Stopped by for the first time today for a quick lunch. I'll start by saying the 2 young ladies working were very nice and provided quick service. Now to the food! The garlic pesto turkey had absolutely zero pesto or garlic flavor, it was a regular (and delicious) turkey sandwich. Also, the chewy bread (which i loved) combined with the overdressed ingredients made it very hard to eat. First attempt at a bite and all the ingredients slid ride out. If i come back, I know to request light or no sauce next time. The artichoke chicken flat bread was very delicious. Decent amount of cheese and toppings and great flavor. Would definitely get again. My main issue for taking a star off was the prices! The 6 inch sandwich for $13 and a pretty small flat bread for $15 is pretty outrageous. Stopped to get sandwiches because my go to bakery was closed and it was fine. I ordered the veggie sandwich, it was filled with fresh veggies. Which was nice but I feel like it needed more seasoning. The bread was pretty good, very fresh. We also got Mac n cheese and it was good but it comes from a bag. For $10 I thought it was kinda pricey. We come here regularly and love it. My son has a tree nut allergy and the staff are always gracious and willing to make our food on a fresh cutting board with glove changes as well. This location of Sourdough & Co is in Rancho Cucamonga, in the same plaza as Trader Joes and Daiso, on the side with September Taproom and Eatery. Parking was not scarce but there were a lot of bad drivers in the parking lot at the time of my arrival. The interior is long and narrow with plenty of seating to choose from. I came here with my niece cause she was feeling soup weather, so we had some auntie & niece quality time. My niece ordered a Clam Chowder Bread Bowl ($12.99) and a 4" Chicken Salad Sandwich ($9.99) and made it a meal with a side of Clam Chowder and a Fountain Drink (additional $7.95). So the reason why I ordered the 4" is because I also ordered a flatbread since I wanted to try a variety of items to support the business on my first visit. Well they didn't put in my order so it's a wasted opportunity for them. The person who took our order was nice... but definitely seemed distracted. We decided to sit towards the back so we can catch up. The first table we approached was dirty so we went to a smaller table even thought there were many empty tables, clean ones were scarce. The food took a really long time to come out. When they finally brought out the soup and sandwiched I had to ask about the flatbread and that's when the other staff member told me the order wasn't put in. The wait was so long already I was over it. I like to snack on all of my food at the same time. As for the sandwich ... I normally love chicken salad sandwiches and but I didn't like this one at all. I guess it was a good thing I only got the 4". And the soup was not bad but the texture was really watery and not creamy at all. We were literally naming other places that make this better. Great experience at Sourdough & Co. The inside is decorated very and there was more seating than your typical Sandwich Shop (ie Jersey Mikes or Subway). The sandwiches were very good and were made with better than average portions for the meat, veggies, and condiments. Great option for sides too! I ordered before noon, the place was not packed. 2 sandwiches and 2 soups- not a big order by any means. I watched 3 other customers order well after me and receive their food first. At that point I was no longer likely to enjoy it because of the long wait. To make matters worse I took the time to express my concern over the long wait time and got nothing more than a soft "im sorry". Might as well have just shrugged your shoulders. Sourdough & Co just opened in Rancho Cucamonga on Friday 5/23/25. They are located to the right of Aloha Kona. We tried to order ahead on Saturday. Their online ordering system has been having kinks. After placing our order and paying, I got a notification that our order was cancelled. When we tried to place our order over the phone , no answer when we called so we gave up. We came in person to order the following day. (They said the system should be resolved now.) The interior was bigger than I was expecting and they have plenty of indoor seating. We paid $27.99 total for an 8" Turkey & Salami ($13.99) and a 6" Ham & Turkey sandwich ($11.99). My husband said he wished his sandwich had more meat in it and he should have added more condiments (mayo, mustard) since he only had the house sauce. We both thought the sourdough bread was really good. The bread had both good taste and texture. Customer service was also friendly. They also sell the sourdough bread by itself for $4.99. Do you like sourdough bread? If your answer was yes, not trying this place isn't an option, you HAVE to try it. If your answer was no, then just wait until you try this place, because you'll change your answer. I have never, ever, tried bread as fresh, perfectly balanced, and soft as the bread they serve here. Let's be honest, their sandwiches contain "regular" ingredients, maybe ham or turkey, some veggies, etc. but their house spread and their bread is what makes this place. Without it, it'd simply be an overpriced deli. That being said, the bread bowls are 100% mandatory if you come here. The choice of soup doesn't matter, just GET IT. You'll thank me later. This place is in a category on its own, it cannot be compared to other sandwich shops or delis, because what their selling point is their bread. I've now tried two different sandwiches on two separate visits, hoping to give this place a fair shot and assuming the first experience might've just been an off day. On my first visit, my co-workers and I placed an online order for lunch. Unfortunately, the restaurant lost our order. While we understood they were new to the online system, it was still frustrating that we ended up getting our food late, even though we had ordered ahead. We were optimistic the food might make up for it, especially since we were excited to have a new spot so close to work. Sadly, that wasn't the case. I ordered the Cholula Chicken sandwich, which was supposed to have a green chile Cholula flavor--there was none. The rest of the sandwich was just okay. The chucks of chicken tasted a little old, tbh. Surprising for a new place! My coworkers tried flatbreads and other sandwiches, but the consensus was that everything was underwhelming. The flatbreads looked small and light on toppings, and no one was impressed. They all said they wouldn't be coming back. Still, I decided to give them a second chance. Today, I ordered the Veggie Sandwich, looking for something fresh and full of flavor--especially since it included avocado. I selected all the veggies, made sure to add avocado, and expected a hearty sandwich like the images on their website. What I received, though, was mostly shredded carrots, a paper-thin slice of cheese, and absolutely no avocado. The sandwich also looked nothing like the photo online--I'll post a comparison. Taste-wise, it didn't deliver either. All in all, not worth the $14 for a 6-inch veggie sandwich (that's the sandwich ONLY price!). Unfortunately, I won't be returning. I'll give it another chance because it's pretty new. I ordered a sourdough bread bowl with potato and cheese soup. I asked them if there was bacon in the soup and I said that I wasn't, I was glad since I'm vegetarian. Soup was very salty and did taste like bacon but maybe that was a spice. Bread bowl burnt. I got it to go so I didn't know in time to ask for a new one. Had to throw it away. It also wasn't dug out enough. Mac and cheese was cold by the time I got home about 10 min away. Nothing terrible, just not anything good either. I love the idea of bread bowl soups so I hope this changes. I didn't want to give a star rating. The food is really good, so far my family and I have tried the pastrami sandwich, chicken bbq flatbread , artichoke chicken flatbread (add pesto sauce) , clam chowder and it's all been so delicious. The sourdough is fresh tasting perfect combination of crunchy outside and fluffy inside! Is it pricey ? Sure but a welcomed addition to our treat day rotation.
