty of room for a Friday night) The manager DID come to our table and offer to cover our desserts if anyone wanted some after our meal. If they were more prompt on meals and service I would go back. The food/beer/atmosphere is great but I will not be returning until I see better reviews on service from Yelp. read more

I just wanted to write and say Thank You to Sunshine and Jonathan the managers of BJ's in Webster Texas. I am in Charleston, SC and wanted to send my dad a nice dinner for his 80th birthday. There was a mix up with Door Dash, and so BJ's was very understanding and helped me set it up for the following night. My parents were soooo surprised and the food was hot and delicious. Door Dash delivered and provided OVER THE TOP customer service. Dree went above and beyond to make this special for my dad. He even offered to sing Happy Birthday, even after expressing he can't sing. Just even the thought of singing was a nice gesture. He videoed the whole thing and called me after and said "I did it! I was out of breath from climbing the stairs but I sang!" Customer service is lacking these days, but BJ's and Dree from Door Dash were amazing and shows me that there are still hard working, and genuinely nice people out there, that want to help others. Great Job! When I come to visit my folks I will make sure to come in with my family, eat, and say hi and thank you in person. You made my parents day, and mine. read more

I may have been there on a bad night, but I wouldn't recommend the place. First I was served a Margarita that was mostly sugar syrup and undrinkable. I let the waitress know it was far too sweet and ordered wine instead. She said maybe someone else at the table would like it, though of course they didn't want it. We were charged for it. She simple didn't care. I ordered soup in a bread bowl, which was served burnt. Visibly burnt. I knew at that point the waitress would likely ignore my complaints. I was with a group of people on a special occasion, and it would have been awkward to go make a fuss. This is my 3rd time at this location. I thought the first two times were a fluke or just new servers but after 3 times, that's a bigger issue. Two stars because I love the food. I will return to BJ's just not this one Service is SLOW. I went after work with my 3 year old to eat at 5 before her recital at 7. I left at 6:50 still only having water. I informed the server and manager and they shrugged. I went for lunch with a group of 4. Very basic orders (burgers, quesadilla, etc). Our server barely made eye contact with us. For me specifically she asked me 3 times, "oh I didn't see you come in, what can I get you?" What? I'm literally eating the food you brought me.... I get that it's a bad day but again to see the servers all chatting by the computer while tables all around are searching for their waitress. On the last 3 occasions - water takes 10 minutes, drinks take 15 (non alcoholic) and food.... Let's just say, make a day of it. And don't think the manager will care if you complain.
