I explained what I wanted and they provided a rough estimate of the cost that depended on how damaged the old drive was. They would look at the drive to see what the issue was and call me within 3 days. I got the call and luckily the old drive was still accessible so they would be able to transfer the files to the new drive. The cost was less that I expected. I had checked several businesses in the Los Angeles/Orange area and there services were a couple of hundred dollars more for basic data recovery. The new drive has the files and I am glad I found Westcoast. They also repair computers and mobile phones.

If I had Apple Care, it would've been a $99 deductible. I paid less than that deductible cost alone for Empire to replace my charging port! 10/10, I would absolutely recommend coming here for this, and the charging port isn't something Apple looks at when you trade in a phone. I decided while I was there to get a new battery as well since mine was two years old and only charging to 79% of the original capacity. Cheaper than Apple AND the phone recognizes it as a genuine Apple battery. The technician was friendly, answered all my questions, and finished in less time than quoted. I fixed the front screen and the back screen. I somehow made it to their shop and the guy there told me that with the price I paid for the screen, (which he did not tell me until two weeks later when my phone stopped working is not the highest quality) and that this happens sometimes and I can pay $50 more to get a screen where this will not happen . I did say I was just fixing the screen to send my phone in and get an upgrade, but I was not told that this would happen, and it has happened multiple times since then where the screen stops working and I have to restart my phone. So I just think other customers should be aware of this. Definitely pay the extra $50 but that also seems like something they should've communicated when I purchased this.

Young is the freaking man!!! He saved me from a specific iPhone problem in a very efficient and cost effective manner. My iPhone 15 Pro's screen got smashed and was completely useless (green lines across the screen, touch screen not functional at all). However, the phone itself still had power and seemed to be working fine as it would send texts/notifications to my Apple Watch. Upon getting a replacement phone through insurance, I found that my new phone had not been backed up and was about to lose months of data, photos, etc. I first went to the Apple Store, who said they couldn't help or fix my screen, but could refer me to some data recovery centers (who would charge thousands of dollars to try to rescue my data). Here comes Young to the rescue! Young was able to transfer the working screen from my replacement phone onto the smashed phone. In doing so, I was able to get back into my broken phone, back everything up to my computer + iCloud and rescue my data for a mere fraction of the cost the data recovery centers would have charged. Not only that, Young was willing and able to then transfer the working screen back to the new phone and said he would do it as a courtesy! I am beyond thankful for his help. Do yourself a favor and go to him when you have any sort of screen issues! read more

I was up late and in a hurry, trying to get ready for a wedding the next day, when I realized I had thrown my iPhone 5s in the washing machine. It didn't make it through a whole cycle, but it was submerged in soapy water for probably at least 10 minutes. I looked up Young on Yelp, and people had nothing but good things to say about him. So I took a chance with him instead of the insurance. And in less than a day, he had my phone working! I did have to replace the battery and screen, so it cost about $150, but that's much better than paying the $175 insurance deductible and waiting for a week or two just to get a junky refurbished phone. I called him up because I need my screen replaced and he answered the phone by the way there's a little bit far but I think it was just the navigation the weather in Sydney. It was a Manhattan in Beach a little small place off the Main Street. I met them and they're all he had really was a workbench in the cash register. That's it no frills but he took care of it. I sat there maybe 25 minutes and he had it done for me. I asked her for a price on my iPad because it screen is broken and I'll be contacting you soon. Thanks bud. read more

But as soon as I got home, my phone started turning on and off constantly--I couldn't even unlock it. Later, I found out the motherboard had been damaged during the repair. What made it worse was learning this was their first time attempting a back glass repair. They clearly weren't experienced, and the parts they used weren't Apple-certified (confirmed by an Apple technician I spoke with). And this isn't the first time this repair shop has broken another peoples phone. Because the phone was stuck in a boot loop, I couldn't recover anything from it and had no choice but to replace it entirely. After a lot of back-and-forth, the owner did eventually give me a full refund--but that doesn't make up for losing my phone and data. I will NOT be returning to iRepair Crack Mobile, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. They are not Apple-certified, and from my experience, they lack the proper qualifications for repairs like this.
