This was a true disappointment!! We went to celebrate my son's 13th birthday yesterday and our waiter was rude on several occasions. It took Jared A. over twenty minutes to come over to greet us and when I told him it was my sons 13th birthday, his body language showed me he didn't believe me/us. He seemed bothered when I asked him for bread and butter, silver wear or my daughters drink he missed. He acted like if I was bothering him. I requested my meat not be butterfly cut and he response was, we don't do that. Like if I was stupid. I then told him about past experiences. He needs to respect my decisions and not shut me down. The other patrons were getting their meals fairly quickly, but not us. We waited and waited and I understand we are not the only patrons, but the other waitresses were running around being so polite to their guests. He finally brings my husbands and my dessert out, but not for my kids. We waited for over 15-20 minutes waiting until I asked him what about my kid's desserts. Again he was rude and bothered. Another waitress had to bring out their dessert. I'm thinking my son would be sung to and yet nothing. We continue to wait. I finally ask him about my son's birthday song and he said rudely that I never said a thing. I reminded him he said happy birthday to him. He responded by saying if all I want is a free cookie he would give it to me. Wow!! I was tired of his behavior and told him I didn't need his sarcasm. He was due a $30 tip, if he could have behaved professionally, but he choose to be a horrible human. In all our experiences at Black Angus Lancaster, this was our first time encountering such behavior. Do we have to bring in a birth certificate?? Please review the footage from last night and you will see what I mean. I did let the hostess know about Jareds behavior, but I was livid to speak to a manager. I didn't want to embarrass or disappoint my son. If you plan to keep people like Jared there. Make sure you have someone train him properly and or have a manager follow up with Jared's patrons as they dine. This will keep his behavior at bay. There are so many people that need jobs and would benefit from a job like Jared's. I called to speak to a GM today and they said she would not be in until Wednesday after 3pm. read more

My steak was excellent. I haven't been here in awhile so was disappointed they no longer offer the roasted artichoke. I would suggest they turn off their AC now ..the waitress was very nice about moving me elsewhere. The hostess could allow single diners to sit at the bar (instead of making me wait). I finally sat myself because the lower bar had only 2 people at a table and 1 at the bar and I was the only single waiting with 1 couple and 2 bigger groups. I won't comment on food, we never even got to that point. We came at lunch on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't busy inside all all. The place appeared clean, but bathrooms were gross. Walking in, the hostess was not pleasant at all or welcoming. She asked how many and we said "two adults and one child" she corrected and said "so three". Okay, so she seats us in an area where no one was around. We sat there for 10 minutes and no one ever came to even take drinks. We gave it a few more minutes and just got up and left. Came here with some friends for a night out. Our reservations were at 6 pm, they called us right on time. We had a nice table with plenty of room. Our waiter was super nice, I didn't get his name I wish I had. Place was busy and our waiter still had time to get our order in a timely matter and check on us. This is what I got.... I ordered the grilled chicken, broccoli, and cole slaw. The menu states that the broccoli comes with butter, it doesn't ask for it or you will get plain broccoli on your plate. I didn't care for the cole slaw it wasn't creamy and did not have the flavor I was hoping for. The grilled chicken was very moist and it had the right amount of seasoning. If you are dieting this is the right plate for you to order. My plate was around $18 and change. Over all I really like this place for dinner night. I will come back again and maybe try one of their drinks. My reason for giving this place 4 stars is the girls in the front need to greet customers as they come in, they look very snotty and act like it too. read more

Well what a way to celebrate my mother in law's birthday, our waiter Rachel was completely rude from taking our order and walking off mid order and taking 20mins to come back and finish our order. When she finally comes back to take our order she still has a f up attitude she's huffing and puffing and acts like we're bothering her while telling her our orders. Everything was an extended process due to her attitude and lack of customer service, we arrived at 7:30 and didn't get any of the food we ordered til well after they were closed, we couldn't even enjoy our meal so we just packed up and lefts. There was a party there who was larger than ours and arrived after we did and had all of their food and drinks brought out I think she intentionally put our orders in late it's no way we're sitting an hour and a half before getting any food. I spoke to the manager he did discount our bill but that didn't ease the way we were treated or the way we felt. read more

If I could give 6 stars I would. My encounters with BA in the past years have not always been good or even favorable. The food has generally been fair to poor, and the service has been spotty to say the least. A few months ago we had a family gathering with about 10 people and the service was outstanding and the food was exceptional. Based on that since the Broken Bit was booked up for St Valentine's day I booked for 3 people for 6:30 PM. Walked in the door at 6:20 and was greeted by a lobby full of people. Checked in and was told 20 minutes. Was actually 25 minutes but I could see the staff was breaking their butts on getting people moved through. Was seated at a great table and Victoria greeted us, took our drink orders and was back with them fairly quickly. From there service went through the roof. She was virtually almost at a slow run the entire time and on her toes. Every time our drinks got low she was there. The food was out hot and presentation was almost perfect. If we needed anything she was ON It! Everyone around us was getting the same treatment. She was stunning! The Prime Surf and turf combo was excellent. Only one thing I would change is serving the Crab cakes as an appetizer instead of part of the entree. Makes for too many things to eat when you're working on the meat as the main item. All three entrees were outstanding as was dessert. The management is taking their job seriously as they had a supervisor/coordinator watching the Dining room with a 'pad seating chart. Good show. We'll be back if we ever want a lighter atmosphere over the 'Bit. read more

Whenever I come to the Antelope Valley to work, one of my first stops is to the Black Angus. I have not found a better wedge salad anywhere, however the quality of the ribeye steak I had today makes me wonder what has happened with their quality control. I ordered the 16 ounce steak, cooked medium-rare. I was perhaps a bit closer to rare, but I was fine with it until I attempted to cut into it. It was so tough, I had difficulty cutting through the tendons and gristle. I ate less than one-third of it. When my server asked if I wanted to take it home with me, I declined. She didn't ask if there was a problem with it. I left a fairly generous tip, since it wasn't her fault. With all of the other steakhouses in the Valley, I doubt I'll ever go back. Now, I have to tell all of my co-workers to disregard the suggestion that they try the Black Angus for a great steak. Very disappointed. read more

Patrons waiting to be seated offered assistance, thank you. A good Samaritan patron requested a chair or permission to be seated in the waiting area. Request denied buy a maskless little girl behind the podium. Second request also denied. I was told to go outside and wait. ADA complaint filed with department of justice. In response to the business owner. On any given night there are a minimum of 30 people waiting inside the restaurant to be seated. Moving aggressively with the ADA complaint. Many witnesses and many offers to help as supporting documentation. read more

It's my birthday & I called ahead of time to get a space & mentioned it was my birthday & I'd be by myself with my two babies. This restaurant has done a terrible job with making it special in any way. The server I had wasn't very polite and acted very weird when she asked if anyone else was joining me & I said it was just me with my kids. I should've left once I felt that change with her but decided to still wait it out. She only came once more to find out what I wanted to order & that was it. She didn't care to check on us any other time but was having a good time with the other guests she was serving. I receive better service at In N Out & you better bet that's where I went after leaving this mundane establishment. Hate that they changed the menu and got rid of the lunch specials. Used to get the burger lunch special. I would come in about twice a week. They changed the menu, now charging more for other items - think that will generate more income, but I will not be coming in as much now because of the change so doesn't make sense. Why can't they ask their customers, the ones that support them all the time _ I guess they don't care about the customers, only the bottom line of how much can charge. Their molasses bread and butter is to die for! Keep em coming. They also have great happy hour specials and their portions are large, so you can definitely share. Their blackberry mojito is on point and is also available on the happy hour menu. They fake large parties as well, it's a great meet up for social hour or dinner. The artichoke was fine but the prime rib pretty terrible. They serve you a gray piece of meat which for some reason is seared before they bring it out. And it was tough meat with no taste -about as bad a prime rib can get and that dings this down so much. Besides this meat being old and reheated, searing a prime rib should never be done. It's a sacrilege and defeats the whole philosophy behind the standing rib roast. If that's all black Angus is able to produce as prime rib I would recommend to take it off the menu. read more

This is one of my favorite places to eat in the AV. I go here probably 7-10 times a year. I have never had a bad experience. Most of my visits are for lunch or early afternoon. The servers are always pleasant and attentive. They recently did a remodel on the inside. Where before it was very dark with lots of dark wood now has much lighter colors and it is very open and inviting. I went for lunch yesterday and had the center cut filet mignon special with the lobster mac & cheese and a garden salad. My filet was cooked to perfection (medium). The salad and mac & cheese were delicious as well. My server was Tamarie. Never had her wait on me before, but she greeted me with a smile and a pleasant hello. She made me feel very welcome.
