I really can't believe that a "family restaurant" as they claim to be, such as this one, has chosen to continue to employ Jennifer matuszczak as a manager. She's a narcissistic liar, who's ruined my life, cheated on me several times over the last 20 years and just recently with one of her coworkers as well. Tells me the following day she no longer has any interest in me and that I need to leave. All the while she lies to everyone who will listen to her, and even fools them into feeling sorry for her. When in fact, the only person anyone should pity other than me, would be her stepmother as her father did the exact same thing to her that Jennifer did to me over and over again. Jennifer claims that I wouldn't work or sup her? She set the stage for all of that with her voting and political practices as not just me but millions of white American males were forced from our jobs after the 2018 election by people who were never even supposed to be here, and find work from then to now, has been pretty scarce for many of us. This woman would absolutely be in jail for what she's done to me if this was California or any other state with laws against gasllighting, manipulation, and using people as she does and I hope one day everyone she's lied to gets to see her for what she truly is, and I hope I get a bunch of apologies about it. She's lied to my son, and everyone else dumb enough to believe her. Yall n to wake up but I'd definitely boycott this place at the very least. I have genuinely never in my life had to write a review but this is the first time I have felt discriminated against. To start, I had ordered regular pancakes but received the wrong item. I got blueberry pancakes instead (which I'm allergic to). I kindly asked the server, Tammy, to correct it but right off the bat she was a bit snarky. However the real problem came later with the manager who I believe to be named Amy. She immediately corrected the issue and when I asked for a discount seeing as it was not my fault, she told me that I'd have to pay full price because I was technically still getting the meal. I decided to move on and just accept the charge seeing as she so "graciously" helped me when Tammy wouldn't but as I was leaving I overheard Amy talking about how I was rude and took years off her life from the interaction because I overreacted. I'm sorry that I just didn't want to die. Lastly Amy if you see this be better, do better! read more

What really impressed me was how organized the entire operation was. So fun, for those of us living farther inland. I feel like I am in a skit from High School Musical 2, summer, summer, summer! Serenity, Madison, Sarah, and Kylie. All very helpful upfront and happy. A slew of guys running around with trays in their hands and accouterments for sweeping and wiping down surfaces. I add Onion Rings because these beasts will remind you why the Onion is King! I also add Fried Pickles and Ranch, because I'm American. And finally order a Squealer Burger for my wife, because I love her. As always: the Loo Review (for my friends in the UK) Wandering back through the tight walls of, what looks like make-shift wooden walls and ceiling, like a shanty built on the waterfront, you find the bathrooms tucked, as usual, way in the back, until the actual bathroom hallway, which is very "up-to-code" clean finished mint painted sheetrock and mahogany wainscoting, just so everybody can rest assured we have your bathroom trip under control. Nothing spectacular, but bright yellow stall divider walls, and large commercial tile slabs, easy to clean with a mop, sinks, uh normal and...yep, nothing to see here... I have literally been online with friends of mine from the UK who were like, "you're at Tookie's!? I have heard of that place, I'm so jealous..." and they should be. You should come grab a burger and some fried treats, as well, maybe I'll catch you there!

I finally got a chance to visit and it didn't disappoint. I took my little man for lunch. He loved…read morehis chicken tenders and Mac n Cheese and I loved my pork chops, mashed potato's, and fried okra. When the waitress asked if I wanted dessert and I asked what they had she had to hand me a piece of paper because there was so much to chose from. I got the reeses cheese cake and got my sister a coconut pie to go. Everything was so yummy. My mom is now asking me to take her. Our waitress was so sweet. It felt like a good down home place to eat. There's ample parking and ramps to help with access.

Very friendly staff, also owner comes around to tables often to check that everyone at your table is satisfied or just to say hi! My favorites are the onion rings, but if you don't want to add the extra cost, their regular fries are good too, along with a Dizzy chicken sandwich, made to your liking! I also love the Monterray Chicken with any of their sides they are all delicious! As far as dessert go it's truly hard to pick a favorite to many good ones! My only complaint is I wished they were opened until 8:00pm. All days of operation but I get it! Hard to manage the bills on slow days and nights! Oh and Sundays they are closed because we all need time to worship or Lord and spend with family!
