Outstanding dinner at Black Angus Steakhouse tonight! The filet mignon topped with blue cheese, paired with perfectly grilled shrimp, was exceptional--tender, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. The likewise grilled artichoke appetizer with its dipping sauces was a great start, and the crème brûlée was perfect to finish. And the Bonanza wine was a pleasant surprise. Was here for Brunch which is served Sat& Sunday only. I had the lobster scramble which is served with a potato pancake and fresh fruit additionally I had the cinnamon role with orange glaze roped off by a pineapple mimosa . The cinnamon role was ok I did not get much of an orange flavor from the I wing and the roles served on a pie plate were difficult to decide as they stuck to the pie tin. . The scramble had a decent amount of lobster and excellent flavor the potato cake was good as well. The mimosa was refreshing . Emma was our server she was helpful and I enjoyed the service she kept up on refilling coffee and struck the right balance making sure we had what we needed with out being intrusive. 5 stars for her. The restaurant was built in the late 1970's and it is showing while it is wheelchair accessible it has numerous levels stairs and ramps. Everything is clean and well maintained. First, the food was excellent and cooked very well. The pickup service at Montclair was awful. We placed a pickup order at 10:00 am for a 5:00 pm pickup. When we arrived they initially claimed they had not received the order. When we showed a copy of the confirmation, their story change to that "they" had not sent it to the kitchen. That they were sending it then and it would be ready in 25 minutes and THEY WOULD CALL OUR CELL. When we checked, 30 minutes later, it was ready but she'd "been busy" so hadn't called. No apology, no expression of contrition of any kind. their dismissal of the customer was off-putting at best. read more

Well, still celebrating my 49th birthday even after a couple days. Today, which is September 1st, I call August 32nd. LOL. My daughter and I landed here with some gift cards from my bestest gal friend ever! This place did not disappoint at all! We had the most excellent service from our waitress Cherise, aka CJ!!! The food was all cooked perfectly and tasted out of this world! Hats off to the cook(s)! To start off, our waitress brought us waters and the awesome bread and butter. On the 2nd round, I got a Mountain Dew and my daughter got Pepsi to drink. Third round, we ordered a Shrimp Cocktail as the appetizer. There was 6 jumbo Shrimp, good shrimp sauce, and a nice lemon to squeeze on them. Our fourth and final round came the entrèes. My daughter got the 12 Oz Top Sirloin steak, with fresh green beans, and Mac n cheese. I ordered the 14 Oz New York steak with broccoli and au gratin potatoes. The rest is history! We ate half of our meats and everything else. So we both have our other half of our steaks to eat either tomorrow or the next day. We were so full, but content. No dessert, but was hard to say no!!! Overall, it was another wonderful experience at my local Black Angus! We appreciated the nice, quiet, and clean atmosphere in this establishment. We will definitely be back again soon.
