First time here and everything we had was fantastic. We already have plans to go back. Friendly staff, great views, and ono food.

This gem of a place is located mauka of Pearlridge Center up Kaonohi past the townhouses. Don't drive too fast or you could miss it, but there's a sign on right side saying Pearl Country Club to turn into their private driveway. Free parking is plentiful and you can either enter from porte cochere or by the white vinyl fencing which is the way we enter- there's ADA parking stalls and then we walk along the pathway next to building til you get to their lanai. The view is spectacular of Pearl Harbor and greens. We love sitting on the lanai and its seat-yourself so a server will come out to give menus. The place has been bought so a complete renovation with lovely new chairs, tables, couches, even a fire pit! Inside there are TVs abound and a nice full bar with 10 seats and TV. The breakfast menu is pretty darn good and hats off to their chef! It's healthy, delicious, nice portions! We love the $17 fish breakfast with a nice piece of salmon, rice, two eggs and fruit garnish. Perfectly prepared each time! My daughter and I also enjoy the omelette which has choices of meats, veggies so we always get the vegetarian one and boy is it fat and ono! Comes with rice, potatoes or toast. What's also special is their complimentary cornbread per guest - each of us receive our own plate of two squares with butter and jelly. Service is always excellent! You'll be lucky to have either Annie, Nette or Jazlyn - Annie and Nette been there for a long time and made the switch to those newfangled-techie-handheld computers - they take our order with such grace that I'm proud of them lol Jazlyn is very sweet too and takes care of us old folks like we were her own parents. Our 2-year old granddaughter enjoys eating there too and looks forward to seeing Annie, Nette and now Jazlyn! They bring two new crayons and a cute picture of dinosaurs golfing to keep her occupied while us grownups chat. Usually not very busy if you go before the first round of golfers pau. Bathrooms are right around the corner - no stairs to access. Their pro shop is upstairs if you care to check it out. The only thing I wish they had is papaya. They do have a nice little fruit cup for $5 chock full of strawberries, cantaloupe, honeydew melon, and grapes. They are having an Easter Brunch on April 20 with an extensive buffet (posted pic of menu) for $75 adults, $45 for ages 4-12 and free for kids 3 and under. The waitress who took our order was exceptionally helpful, patiently explaining the menu options and making thoughtful recommendations. While our young children enjoyed listening to music. Both boys happily ate chips at the table. As I observed, other tables had their meals served promptly, but after more than an hour, our food still hadn't arrived, and the boys began to complain loudly, asking, "Where is our food?" We requested an update from a different waitress, but she didn't bother to informed us that our original waitress, who had been attending the bar, was still unavailable. Frustrated by the slow service and lack of communication, we decided to leave the restaurant. Sadly, this experience left us as unhappy customers. read more

I can't believe I've never eaten here before. Great place to go for local foods! We actually tried to golf at Pearl Country Club before they renovated and decided to check this place out. Parking is right out front. Very easy! Restaurant located on the lower level. Go down the stairs once you get into the building. Walk in and there's normally a lot of seats available. Tripe stew was a weekend special and it was so good! Wasn't too thick or too watery. Actually perfect. Yum! Service is always great here! Perfect place to unwind after golf. Took half a day from work and decided to check out this place I saw on cheap eats . Pearl Country Club restaurant just head up Kaonohi heading Mauka and you can't miss it it's on the right side . Had lunch there with my sister and brother-in-law. I had their Chicken Katsu it was ok average it came with 1 scoop rice and Mac salad. My sister had their Fish and Chips she said it was also alright it would have been better if it came with vinegar for dipping. We also had a side of their Shoyu Pork on bau bun. Nice atmosphere looking over their golf course service a little slow because lots of golfer eat there after they finish playing golf. Have you seen their Ohana At Home add in the MidWeek? I thought it was a good deal and hoped I'd order one day. Boy, what a MISTAKE! I called Sunday night to inquire about the Ohana meal since I couldn't find it in this week's paper. The guy was nice and explained all the options. I said I'd call back the next day once I checked with the family in what they preferred. I called the next day but got an answering machine, so I left my order and asked for a call back confirmation. No calls, so I called again and left my order again, saying I'd like to pick up at 4pm. Strange, no calls but sometimes restaurants will expect you to pick up at the designated time. I went down to find no one picked up the recording, so no order. I was told on tournament days, the restaurant is closed. When asked how will I know when tournament days are, he just raised his shoulders and said, "I don't know?" I asked if anything can be done because I'm flexible. The response was: "The kitchen is closed for the tournament." So, I'm supposed to be a mind reader to know when tournament days are. Plus, the guy who answered the day before knew I'd call but said nothing about the kitchen closing for the tournament. A simple change would have made this all work: Put a message on the recorder to say no orders are being received due to a tournament. Simple!! The manager's name I was given was "Guy." With atrocious business practices like this, I'm sure Guy would not give a rip, so I'm posting this review on Yelp. If I could, I would give them a NEGATIVE score! Tagging along with my brother in law and my wife got to eat at the Pearl Country Restaurant. Nice clean and spacious this resturant had a nice ambiance to it. Our server was pleasent and attentive. Wished I could raved about the food. I ordered the Okinawan style OxTail soup. It had a decent portion of ox tail and veggies, it's the soup that I didn't care for. The taste was way different than restaurants like Utage. We shared the pork bao which also disappointed me. The bun as well as the pork was bland. The chicken katsu and the fish and chips which was ordered was average. Note: This restaurant is not handicap friendly. Being a two story building, elevators are not required. From the lobby you have to descend one flight of stairs. After lunch I decided to see if there was another way to get to parking lot. Found an unmarked pathway to a driveway which led to the parking lot. No stairs to climb. Be safe. read more

There is not a lot of breakfast places in the PC area that open at 6am in the morning, Pearl County Club Restaurants is one of the few. We wanted to get a early start as usual and if you're an early bird person and don't mind mingling with the golfers telling stories, this is a good place to eat. I found the simple breakfast menu perfect for a golf course restaurant and the prices were on PAR with the portions. On this visit I decided to try the Lup Cheong fried rice as I normally try a new brekkie place by their Fried rice. The sweetness of Lup Cheong and the moist fried rice was one of the best I've had in a long time. It also helped with some Yoke Porn oozing down the sides of the mound of goodness. The dish came with two pieces of Portuguese Sausage and takuwan ($8.95), it was excellent. The restaurant is located on the first level of the building and the view of the 18th hole and putting green is relaxing. There is indoor and outdoor seating for big groups. Local style service, friendly and unrushed. I would definitely come back here to eat, lots of local food choices. The mornings get pretty quiet and empties quickly once the golf groups leave with their BS'ing to hack up the golf course. read more

We got the privilege of joining my grand nephew with his baby mommy to be baby shower. The food served was absolutely delicious, the service staff was excellent, and the setup was comfortable with room to move around. My brother and I saw this place in cheap eats segment with Guy Hagi and Steve Uyehara. They tried their smash burger and their oxtail soup. So we decided to go after my uncle's funeral service. Well number 1 they lost a star because their restaurant located on the ground floor from their parking lot and no elevator just stairs. Well imagine the people that are on wheelchairs how are they going down there. The food was ok. I had the fish and chips my brother had chicken katsu and my husband had their oxtail soup my fish and chips was good came out hot even the fries. My brother said the chicken katsu was ok but he had better. My husband oxtail soup the broth he said tasted like to much cilantro taste. Well at least we tried this place but maybe won't be back soon. The server was very friendly and took our order by memory and not using a note pad. Support local and still mask up. Who knew a Country Club Restaurant would be open to the public? Well now, you can consider yourself Country Club material. :) Pearl Country Club has been, to me, the place of many weddings, graduations, conferences, company Christmas parties, and so on. But now, you don't have to wait for a special occasion to come and dine here. Located on the ground floor (below the banquet room). Parking definitely won't be a problem here as they have their own parking. And if you have elderly or physically challenged, there's a Porte Corche so you can drop them off at the front of the building before parking. Food/Price: Comparable to other local establishments in the area like Zippys and The Alley. You won't get a "buffet", but you will get a meal worth the price with a nice view of the green. Ambience: Did I say a nice view of the green? They have tables indoors and outdoors. For breakfast, our friends sat outside (it was beautiful). For dinner, we sat inside but it had A/C and a few tv's. Can't really see the green in the evening. Service: The only reason at this point why it's not a 5 star is that the waitresses weren't friendly but they weren't rude either. The food took a little longer to come out but when you're with good company, it's hardly noticeable. What I like is that all our food came out together. I came for a brunch meeting. It wasn't busy so the restaurant was easily able to accommodate our party of 10. They were able to give everyone separate checks even though it is advertised on their menu that large parties will be on one check. They serve breakfast until 10:30am. They will not offer the lunch menu until 10:30am. The breakfast selection did not offer any healthier options but if you ask the waiter, they do offer cut up mixed fruits that is not on the menu. I ordered the fried rice bowl and it came with 2 Portuguese sausage and an egg for $8.95. The serving size was reasonable for the price I paid. Bathrooms are located outside of the restaurant. The view of the golf course is beautiful. There are tons of parking. I would recommend this restaurant if you had to host a meeting or meet with a friend. read more

Mother's Day Brunch..spectacular..they served a whole roast pig!..large delicious buffet)....so as we enter, we need to take the stairs Down to the 1st floor.... on this Friday..at 10:00 am ....Tier 3....the restaurant was not too busy...we were seated quickly n checked out the menu...breakfast had quite a few delicious choices....we ordered and were given our coffee and just enjoyed the view and spaciousness of the restaurant....less than 20 minutes our breakfasts were served by Annie who was such a cheerful and fun server.....the food was good...we specifically made requests and the cook was on point....bacon crispy! I went here for brunch with mother in law, hubby and daughter around 10:30 am. I was hungry but had snacked on something prior. The restaurant is on the first floor. You can walk across from the parking lot. Before entering the parking lot, there's an attendant at the entrance. You need to tell him you are either dining at the restaurant or playing golf. Restaurant is situated right across the golf course. We had to enter with masks on and the guy took our temperature. Seems to be the thing now at restaurants. I don't mind because I don't have a fever! Feeling great! My trend is to eat healthy lately at least trying to. To drink, I had an iced tea. For my entree I had the tofu and salmon salad. This was delicious. There was a subtle dressing on the salad which I liked. It gave it enough flavor and wasn't strong. I managed to finish my salad. Service was excellent by the employees here! Actually can't believe I haven't posted a review of this place yet. For the past couple years we have met there to catch up with others that retired as it's kinda central to the island. Plus it was good food. A easy 4 stars. I know when we first went a few years ago, their PCC omelet was 4 items. Then a couple years ago it was cut down to 2. But today was the topper for me. It was the perfect setting since my dad had golfed there for many years. They were sooo accommodating and pleasant to work with. The food was well presented and plentiful! My favorites were the steamed fish in shoyu-ginger sauce and the fried noodles! There is a lot of parking and a nice drop off area for the elderly. A pleasant surprise for me ... 2018 Mothers Day Brunch was, in my opinion, beautifully done. We're used to doing the big, and expensive, brunches at Halekulani, Chef Chai's, Prince Hotel etc., However, we found this Mothers Day Brunch to be very pleasant and, more so, PERSONABLE. From name cards on the tables to raffles (dozen roses). An MC who would thank everyone for coming every few minutes to a well maintained buffet line. The staff... very nice and accommodating. Very attentive to filling water glasses to taking family pictures to capture the special moment. Buffet highlights... aka, my favorites: RAW OYSTERS, Poke, Prime Rib, Crab legs, Omelet station, Roast Pig (the whole pig was there), Waffles, and the whole dessert bar. When I want a good corned beef hash and eggs breakfast, I head to Pearl Country Club with one my buddies. There is a lot of parking at PCC and the restaurant (on the ground floor) is very laid back with an amazing view overlooking Pearlridge and Pearl Harbor. Sit at one of the tables outside on the walkway and hope that you get Annie as your server (she's the best). Start with coffee or orange juice and order the corned beef hash, eggs and hash browns, and kick back and talk story while the cooks make your breakfast. Oh, make sure to ask if the corned beef hash is homemade or canned. If server says canned, go with the Japanese Breakfast instead. We usually overstay our welcome, but the servers have never chased us away. Breakfast usually lasts about 2-3 hours, enjoying good food, good service and good company. If you're going to stay for a leisurely breakfast, please add a little more tip because even when your dishes are cleared the servers will continue to refill your coffee and water. Once in awhile a tour bus will pull up in the parking lot and a bus load of Japanese tourists will fill up several tables and order the Loco Moco. But most times it's pretty quiet and relaxing (not crowded). There are big screen TVs inside the restaurant so you can watch the UH football games, MLB or Little League World Series while eating your breakfast. read more

Pearl Country Club is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and this gorgeous country club is far from being over the hill. Even as a regular to the downstairs restaurant, I was instantly wow-ed at the spread for Mother's Day. Incredible and fitting to celebrate the wonder women who gave us life. The Mother's Day buffet is top notch. You simply won't find gourmet options like these on the West Side, even in Waikiki where buffets are king. This year, guests arrived in style and were first ushered to the photo booth to snap the moment with their loved ones. A great keepsake for a fun day. Now onto the fooooood. There was an omelette station, freshly made kalua pig, and a waffle bar. No matter your preference, there's plenty of food to enjoy. Let's not forget the picture perfect view in case the photo booth wasn't already a great way to memorialize Mother's Day 2017. I frequent the Pearl Country Club Restaurant often because I golf and the pupus are pretty good. We usually order the chicken wings, the short ribs and the nachos. But for some reason every time I take my wife there for breakfast something is not right. We go out often for breakfast and I thought that we should try Pearl Country Club again just to see if they've improved their menu items. We got there just before 11:00 and my wife wanted breakfast so the cooks in the back told our server that if my wife ordered right away they would accommodate her order, which I thought was really nice of them. So she orders the corned beef hash with scrambled eggs and I order the shoyu ramen. When our order was served my ramen broth was tepid, the noodles were hotter than the broth. So they take my ramen and microwave it, but the problem is that the broth is now hot but the noodles are overcooked. I guess I just can't win so I ate most of it. My wife's breakfast had scrambled eggs that seemed old, it was not hot and the eggs were discolored and hard on the surface like it had been sitting on the side for a while. The corned beef hash on the other hand was super meaty and had a nice crispy crust to it. I think the ratio of potato to corned beef was 1 to 1. After we paid our bill my wife brought up our issues to our server and she apologized and said that she wished that we told her earlier. To make up for it she let us order anything on the menu to take out which was really nice of her. We took home some of the spicy chicken wings that I like. I do like coming here and will continue coming because of the pupus. I will update my review later. read more

We got hungry, looked up the closest place to have breakfast, and ended up here. Having coffee with a view was nice. The place is very homey, and the service was great. I had the kimchee fried rice, which had a lot of what my husband calls "pegao ". I like pegao so the fried rice was yummy. My child had pancakes, which I thought was okay. This is the first time that I've been there since the new ownership. As we entered the restaurant, there was a sign "wait to be seated". Well, we waited, no one was greeting us, a customer stood up and advised us that he would call someone to seat us. He was be a regular!! We were there at 10:15am and they only served breakfast, lunch would be served at 11:00am. The breakfast selection was good, I would prefer potatoes over tater tots. The overall menu looked good but we would have to go back and try the lunch entrees. I would definitely go back to the restaurant since the dining experience was good, the guard at the entrance is always friendly towards the guest. Oxtail soup was very delicious and well-made. The Okinawan shoyu pork bowl was real disappointing. The meat was tender, but the sauce killed it. It was salty (needs more sugar) and thick and was poured over it. The sauce is supposed to be shoyu watery and marinated with the meat, and not thickened with flour. Need to check out Ige's, who popularized it. The after-taste was so awful that I could not finish it. It's like they got the recipe from the mainland and is same as when Waikiki and mainland-chain restaurants make teriyaki steak or chicken. They also give a paltry scoop of mac salad. It's so cheap to make, give more. My previous visit was more generous. Service wasn't attentive and only saw us at order and to give us the bill. And we did indeed return again this year - as amazing as last year. To me, the stars of the buffet were the prime rib, LECHON, and crab legs. My wife loved the crab legs and desserts. Nice lucky number giveaways and photo booth as well. read more
