Terrible food and service last night. Took FOREVER for someone to take drink orders. I was told that the bartenders were going to be "mad" because I ordered an Espresso martini as "they are hard to make". Umm, thanks, now I feel bad. The Espresso martini was OILY!! My lips felt like I had Vaseline on them. What kind of alcohol is oily? We ordered wine before we finished our appetizer and it didn't arrive until we were halfway done with dinner. AND we had to remind the server that we had ordered it. Steaks were fatty. Mashed potatoes and hubby's au gratin were good. Love as we get in the restaurant, someone always greets us. They seat us almost immediately. Our server Franky was amazing, we always order the same food. However today we tried a couple different items in the menu, because he asked if we would like to try the fried shrimp. and we did and we'r glad we did. They delicious. He suggested drinks while we wait on our food The drinks ! well let me just say, everyone in the club getting tipsy Grabky was very attentive and stopped by to see how we were doing, if we needed anyt else. Franky looked like he loves what he does, was happy to have us. I loved the background music , lighting was perfect. Our server was Francisco (Frankie) who was one of the best servers we've ever had anywhere. Frankie had the best personality, he was so welcoming, personable and funny. He took great care of us during our visit. We ordered the 2 for $60.00. It included the appetizer, 2 mains ( we ordered the New York strip steak) 4 sides, and dessert. Dinner was cooked perfectly. Had the buy 2 get one free promo, picked bacon/cheese/hamburger with fries. It was delivered in a timely fashion. However, BOTH of buns were BURNT! The meat was ok but you could smell the burnt buns as soon as you opened the containers. Yes, both containers had the burnt buns. If I was eating at the restaurant, we Both would have sent them BACK to correct the burnt issues. They make great steaks and Prime Ribs, but we will NEVER order their hamburgers Ever Again. How can you burn Two hamburger entrees and not notice!? Poor quality control. Beware! Keep away from their burgers! Only wish I had taken a pic. instead of throwing them into the trash to show what we were given. Very Disappointing! read more

Outstanding dinner at Black Angus Steakhouse tonight! The filet mignon topped with blue cheese, paired with perfectly grilled shrimp, was exceptional--tender, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. The likewise grilled artichoke appetizer with its dipping sauces was a great start, and the crème brûlée was perfect to finish. And the Bonanza wine was a pleasant surprise. First, the food was excellent and cooked very well. The pickup service at Montclair was awful. We placed a pickup order at 10:00 am for a 5:00 pm pickup. When we arrived they initially claimed they had not received the order. When we showed a copy of the confirmation, their story change to that "they" had not sent it to the kitchen. That they were sending it then and it would be ready in 25 minutes and THEY WOULD CALL OUR CELL. When we checked, 30 minutes later, it was ready but she'd "been busy" so hadn't called. No apology, no expression of contrition of any kind. their dismissal of the customer was off-putting at best. read more
