Heard many good things of this place and should have eaten the fan favorite! The king Kalbi but wanted some vegetables with my food so I ordered the bulgogi special (with vegetables). I liked it because it was almost like chop chae with the long rice and vegetables but somehow I didn't care for the flavor of the bulgogi . I phone ordered my food and food was ready when I got there. They are generous with portions here, and there is tables for you to dine in too! Next time I'll try the king kal bi!

Update on Sadie's BBQ located in Pearl City . This time I ordered their meat jun it was very tasty a nice firm egg batter on the Teri beef . Love their Bachan nice variety of little of everything. Service is alway on point refilling water and asking if anything we need . Prices have gone up a little which is understandable. Support local

5 pc mandoo, banchan plate, side order chicken katsu, side order fish jun, and japchae
Jocelyn O.

I ordered a side of chicken katsu and a side of fish jun which both came with a lot more pieces than I was expecting. I ordered some mandoo for my husband because they're his favorite and my faves which are the banchan plate and japchae. The servers are always so friendly and my food was ready within 20-25 minutes after calling to place the order.

We had a late lunch after 2 pm straight from the airport. It was so nice since the lunch crowd was gone and only two other tables were still occupied. There were two male employees working, a young man and a middle aged man. Both so friendly and polite giving great service. Coming at just the right time, not intrusive. Gave the restaurant a different vibe. Could also see a young girl but she stayed where the phone orders came out for packaging for pick up. We are creatures of habit. I ordered my usual ginseng chicken soup. Hubs ordered his favorite Saba. The ban Chan were all tasty hubs asked for more cabbage kim chee. I ordered kalbi tang to go for dinner. Their portions are generous and we both had left overs. Woo hoo! Even the young guy said Auntie you don't have to cook and told us see you next time and have a good life. The older gentleman also bid us goodbye. They make a great team taking turns answering the phone, working together, enjoying the comraderie.

First time dining here. My friend is vegan and ordered the bibim bap (vegan) and kimchi pancake. I ordered the Combo B with BBQ beef, Spicy Pork, Meat Jun, and Mandoo. My combo plate was very good. I especially liked the spicy pork and the mandoo. My friend really enjoyed her bibim bap. The ban chan was very fresh and tasty. The kimchi pancake was ok, didn't have much flavor. Our server was very good and attentive. The restaurant itself was very cozy. Overall we had a great dining experience and will come back again.

Regular Bento (sometimes it comes w/chow fun instead)
Deez J.

I've noticed you might not get the same noodles each time. First there was the regular fried noodles then chow fun and today chap Jae. They all match well with the bento though. Price recently went up a dollar to $13.95 - like with everything else these days.

We wanted to avoid the hassle and chaos of the Koreamoku area and decided to check out Sadie's BBQ. Parking is easy, which already takes some stress off before you even walk in. There's a small footing change near the entrance of the restaurant, something most people won't notice, but if you have mobility challenges it's worth being aware of. Inside, the layout feels comfortable and welcoming, with booths spaced nicely so you're not crowded. It was busy this Saturday evening, but the vibe stayed pleasant and the service never lagged. The ladies working were genuinely kind, attentive, and impressively fast. They checked in at the right times and kept everything moving smoothly. The food was fresh and tasty. Not the absolute best Korean BBQ I've ever had, but definitely enjoyable, and I'd return. We ordered the kalbi, meat jhun and BBQ chicken combo, the meat jhun could've used a bit more flavor, but the sauce tied it together. The garlic chicken was sweet, crispy, and flavorful without being overly hard. The bibimbap was fresh, simple, and comforting. The kim chee pancake felt pricey at first, but once it arrived, its huge size made the price understandable. It was on the drier, more crumbly side, maybe just their style, but still good. Banchan was tasty and enough we still had some for leftover. Portion sizes in general were generous; all of us ended up eating only about half our food. Overall, easy parking, great service, and solid food make Sadie's BBQ a place I'd happily come back to and maybe even try one of their daily specials. The friendliness, efficiency, and relaxed layout made the experience smooth and enjoyable.

A lot of people rave about this place but to my family and I, it was meh. The service was awesome but idk, the food? We had better. We ordered the Kalbi tang, Sadie's special, and the soft tofu soup. My favorite was the banchan. My son said the tofu soup was good. The Sadie's special is what got us...the meat was tough. Idk. We wanted to love it but Kim Chee 7 still wins our tummies.

Sadie's BBQ is one of those hidden gems that makes you feel right at home the second you walk in. The staff are super friendly, the food comes out fast, and everything tastes like it's made with love. I got the BBQ mixed plate, and wow -- everything on it was on point. The meat was tender and flavorful, especially the kalbi and chicken. The portions are huge (definitely come hungry), and the sides totally complete the meal -- rice perfectly cooked and that classic mac salad creamy and ono. The place has that old-school, local plate lunch vibe -- nothing fancy, just great food and good people. Prices are reasonable for how much food you get, and it's the kind of spot that keeps you coming back whenever you're in the area. If you're craving solid local BBQ with no fuss and plenty of flavor, Sadie's is the spot. Lots of parking in the Pearl City shopping center parking lot!

Got the jajangmyeon. It was loaded with vegetables and bits of beef. Got my jajangmyeon fix without having to drive into town. Unfortunately, no pickled daikon or sweet sour pork on the menu as add ons.

We brought the family down to Sadie's and had great food and service We got the following items Meat chun, spicy butterfish, and king kalbi, and steamed egg

Banchan so good
Janice L.

Craving for some naengmyeon (Korean cold noodles) and Sadie's got some good reviews but was we entered we saw the Daily Specials and it had my all time Fave Kalbi Tang so I had to order it. It's the big bone Kalbi with onions, daikon and green onion which the broth was so favorable. It came with side rice. The mister had the meat Jun and it was a lot, 3 slabs! It was pretty good. The service was top notch, so friendly and always checking on us. We asked for refill in the banchan and barley tea too. We're so full cause was soo good! We'll be back for my naengmyeon :) The atmosphere is relaxing and so clean too. Bathroom is clean! Mahalo Sadie's BBQ Inn.

Located in Pearl City Shopping Center (with Leeward Bowl / Ben Franklin/ Daiso) good air filtration. Not smoky and does not linger with the BBQ smell. We ordered King Kalbi- it was very soft and tasty Meat Jun as well flavorful with good sauce Spicy Squid- soft, not too hot and lots of vegetables Good amount of banchan that is also refillable Glad we came to the restaurant . Service is quick and friendly. They stopped by our table several times to see how food was and refilled water. They offered boxes and new sauce filled containers. Total of seven groups that fit four people each . Several tables in the middle that fit two and 4 people Will definitely come back.

Ordered by phone the day prior, and just gave them my phone number as usual (it's how they identify you when you pick up, with no worries about duplicate or misspelled names.). Every time I've ordered in advance, our order has always been packed neatly and ready in a box for takeout. (My brother had brought a box just in case, and smoothly offered it to their staff for someone else's future order.) The restaurant has several tables for dining in, and markings on the floor for those waiting in line. It's brightly lit and clean as well. I appreciate their staff, food, service, and generous servings. They make us look so good with our potluck contributions! So what did we order? Half chicken katsu, half chicken wings, a small platter ($45 for the small pan, but picture a much loaded tray) - it's a great value deal! It was the same order our cousins loved when we brought it on Christmas Day (they especially love the wings, but we love the katsu-so this year we asked for half-half instead of all katsu, and they were so happy, ha ha!) Oh, and they give you a nice big container of yummy katsu sauce;)! I like their panko and cooking method, as whatever they do, the chicken is nice and crisp, and tasty - with, or without the sauce, actually. First time that I actually tried the wings, as I'm not a wing person. (I didn't even try it at Christmas, lol.). But, it was nice and crisp, lightly seasoned, and the wings had lots of meat on them. Easy finger food, and they were not dripping in oil, either, which I appreciated! Also ordered (for the first time) a small platter of chicken chow mein (a little over $30?). It was based on a good recommendation by an admittedly biased family member of the owners, and we were pleasantly surprised! The small pan was covered in wrap and then foil, because the mound of noodles was seriously kinda big! My brother was like, quick, go tell mom to come look before we open it (as she's picky, so it's hard to impress her). It was filled with lots of veggies (sliced carrots, cabbage, onions, etc) and bbq chicken pieces, tossed with great flavor (I want to say it was a nice sauce, but this wasn't a wet noodle dish.). My dad added Chinese mustard soy sauce, but my mom and I thought it was perfect the way it was. Oh, don't laugh, we're only a family of four, so yes, we ate two meals - lunch and dinner - and still packed a ton of leftovers! As we watched the game, we commented to each other what great choices we had made. (We also had sushi trays and other treats, and of course, chips, and my brother's dip. My brother said we may not have had a favorite team to cheer on today, but it was a great excuse for a party, ha ha!) I know we're doing a repeat for our next occasion, for sure! We'll gradually try some of their other foods, and it's farther away than we'd like to drive (I know, it's not that far, but we live on the other side, ok?). My brother agrees it's worth the drive - it's across Aloha Stadium and literally in the same spot as Ice Palace; and we saw quite the line at the Taco Bell drive through when we were looking for parking;). He also compared it to the cost and serving size of what we ordered on New Year's, from a restaurant much closer to where we live. Hands down, it was not even a close comparison, his emphasis added. So go here, it's perfect for family dinners and potlucks and I hope you agree with my assessment;)! Oops, I didn't take any pictures, aiya!!!
