She's an amazing person and talented artist. One of my favorite benefits of working with Kylie is how fast I heal from her work. It's always even prettier than expected. When she did a tattoo for my elbow ditch, I couldn't believe how quickly it healed. Especially since I wasn't able to use a bandage and it's an area where the skin is moving a lot . This place is the definition of mediocre if you want a mediocre tattoo that's gonna be chunky, uneven lines come here I got a tattoo here and it was the most unprofessional experience of my life. I was definitely unexperienced to say the least because it was my first tattoo, but the artist completely botched what I asked for and I would just completely recommend avoiding this place if you can go to a truly trusted artist and don't just go to a random place in your small hometown cause this is the definition of that this is no better than getting a tattoo from red Dragon if you know you know. read more

If I could rate this zero stars I would. Me and my mom booked a day so we can get a tattoo together cause the girl said she can do our tattoo so when she sent a picture of the design she created we told her it wasn't what we wanted to get she proceeds to make a design that we don't want. She tells us that she cannot do the tattoo we want and she kept my deposit of $50. If she couldn't do the tattoo why couldn't she tell me before booking the appointment. I want my refund back. Do not recommend, save yourself from an awful tattoo. My family went in for finger tattoos from the artist Bri, she over charged for being incredibly inexperienced. This tattoo is also TOUCHED UP keep in mind. It was suppose to be a little T for my newborn son. But now it's huge and bled so bad. I have 8 finger tattoos from different artists (obviously) and they all are perfect exactly what I asked for. So not only is the tattoo terrible she charged $150 for this.... Truly, the artists were excited to see us, which was my first indication to turn around and leave. Heheheh. Nice change of pace, actually. There are a lot of taxidermy animals on the walls. It's a different vibe. The shop was bright and had a good playlist going and seemed pretty clean. They actually were very talented artists, friendly, personable & we are very happy with their work. When we met them they took a photo of the art that we wanted and said they were going to draw it up and call the owner and see what he wanted to charge for 4 of us to get the same tattoo of a spade, the size of a quarter. She came back and asked us to fill out paperwork. I asked her what he said we would be charged, and she said that her boss quoted $150. I thought that was a very good deal.There was a sign on their wall that says their minimum is a hundred dollars. My mistake was not asking better questions. $150 is a good price for 4 tattoos! The part that hurt is when we were leaving, and she told me that the total was $550 with the discount.I think I stopped breathing for a moment. She told us then that their minimum was $150 per person, which contradicted the sign on the wall. In any case, I wish she would have said that up front because I likely would not have stayed, (mama's decimated her budget!) Again, the service is great, the shop is clean, we're happy with their work.It was just miscommunication that had me knock down my star rating. Just be sure to ask the right questions and get clarification when you visit. read more

What a fantastic place. I have been wanting a tattoo for over 20 years, but life seemed to always get in the way. Raising a family, work, bills mortgage and so on. Recently divorced, kids are grown, house is sold. So why not. My daughter is on her 4th tattoo. All designed and done here. She loves their work, so I decided to go and check them out. Just got my tattoo done with Joy! She is so sweet and very talented. I got a simple phrase. It's part of a tattoo project by one of my favorite poets. I started getting tattooed by JOSE DIAZ about 2.5-3 years ago. He is amazing, detail oriented and super creative. I gave him very little input and he came up with all of my pieces. I had an appointment with Joy on May 18th at 5pm. I wanted to get the fingers on both of my hands done. When I emailed a few reference pictures and asked if she could do something like them, she said yes and scheduled my appointment with no questions asked. I thought for this type of tattoo I might get some questions (am I aware of fading, do I have other tattoos, etc) but nope, no questions and no warning such as these types of tattoos might fade or need touch ups. But I just figured maybe that's common knowledge, and artists aren't as strict about those types of tattoos anymore. During the appointment Joy was very nice and patient, and reassured me that I could take a break whenever I needed, that we could tattoo just one hand that day if the pain was too much, etc. I was super nervous because not only is this a really visible spot, but also pretty painful from what I've heard. She spent around half an hour drawing the designs on my fingers. I did speak up a couple times to note things I didn't love, and she didn't hesitate to change them which I appreciated. I wish I had really spent more time to think about it once she had the designs drawn on, and look at my reference pictures again, because now that I've had time to adjust and get used to them, I don't think they really resemble the references or look that I was going for. I understand that I okayed the design and went along with it...but I was going to ask for some touch ups/additions to get the look I really wanted at the appointment we had scheduled for the next week to do my other hand. I'm hindsight I wish she would have prepped the design before my appointment instead of just free-handing during my appointment. The actual tattooing took 30 minutes. I paid attention to the start time 5:30pm and the end time 6pm. When she finished the first hand she was like "okay it's been about an hour" and suggested we do the other hand another day. I was prepared to do both hands that day, but Joy recommended we just do one for healing purposes, and then do the other hand and touch ups on the next appointment. That wasn't what I planned, but I was a little nervous about healing both hands at the same time so I said ok. I did however say that I could handle getting both hands done that day. I have not experienced an artist charging for drawing time before, so I'm not sure if that's how she works or if she wasn't paying attention to the time, but I didn't feel comfortable bringing it up. Part of me also wondered if she wanted to do the other hand another day so I would end up paying more. Unfortunately that second appointment never happened. She contacted me two days before my appointment and said "something came up" and asked if we could reschedule. Not a huge deal since she suggested the following week, so I agreed. I let her know that any day besides June 1st would work for me. She replied and said Wednesday should work for her, but she would check her schedule and get back to me. The one day that I said would not work is the day she offered, but since she said she was going to check her schedule and then get back to me, I waited for her to reply. She never did. From the looks of her instagram posts the day of my cancelled appointment it looks like I got blown off for her friend's birthday. That wouldn't have bothered me if she actually got back to me and rescheduled. However, now I am at a point in which I don't feel comfortable returning, not like it matters though, because she forgot about me. So now I'm stuck with one unfinished hand until I can find an artist willing to help, which won't be easy. She also did not provide me with any aftercare instructions that I can recall. I have a lot of tattoos already so it's not normally an issue, but with these tattoos being on my fingers I feel like I should have been given some information. I'm not sure if they healed correctly. There are some spots that are bumpy and don't look like they ever peeled. I made the mistake of trying to find an artist closer to me, instead of holding out and waiting until I could make it work with my first choice artist. Traveling isn't easy for me, and I thought I could just find someone closer and it would be okay. Unfortunately it did not work out for me. read more

Can't say enough good stuff about this shop. I found a couple of the artists on Instagram and booked an appointment with Kylie for a piece from her flash drawings. From the moment I walked in I felt right at home. The shop is super clean without feeling sterile, nicely decorated with some classic tattoo shop oddities but a modern twist. Everyone was approachable and welcoming, Joy even came over to say hi. Kylie was so great, professional and easy to talk to. My session was about 2.5 hours and it seriously flew by because we were just chit chatting and having a good time. It honestly felt like hanging with an old friend, except the friend is stabbing you with tiny needles over and over again. But seriously, I really enjoyed my experience and if this place were a coffee shop I'd come by every day. I live in Sacramento and it's definitely worth the drive. I got an amazing tattoo done from Rebecca! She was so patient with all of my questions and details I wanted incorporated into my tattoo!
