From helping us with our order to addressing any issues we had and explaining things, she truly went above and beyond. There is lots of seating inside, so the wait wasn't too long. We've been here twice. The first time was nice, they sat us quickly, the food was good, and we had no complaints. We decided to try it again and I have no clue what was wrong today but they told us they couldn't seat us for 20-25 minutes. After waiting 45 minutes we asked how much longer the wait would be and they said they weren't sure. The kitchen wasn't cooking because there were too many orders. I'm not sure what's happening. Our waitress ignored us. Didn't offer a drink order. Didn't bring extra napkins. I had to go to the bathroom to get papertowels. I have the 4piece chicken and obviously you need more that 1 small napkins. She never checked on us until we were done with the meal. She didn't bring butter for my corn on the cob... not sure why? We tried to stop her to ask for our drinks and she kept walking while we shouted our order to her. Very rude and discouteous. This is our second negative contact with this place. The food was burnt.... ham steak and potato over cooked/burnt black and chicken was greasy. We won't be going back to this location. We tip waitresses very good bc they have a hard job but you ma'am did not rank any tip at all. Then we had 2 live wants walking on our table when the food arrived. He was efficient and kind, we placed our order for our drinks and food. We got the fresh squeezed orange juice, you can see the oranges ready to be squeezed nearby. It was delicious. The huckleberry lemonade was amazing as well. We got the tritip dip and honestly the au jus isn't needed. The tritip was so juicy, it was flavorful, and the portions were generous. We went both days on a Tuesday around 1:30 and it wasn't that busy our waitress Michelle let us sit where ever we wanted, I appreciated that. She was our waitress for both days and each time she was attentive, hospitable and welcoming we came back because of her. Last week I tried the BLT on sourdough and this week I ordered the steak and eggs with hashbrowns and toast for $12.99 it was their mon-fri special it was alot of food at a great price. I ordered a Cobb salad, which should be one of the quickest items to prepare, but it took forever to come out. Because we were running late, I only had time to take a few bites before we had to leave and I took the rest to go. When I got home, I noticed the eggs in my salad had mold all over them. This is a serious health hazard and honestly reflects very poorly on the restaurant's food quality and safety standards. I ordered 2 pancakes which were very dry and bland no matter how much butter and syrup I put on them. I also ordered a bowl of grits that tasted day old and from a box. My final breakfast item i ordered was a cornbread muffin which was super dry and crumbly. I was disappointed in my choices so i thought ordering the individual banana cream pie would make me happy. It didn't. Nothing but a bunch of whipped cream and few banana slices in a pudding custard type filling. There's always great service and amazing food but my most recent experience way by far the best. Especially because of the service provided the waiter Jesse. We went there for Thanksgiving. As we were seated, we noticed food left at different tables that had not been cleared. Leftovers were not taken with the customers. Our food was awful. Chicken fried steak was awful, no taste. Gravy was super salty for the pot roast. Even the eggs didn't taste good. Butter "packets" that we got were all melted. The only thing that was edible was the cornbread. It was probably made somewhere else. After we got our food, no one ever asked how anything was or if we needed anything. The server just gave us the check and walked away. The bathroom had not been cleaned for some time. I know this review is a few months later, but when we go to restaurants, we usually talk about the worst meal and experience we ever had. Oh, and I still left a tip. read more
