Praline, banana bread pudding and eggs and sausage links.

I decided to get something different. I ordered the Praline, banana bread pudding. We walked and were greeted and seated immediately. The food was delicious and it never disappoints.

A place we frequent that's decent. Usually crowded but you can always find a parking and will be seated quickly. This Blackbear is decorated in the traditional fashion. The volume voices camouflage the music. There is a painted wall in the booth in the far corner. The meal this time unfortunately arrived cold and the cheese wasn't melted on the eggs but that's not usually the case. Linda is a wonderful and attentive server. Always happy to be seated in her section.

Credo #2 is a joke! Hope the owner sees this review.

We only ended up here because everything was closing by 8PM. My first time at this establishment. Because my BF wanted some chicken fried steak we ended up here. And I opted for the fried chicken. In the beginning the server was attentive. After we got our meal she checked on us once. Then, after we finished our meal we wanted some dessert. She was no where to be found. Other servers didn't offer any help. I finally stood up and I saw her standing by the window to receive orders. We then saw her serve the food to the larger table of 8. She didn't tend to us and ignored us. Finally I got up and asked for help from another server. My BF ordered the bread pudding and I asked for the chocolate cream pie. The dessert comes and my order was incorrect. They gave me the banana cream pie. At this point we just wanted the check and leave. We had to flag another server so we can get the check. Our server finally came back and said she was busy rolling silverware's because they were out. Disappointed. We rate the chicken fries steak a 4/5 stars and the fried chicken was over cooked and the breading was too hard which rates 2/5 stars. Inside the ambiance is like a log cabin and of course bears decoration all over the place. Plenty of ample parking. Definitely will not return. Funny thing is they have these placemats with their credos (a statement or system). # 2 Credo states "Your server will give the attention you deserve (hopefully, with a little personality too), One thing you'll never get at The Bear is a canned greeting in a slick atmosphere"! (See photo of it posted). They need to review this or edit it. Because this is NOT the case at all with their service. Hence their rating is 3 stars all around.

I did a pick up order from this location. I got the bear classic, which came with a sweet cream waffle, eggs, and a side of fruit. The waffle was good. And the eggs were well cooked. I liked how they gave me all of the sides such as salt, syrup, and butter because it was a to go order. The inside is so cute. It has a cabin-y vibe which is nice. The staff was quick to greet me and help get my order

The day my family and I came was a slower day. We were able to come and sit down quickly. Our food came out in great timing and it was delicious. I got the scrambowl, my dad got the bobs big burger with a side of half and half (fries and onion rings), and I also got the Arnold Palmer. The staff was efficient and respectful. The place was clean and ready for customers to dine.

Nice portion sizes, friendly staff and general homey vibe. It was a decent place to stop by for brunch :D

Black Bear Diner is the only place that I know where to get Grits. My Denver Omelet was very tasty but so large, I couldn't eat ot all. You definitely leave here full. The service is always outstanding and the atmosphere is always so welcoming.

There is a dedicated parking lot, tight but can hold a decent amount of cars. There is street parking as well, not metered - that is where I parked. The hostess was extremely friendly and attentive, checking in on us several times after ordering to notify of the food's ETA as well as refilling drinks and seeing if we needed anything. The dining area has approximately ten booths in total and became quite crowded around 12:30p. Our meals arrived at different times, items to eat meal arrived sparsely as well. We ordered around 11:30a, there were two other parties present. We were able to order based on our dietary needs/wants as the menu offered quite a diverse array. The crab omelette (known as The California Omelette on the menu) is 1/4 lb of fresh crab served either hot or cold enclosed in three eggs along with avocado and Monterey Jack cheese. For $26.35 the omelette left much to be desired, especially in flavor and seasoning. Nothing complimented or even enhanced the presence of the crab in any way. The remaining party at the table said they enjoy their meal - including a blueberry waffle, toast and eggs with bacon and a double cheeseburger with fries. If you are looking for an inexpensive place to gather, this cafe is certainly an option to consider. It was easy to speak and hear each other with ample privacy and not a lot of traffic - if any.

I got super comfy town diner feels when sitting down like if you come here often all of the regulars will know your name hahaha The PLUS is that they had the morning news up on their TV so I felt like I was at home since I usually catch up with what's going on in the world first thing in the morning. I ordered the CHICKEN FRIED STEAK and ooooohhhhh weeeee! It was perfect! It came with 2 perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs, hash browns, and a good sized chicken fried steak that was topped with gravy that at first bite just gives you that home cooked/ soul filling feel! The sourdough toast was generously buttered with an assortment of jams on the table to choose from. I'll take a strawberry one hahaha If you like heat, I suggest getting that hot sauce bottle labeled "Ray'" and putting that on your hash browns! It was my first time having it and WOW! I. LOVED. IT. What's Tabasco again??? Hahaha It'd go great on tacos, a burrito, anything! I was close to asking if I could buy one hahaha The coffee is good and strong! Our waitress provided great customer service. She took our orders quickly and was always there at the perfect time to ask if I needed a coffee fill up. Will definitely be back! After coming here, you'll no longer want to go to the other breakfast places in Vallejo. As of today , this is my new #1 breakfast spot! *They also have donuts! The old fashioned glazed is the best I've had in town. It's fresh and not overly sweet/ glazed. PERFECT.
