Heard many good things of this place and should have eaten the fan favorite! The king Kalbi but wanted some vegetables with my food so I ordered the bulgogi special (with vegetables). I liked it because it was almost like chop chae with the long rice and vegetables but somehow I didn't care for the flavor of the bulgogi . A little disappointed with all of the highly rated reviews.. perhaps expectations too high? The service must say is excellent. They come and refill your tea/water quickly and bring your food on a timely basis. The kalbi doesn't disappoint, very tender and favorful. Soft tofu soup, looked like was made from instant soup base (almost the same flavors/taste as the one from Gen), add some seafood, and gigantic chucks of tofu, and add an egg. We had a late lunch after 2 pm straight from the airport. It was so nice since the lunch crowd was gone and only two other tables were still occupied. There were two male employees working, a young man and a middle aged man. Both so friendly and polite giving great service. Coming at just the right time, not intrusive. Gave the restaurant a different vibe. Could also see a young girl but she stayed where the phone orders came out for packaging for pick up. We are creatures of habit. I ordered my usual ginseng chicken soup. Hubs ordered his favorite Saba. The ban Chan were all tasty hubs asked for more cabbage kim chee. I ordered kalbi tang to go for dinner. Kimchee soup Came in a stone pot which kept the soup boiling hot till the last drop. Taste was perfectly balanced with sweet and sour kimchee. Meatjun Tender meat, marinated perfectly with fresh coated eggs, hot off the grill~ yum! I love it here. I normally come in the morning to do Okazuya but my Husband and I were in the area and decided to try their dinner menu. I love that they offer the metal bowl or stone pot for their Bibimbap, a lot of places don't have that option. I normally gravitate towards the Naeng Myon with Kalbi or Sadie's special when I'm more hungry and they leave To-Go boxes out so you can always pack up the rest. Service has always been extremely friendly and efficient even when they're a little short-handed. It is pretty spacious inside, it was actually a lot bigger than it looks for the outside. If they can't automatically seat you, just write your name down at the front door and wait outside. I liked this place in the past but multiple fails this time, so we won't be coming back. I asked for soon dubu which they said was their soft tofu soup. When it came, it was more like tofu soup. It also only came in mild and spicy--no medium. Big pieces of meat instead of ground meat, one medium block of tofu, and it was quite liquid. My mom ordered the BBQ chicken, which took a really long time. I was over halfway done eating my soup and had to ask them to follow up on it. When it came it was light and hardly had any flavor. I also had to ask them both for a spoon for my soup and also for a knife for my mom to cut the chicken. Horrible service. We used to come here a lot but haven't been back for awhile. We had a party of 7 come in at 530 and they were able to seat us fairly quickly. We received 3 plates of banchan for the table so we were all sharing, it would've been nice if we all received our own or if there had been at least 4 plates of the banchan to share instead considering we had 7 people eating. The ceiling fans work very well lol so the temperature inside the restaurant was very cool. We all decided to order a bunch of different foods. Kalbi Tang, Black bean noodles, japchae, fried mackerel, ginseng chicken soup, barbecue chicken, and fried corvina fish. Everything was really great! Total for everything came out to about $150 which is very fair for the amount of dishes we bought. When ordering the ginseng chicken soup though, I did not receive rice with the dish. There is rice in the chicken but from some other reviews for this dish seems like customers are supposed to have rice given but do not receive it when ordering. Will be back again! read more

I think it's time to update my review since I've last visited Sadie's Inn. Prior to my low star review that dates six years ago we did take out once during 2020 I don't remember much of it but my husband & I decided to dine inn and give Sadie's Inn another shot as I was craving Kalbi. We were seating quickly with no wait the two ladies working that night were very efficient & sweet. The food came out a lot sooner than I had anticipated which was an added plus. The king Kabli was delicious & cooked perfectly, when food comes out on these sizzling platters with onions my favorite part is the almost caramelized onions that soak up all the flavors of the meat. When you order the king kalbi it comes with a plate of Banchan. I did a side order of their mac salad to try out, which I will pass on next time. Over all I'd say giving them a second chance wasn't a bad idea at all. I do plan on taking my sister here who wants to try some Jajangmyeon when she's on island. read more

Friendly counter help. When I went there (near 1 pm so after the lunch rush if there was one) and she said there was no bento but she could make one. And in just a few minute it was completed. For $13, I think, I got a lot of food. There was rice and noodles, mandoo, a half of a hot dog, a slice of spam, what tasted like home made takuwan, three pieces of chicken and a couple of slices of Teri meat. More than I could finish in one sitting. All the food tasted as it should have- the spam was cooked in a teriyaki sauce, I think I had two types of chicken (bbq and a Teri one) and the home made take an was very vinegary. This place has one of the tastiest kal-bi and meat juhn on the island (amongst other dishes- their bi bim bap, vegetable pancake, fish juhn, spicy pork, Kim chi soup, mackerel, and tteokboki are also our favorites). It is family owned, and the staff is always friendly and courteous. The restaurant is very popular, so get there early to avoid a long wait on the weekends, especially if you want to dine with a group of friends and/or family. Over the past year, I've noticed that their prices and banchan/entree serving portions are not as generous, hence the 4 star (more like 3+) rating. And when you ask for more, unlike other restaurants, they will not honor your request without charging you additional. Recently, our party of 5 received one rectangular tray of banchan separated in mini compartments (5). Okazuya is served during the daytime (6 am- 1 pm) in front of the restaurant. Get there early.
