I was looking for a nice place to have dinner for tonight and I ended up stumbling across this place and decided to give it a try. I walked in and had to wait around 10 minutes for a table. I thought if it was this busy, it might as well be very good as other restaurants in this area which are very impressive with no wait at all. First impressions are alright, with the building looking a bit old and having an old-fashioned bar feel. We got sat down and immediately asked my drink. The waitresses are nice enough, but a little careless. I ordered the hazy ipa beer and a mocktail that looked appetizing. I went to the restroom, and it looked a bit concerning and dirty. I got back and the drinks still haven't arrived. I waited a bit more and it still did not arrive. In the end it took 10 minutes for my beer and my mocktail to arrive which surprised me at how poor and slow the service was and was pretty absurd. Now the mocktail was in fact pretty good and looked great. But the beer though, it was in a can and poured it in my cup. At first, the taste was a bit weird. I thought nothing of it until I read the can, and it said non-alcoholic. I was utterly shocked in a bad way. How can this big of a restaurant mess up something as small as serving the wrong beer? I of course notified the waiter and said they were out of the beer. I was pretty upset, but things happen, so I still gave it a chance. I ordered the campfire feast and for the appetizer I ordered the wagyu dumplings. Honestly, this caught me off guard because this was a very good dish. It was savory and fresh with a little bit of sweetness, but low in quantity. next up was the steak itself. I ordered the new york strip steak and the ribeye with some sides I forgot. The steaks were done medium, and it was little bit rubbery and the ribeye had a lot of fat in it. The strip steak was very chewy with not much juice, and although the ribeye was alright with a smoky flavor, it can't justify the amount of fat on the steak. The sides though, were pretty horrendous, and was memorable in the worst way possible. It had no flavor and it was not satisfying to chew on or eat. I had not high hopes for the remaining dish, the dessert, and honestly, it was not bad being the large cookie with ice cream on top. The cookie was hot and the ice cream was cold giving an interesting combination. Overall, I get this is a budget steakhouse, but I wouldn't recommend people going here. I think this is the problem with chain restaurants being unpredictable, but I think it's fine if you don't expect much. read more

Ordered the tomahawk steak for two that comes with appetizer, 2 sides and dessert. More than enough for 2 people. Their tomahawk steak is so good, prepared perfectly the way you like it. This is what we order every time we come here. We never eat the whole steak as their portions are huge. For appetizers, the potato and crab cakes are really good. We also like their roasted Brussels sprouts. We normally eat here during the work week to avoid the crowd, still a crowd but the wait is not too bad. Our servers are always friendly and on point with suggestions or options. The dining area is nice and cozy as most of the seats are booths. Went in for an early dinner Monday and the floor was dirty with little papers about. Sat us in a booth that was ripped on the seat. Proceeded to slide in and noticed the shadow of dirt the upholstered booth that had to be from customers backs. Very dirty. The restaurant smelled stale. What a shame we used to have a pleasant experience here. We ended up walking out. There are too many choices in Goodyear now to eat at a unkept restaurant. read more

Black Angus was an 80's staple. The bar scene was legendary, and it was a California hotspot for years. In the 90's and 2000's it's shine began to fade and many closed down. It's good to see it survived in Goodyear. Steak is the name Of the game here. And their steaks are solid. Sure, they may not serve the grade of meat at say, Durant's, but the prices are less than half of those places. Black Angus will serve you a good-to-great steak, with some fresh sides and all for a reasonable steak price. The service has been stellar at this location, Mitch particularly good service from Matiyah at the bar. The food has been fresh and tasty and I'd come here when someone in your party is craving a good steak and you don't want to break the bank. I recommend the ribeye. read more

Used to be a favorite place to go....we haven't been in about a year so we decided we will go for family's late birthday dinner. It took 10min for the waitress to greet us and take an order, 15 min for the drinks to get to the table, 10min to take our order, 15 min for the appetizer and 30 min to get our food. we ordered medium rare but we got medium almost well done. Kids meal fries were so sorry, the picture was before my kid even touched anything on the plate. Fried zucchini price went up and the slices were so much thinner so it was not good anymore. We did get there somewhat late but kids fell asleep waiting for the food, when it all was said and done it was 1.5hr since we walked in. I don't think we will be going back anymore. read more

I made reservations at the Goodyear, AZ location for my birthday, expecting a special night out. Instead, I walked into a grimy nightmare. The hostess greeted us with the warmth of a brick wall--cold, unwelcoming, and uninterested. Then we were seated next to the kitchen, which turned out to be the worst spot in the entire filthy restaurant. The carpet was beyond disgusting--blackened with layers of who-knows-what, riddled with stains that looked like they'd been there since the place opened. It reeked of old grease, spilled drinks, and something sour that made my stomach turn. I couldn't help but wonder: if the part of the restaurant customers see is this filthy, what horrors are lurking in the kitchen? Our server was no better. She never greeted us, never smiled--just showed up at the table and barked, "What can I get you to drink?" No acknowledgment of my birthday, even though I had noted it in my reservation. Her attitude was as stale as the air in that place. I didn't even bother staying. I walked out, disgusted and disappointed, and I will never be back. If you care at all about cleanliness, good service, or even just a decent dining experience, avoid this place like the plague. read more

The wait staff were so kind and helpful. It's a great price for everything we got and we weren't even left with leftovers like we usually are it was that good! Perfect portions as well. The only thing I did notice is our booth was a little dirty on the back and it smelled kinda mildew musty. I can understand if it's outdated but that was my only thing I noticed. Black Angus is a steakhouse; however had a variety of other things and the Steak and Lobster dinner was a little pricey but worth it. The steak was prepared perfectly along with the lobster. Also, we had a great server who has worked for the company for 27 years. The fried zucchini is probably one of the better appetizers, but we needed a bigger serving of the cucumber dip. The ribs were said to be baby back, but were way too big and meaty to fall into that category. Also, the macaroni and cheese was not the best version of this side dish. i came back to this place after ordering takeout and the steak cut i got was terrible. all fat and cooked to the point it was rubbery. i called to complain as someone would after spending $20 for a cut that wasnt good. well im back today to use my free entree which btw have to pay an equal amount value of what you want. as im writting this its been over an hour since i had ordered my food. food was ordered at 720pm its 820pm and nothing nothing as a refill for my water. we had some lady come up to give us someone elses meal. and ontop of that they sat us next to the entrance of the kitchen wont be coming here ever again nor recommend it to anyone.. ridiculous . just got my food after an hour smells great but jesus cant make someone wait an hour for dinner. read more
