Everything tasted fresh and satisfying, and I love that Jessica's has Filipino comfort food that actually feels like a proper meal. Summary: NOT RECOMMENDED. Bad service, below average food. Soft opening though, so let's give them a chance to improve. PARKING: Location is in Kapolei Commons, so lots of parking. However, when the other restaurants, Target, etc are busy, expect to park some distance from where you want to go and walk. SERVICE: The moment we walked in, the staff looked busy and stressed. Understandably so since it's a soft opening. However, not a single greeting from front staff. Not a simple "sorry for the wait, thank you for your patience". Honestly, the wait isn't what bothers me, it's the lack of communication and unapologetic interaction from staff. A LOT of mistakes from the staff. When we finally got a table, we just sat and that's it. No menus, utensils, cups of water, etc. After getting menus, we placed an order. EVERYTHING was basically sold out or "still marinating". SUGGESTION: give the menus once guests sit, and tell them what is not available. FOOD: Very below average yet pricey. The Loco moco was dry and overcooked. The kids chicken tenders/fries were completely missing. I did see one delivered to another table and they were saying it wasn't theirs. Not sure what they did with it, but we had to wait a long time to get our order. Anything we ordered with "overeasy" eggs, came out overcooked and not runny. Maybe they leave the food under heat lamps after cooking? Or chefs just too overwhelmed to keep track. Soda is unlimited refill. But that's practically useless when we ask for refills and nobody ever brings it. Everything mentioned can be improved upon. It's not unfixable. I'm hoping the staff get better after soft opening and the cooks improve. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since it's soft opening. Upon entering Jessica's, it looked new, clean, and spacious. It had nice high ceilings which made for such a welcoming first impression, and I'm so happy to have a new spot here at Kapolei Commons! They have a bar area but it is not yet open. Special shoutout to Jada. She was so helpful with her recommendations and gave some great suggestions on what to try. She stated the adobo fried rice was one of the most popular dishes on the menu. We ordered the loco moco with adobo fried rice and eggs over medium, with a $5 upgrade for the specialty rice. It was SO worth it. The presentation was beautiful, and the flavor was phenomenal. The adobo fried rice had grated carrots, pork, and little bits of longanisa sausage throughout it. It added so much flavor and made the loco moco even more special. This visit was around 8 AM on a Thursday, and it was calm, peaceful, and a really nice way to start the morning. I'm so excited to welcome Jessica's to Kapolei Commons and to finally have another place where I can enjoy Filipino-inspired dishes close by. Jessica's in Kapolei is a newly opened location that took over the old Mad Bene space. The restaurant has a really nice, spacious layout, and despite the size of the restaurant and how busy they were, the service was actually pretty efficient. There were only two people serving when we went, but they were moving! They did a great job keeping up with everything and making sure things were getting taken of. That being said, you could tell they were a little overwhelmed and in a rush at times. When we told our server that one of the drinks we ordered tasted funny, she was quick to offer to replace it, which I appreciated, but she didn't really offer an alternative. It took a second try before we were able to get something different. As for the food, it was okay. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out to me either. Maybe I'm a little biased since I grew up eating Filipino food, but for the price, I just don't think the food was worth it. I ordered Jessica's Bento, and unfortunately, it just didn't hit for me. Personally, I'd rather get a Zip Pac from Zippy's for less money. Would I come back? Yeah, I would. They have a pretty big breakfast menu, and I'd definitely be open to coming back and trying some of their breakfast options. Wife and I came for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Arrived around 8am. Perfect timing cuz it got packed and really busy by 8:30am. It's their soft-opening, so you can expect the typical glitches. This time is the service. While it's friendly and professional, it's painfully slow. Obviously they need several more workers. You can't have ppl waiting at the front door for more than a few minutes without being acknowledged. Their food was good, though they only give one egg with their French toast combo. Started from the walk in, guy host at door told us to sit anywhere, then we walked to the left side of the tables, then he said those are for bigger parties, like huh? Don't say sit anywhere. We were hungry for a late breakfast and decided to try this hidden gem after hearing good things. We went on a Sunday, and there was a ton of parking upstairs of Westridge Shopping Center where Jessica's is located. Many of the choices on the menu were very tempting, but we really came by with the hope of sampling their Prime Rib Loco Moco, which we'd heard about from friends. We ordered that to share, and each had the sweet bread French toast. The Prime Rib Loco Moco was awesome. The meat was perfectly cooked, and the gravy had just the right flavor to put everything together with the egg and fried rice. Amazing spot hidden in the upper level of a plaza, Jessica's was insanely good. We got the big local breakfast with fried rice, a nice "sampler" of stuff that's very filling. Bacon was okay; spam was great, Portuguese sausage was great. We also got the Jessica's Moco, the gravy on it was fire. Great portions overall and would definitely come back! Our first time here and we came for lunch! When we first walked in, we noticed how hottt it was inside. Not sure if their a/c was not working... But we almost walked out. :( Hopefully they can fix that. Thankfully there was an open booth for my family of 4. They sat us and we were able to get water quickly. We looked at the menu and noticed that all of their entrees were mostly $25+. A little on the pricier side if you are looking to spend. But, the portions are pretty big. I understand it's a new restaurant (I've been part of various opening teams for various restaurants) and I understand there will be tension among employees, but my dining experience was dampened by the way how the owner was speaking to her only front of house staff member. I could tell he was getting irritated. But what annoyed me was when Jessica (the owner) told her staff member to be a better busser while passing my table to assist other patrons. Kudos to him for keeping his composure. It wasn't that busy when we went, but it took a while to be asked if we were ready to order. While we were waiting, we ordered an appetizer platter. They were out of garlic chicken so we just doubled up on the lumpia and calamari, NBD, right? It was actually a sign... The other half of our party showed up maybe 10,15 minutes after I placed the order for apps. Our server comes over and asks if we're ready to place our orders. She asks if we wanted any appetizers, I tell her that we placed an order with the other server. Guess that order wasn't actually placed. So we start placing orders... grilled salmon, adobo fried rice with bangus. Server says sorry, there is no bangus, so I said ok, tocino, No tocino, so I said ok, lechon. Ok next order, pork sisig, no sisig, then an order of Jessica's moco, no corn beef. Ordered liver and onions side of mac, No mac salad. I laughed and said to my daughter why did we come here? The server should have communicated the availability before we started ordering food. If I had known that half the stuff we wanted to order was not available, I would have politely left and went back another day. So we put these orders in and honestly, the only dish that was good was the grilled salmon. Lechon wasn't crispy, hamburger on the loco moco was dry, gravy was salty, liver was mediocre. I didn't think what we paid was worth it. As we were waiting for our food, I felt like our server complaining about us because her and two other staff members kept looking our way. I recently went in to dine in with relatives on a Tuesday night. Sat down at the table looked over the menu while we waited patiently for our server. The staff didn't acknowledge us until we finally asked for someone to take our order. Mind you we waited over 10 minutes. Food took a while to come out but the food was good and cooked fresh. I just wish the vinegar sauce was better. It tasted watered down with a hint of sweetness which I dislike. She served water, took the order, brought the food out and rang up tabs. All the while, other workers were sitting behind the bar or standing around the corner peeking around the wall. If it wasn't for the great tasting food and generous portions, we would not return due to the type of service and non-acknowledgment when waiting for a table. The food was so good that we are now at Jessica's again for breakfast on 9/13/26. We waited by the door for about 30 minutes. The parties in front of us left. Finally I asked if we could be seated as were standing too long. They immediately sat us. If you don't speak up, you won't be seated. A family of 6 who had their water and mimosas stood up and walked out. They said that the food would take 1 hour from time of ordering. Again, the food is so good that we are waiting it out. We just had breakfast at Jessica's. First of all, the AC is broken. It's a warm 80+ degrees in there. The staff and customers are sweating bc of the poor AC system. No fans in the facility to accomodate the broke AC. The post below shows the AC has been broken 3 months. The restaurant is hot. The quality of service was good. The staff was friendly and were accommodating. Next off is the food, the food is below average. I give it 2 stars for the food here. Buttermilk pancakes tastes like the pre-packaged and the pancakes size is small. We even ordered the mahi mahi with eggs and the fish was good but it was a single slice and the size of a spam for $25. $20 for French toast but it was ok, something you can make at home. A cute little hole in the wall across Pearlridge shopping center! Me and my husband went around 9am on a Friday so there was no wait at all. Granted, most people are working so I didn't expect it to be too busy. From reading reviews, it seems like it gets pretty hectic on the weekends. As a Filipina, I will always have a weakness for adobo fried rice and longanisa. My husband ordered the corned beef hash and devoured the whole thing so I couldn't take a picture. I have to say that the portion size is MASSIVE! This omelette was about the length of my forearm and I honestly expected probably half the size for the price. There was also a generous amount of pork throughout the rice and it was seasoned well without being overly salty. The longanisa was also juicy and had a nice char. The service was also friendly, quick, and efficient. She gave me a box right before I was about to ask so she anticipated our needs really well. She checked on us often so we were well taken care of. 09-20-26: First time with the family and maybe the last time. I know they're fairly new to this location but they should have a better system in place already when it comes to everything. When we first walked in, we were told the wait is about an hour but we were called in not even 30mins which is good. But once we sat down, I watched this old lady employee, she was seating people right away the moment they walked in, she was clearly not communicating with the other server. I also watched like 2 separate parties walked in and sat themselves and they didn't even say anything while others was waiting outside. I ordered the prime rib loco moco and I thought I was eating a rubber. It was super chewy and I could barely swallow it. Then the server missed one of our orders because she said she forgot to punch it in. Then I noticed this same old lady who was barely doing anything, just walking around and not sure if she knows what she supposed to be doing. Note: this is a review of the all day breakfast. Resort level breakfast. A definite step up from the greasy spoon. The quality matches the higher price. The waffle, in the chicken and waffle, is an actual yeast waffle. Chewy, dense, bready on the inside, extremely crisp on the outside. Plenty moist on its own but has the ability to really suck up the butter and syrup making it that much better. The chicken for the pairing, genius! A skin on thigh with most of the meat removed fried crisp. What remains of the meat turns to jerky but the beautifully seasoned skin, heaven. It mimics crispy bacon. Side note, just hope this is only done for the chicken and waffle. I wouldn't accept this in the fried chicken plate. Fresh corned beef in the corned beef hash in a 60/40 ratio of corned beef to potato. Crisp on the outside, tender and not greasy on the inside. It works as part of the Jessica loco moco (one burger with just the right amount of filler and one corned beef patty w/ two eggs on rice with scratch made rich brown gravy). Very large servings. Props to the single server who was able to keep the entire front of house running smoothly and with a smile. Looking forward to trying some Filipino breakfast offerings on a future visit. While $25-$30 per dish for breakfast isn't "cheap eats", the quality fully justifies it. One of the best breakfast spots on this side of the island. read more

We know Jessica's is fairly new and it was a busy weekend, so we definitely tried to be understanding. However, when we arrived, there was only one couple ahead of us and we stood by the front door for about 15 minutes without being acknowledged. As it got busier, more people started lining up behind us, which made the wait even more uncomfortable. Once we were seated, we waited again while watching people who arrived after us have their orders taken first. It may have been a section/server situation, but from a customer's perspective, it was frustrating. They were also already out of chicken, which I really wanted to try, as well as tossed salad. It seemed like they may not have been fully prepared for the amount of customers their larger location would bring. With all that said, once we finally got our food, it was good and we left satisfied. I also noticed one of the young servers crying while still working. I don't know what happened behind the scenes, so I don't want to assume, but she was doing a great job considering how busy it was. I just hope management takes care of their staff and gives them a moment to regroup when they're overwhelmed. There are definitely some things that need improvement with organization, staffing, and preparation, but the food itself was good. My Yelp Elite friend Iris T. and I planned to meet here today at 11 a.m. for lunch. We both arrived a little early, minute or so of each other and found two stalls fronting the restaurant. Perfect cuz the weather was wet today. Simple and spacious interior. Friendly staff. It was a bit cold inside at the beginning. When we exited, outside was hot and humid. We talked for 4 minutes shy of 4 hours and they didn't chase us out even though we were the last people in there. Just so happened the kitchen closed down at 1 pm since every 6 months they have kitchen cleaning day and today happened to be it. We took the last booth on the right and logistics wise, we could see everyone who went to use the restroom. Only one stall for customers so it was like Grand Central Station passing us. Our young, pretty and slim server, Chloe was sweet. I had met a different friend for coffee yesterday and she told me she heard this place was expensive. Yes, definitely not the pricing of Arby's or Shiro's as comparisons. Our two meals, 2 non-alcoholic beverages plus tip rang up to $75. My oxtail saimin came with grated ginger, good. The tiny pieces of oxtail were pretty much fall off the bone. Unfortunately perhaps they forgot to add seasoning because the soup tasted like warm water. I added shoyu- didn't help. I added drops of Tabasco, still not good. I barely ate half. We both noticed the smell of the mustard cabbage topping the soup when it was first brought out to the table. My friend's beef cutlet one portion was salty but she said the first piece was fine. NOT RECOMMENDED. DISASTER SOFT OPENING. My party of 6 had a reservation for 10am this past weekend. When we got there, line went just outside of the door. No shade or anything, so everyone's standing in the hot sun. Walked inside to the front and told them about our reservation. Lady told us, "you have to wait in line". Reiterated we had reservation, and she was firm and told us go back in line. When another staff member showed up to take next people, I tried with her. Told her my reservation time for party of 6. She then told us sit at the booth (fits ~10 people). Strange, she didn't even get my name or anything. I'm sure they're not even looking at reservation bookings. Once we sat, we noticed all tables were full, maybe about 15 tables? Only 2 of them had food, the rest were waiting with an angry look on their faces. 15 minutes go by and nobody has even approached our table, no greeting, waters, nothing. I eventually stand up and start flagging down staff and finally got someone. She give us menus and walks away. We're ready to order but no waitress coming by. 15 minutes later, I have to manually flag someone down again. We place our orders, and she starts telling us "sorry, we sold out of that", or "the bangus hasn't marinated long enough yet to serve". As we start looking at the menu again rethinking what we now want, she walks away. I understand being busy, but staff needs training. Once a table sits, give them the menu right away, greet them, smile, and say, "unfortunately we're out of these items and can't sell these". That would save everyone so much time. We order. Over 30 minutes goes by patiently waiting for our food. Other tables in the restaurant have guests being fed up and leaving. I see the waitresses coming out with food and going to each table asking, "did you order the fried rice?". It's like they have no idea who ordered what. We finally get our food at around 11:45am. (1 hour 45 minutes after our reservation time). No utensils. No cups of water. I've flagged down the staff so many times requesting these things, yet nobody brings it. FRUSTRATING. We eventually get it though. When I got my corn beef hash loco moco, I bite into it a few times. Realized, "this is a regular loco moco". I flag the waitress down and tell her. She apologizes and says, "I can put your order in again, but it'll be at the back of the line, or you can just eat what you have". HOW FRUSTRATING IS THAT. You mess up my order, you fix it immediately, not put me in the back of the line. Food was mediocre. Other filipino restaurants in the area are much better. Kids chicken strips: SUPER DRY and overcooked. Fries, seems like absolutely no salt at all. Pancakes: Dry and lacking flavor. They also didn't give us any syrup. Which we had to request after desperately flagging down staff. Fried Rice: Very salty. And I love salt. If I say something's salty, IT IS SALTY AS HELL. Eggs: ordered over easy, that yolk was overcooked and not runny whatsoever. There were so many issues/mistakes with our food, that I'm suspecting the staff just mixed up food between all the tables. Soft openings are expected to be slow. BUT I expect the staff to be kind and apologetic for mistakes. Not taking it out on the customers. Simple things like greeting with a smile, giving menus ahead of time, etc etc. NEVER COMING BACK HERE AGAIN. Even if they improve the staff/service, the food isn't worth it. read more

How have I never been here before? Decent location with plenty of parking. Upon walking inside it's clean with plenty of seating. We were greeted and sat right away! We got water and coffee which our waitress continuously topped off. I ordered the Jessica Moco (recommended) but because I'm gluten free the burger patty uses breadcrumbs so I got all corned beef instead (made in house)! I'm not usually a fan of corned beef, but this one was really good. Some loco moco's have too much gravy and are overly salted but this one was perfect. Huge portions and everything tasted fresh and perfectly seasoned. My mom had an omelette which was also huge and she enjoyed it. It was loaded with veggies and cheese, and a big side of hashbrowns! Unfortunately, our experience at Jessica's in Kapolei was very disappointing. The customer service was poor, and we experienced an extremely long wait. Our drinks ran completely dry, and no one came by to check on us or offer a refill. To make matters worse, we did not receive our food at all during our dine-in experience. Instead, the food was placed into to-go containers rather than being properly plated for the table. There was also no one checking in with us or communicating about the delay. We understand that Jessica's is a new restaurant and that things can get busy, but basic communication and customer service are important. Unfortunately, this experience left a very poor first impression. Hopefully, management takes this feedback seriously and works on improving the service and overall dining experience. read more

Jessica's was very busy because it was after the tropical storm Lala, so it was understandable. The yuan omelette was large enough to share and we asked for the Hollandaise on the side. It was very good. We would definitely recommend this place to others. read more

This place is located in the upper level of a strip mall. We went for brunch at 12pm on a Saturday and there was ample parking upstairs. When we first walked in we were greeted immediately seated. The place is extremely clean and well maintained. I noticed that they are quick to clean but also thorough to wipe down the table, condiments basket, seats and even the floor directly below the table. The menu is easy to read and with just enough options which leads me to believe that their food will be excellent. They came by quick to take our order and the food took a little time to arrive but it was well worth the wait and the quality of there! The chicken and waffles were made to perfection. The waffles are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside and the two pieces of chicken thighs were fried to a crisp. I ordered a side of gravy which had a light consistency but delicious! Jessica's Loco Moco was really filling. They served at least 3 scoops of rice and the burger patty was a little tough, the hash was delicious, the eggs were over easy and topped with just the right amount of gravy. We asked for the Adobo fried rice but received steamed rice. Yuan's omelette was good with crispy bacon and although good overall, it was the hollandaise sauce that enhanced it overall. The hash browns were not seasoned but still tasted good mixed in with the hollandaise sauce. The Macadamia Nut pancakes were decent. The pancakes were extra fluffy but tasted a bit too floury however the Haupia sauce and macadamia nuts made it taste better. Overall, I would like to return and try some of their other dishes.
