All are healing well and I'm very happy with the placements.  Keep in mind the jewelry is not included in the piercing fee, and it can add up quick if you're a gold lover. But if you're getting subsequent piercings, they allow you to bring in any previous jewelry that you've already purchased from them to use for future piercings. Just keep in mind that your appointment may take a little longer because they will need to sanitize the jewelry. I'm most impressed with the detailed aftercare instructions. I was horrified by the lack of instructions my sister received after being pierced at a VERY POPULAR piercing place in Berkely on Telegraph Ave (you know the place). She came with me to one of my appointments at DV8 and said, wow, they didn't tell me ANY of that stuff at the other place. And I was like, I KNOW - that's why I only come to DV8. They are also certified by the Association of Professional Piercers, so I feel confident that everything they do is safe and sanitary.

I am so sorry I forgot your name. But you're great! Courtney who was my piercer is an absolute GEM! (Get it?) She was so gentle and friendly. I got my conch pierced with a beautiful piece of jewelry. Courtney took care of me and made sure I was okay through the whole process and how to breathe while the needle went through. This is by far the best piercing I have ever had, and I have 12. It healed perfectly with no issues. I can sleep on it, wash my hair, talk on the phone for work, wear ear buds without it hurting since day 1. It's literally the perfect spot for an earring! Went back in today (about 8 weeks later as recommended) to get a shorter stud put in (extra cost) because the original post is longer to aid in healing and swelling process. They give you the original stud in case you want to reuse it for another piercing later which saves you $20 next time! Sweet! I will say this was definitely an expensive piercing, however knowing you're in a clean environment, in good hands and that the jewelry is hand made is pretty worth it. It's neat to know that the owner makes a lot of the jewelry there. They are beautiful. Note: don't touch or take your jewelry out in the store, they have signs in there to keep their environment sterile for the people getting piercings. Smart and thoughtful! Cant wait to go back!! Made an appointment for my daughter and her sister to get their ear pierced on Saturday for my…read moredaughter's birthday. The girls were both excited and nervous to get pierced for the first time. Because the girls were so nervous, we had used some numbing cream on the girls ears, however when we got there, they turned us away to reschedule the appointment due to the numbing cream. They wouldn't even let us come back later that day for it. The whole interaction regarding having the reschedule bc of the numbing cream was a little off putting. However we did reschedule the appointment for the next day. We had to wait over 30 minutes after our appointment time which has pretty nerve wracking for little girls nervous to get their first piercing. The piercing experience was ok. The reason we chose AuAdore was so that the girls could get pierced in a private room and not in the middle of the mall. However, make sure to ask for a breakdown of the cost afterwards bc I had no idea it was going to be as expensive as it was. Normally I wouldn't necessarily expect this however due to the huge cost difference between their establishment and other locations in the mall, I think they should provide pricing info beforehand. You have to purchase the jewelry there, so with one pair of stud earrings and the piercing, it came to $200 per kid! I walked away after spending over $400 on these kids, when I could have gotten free piercing at Clair's. Also, at the end of the appointment they inform us that we "have" to come back for a follow up appointment in order to gauge down the earrings. Oh yea, that appointment also costs money. Needless to say, we didn't do that and had a sour taste in our mouth about the whole experience. I know there is a proper way to care for piercings, however the communication about how pressing it is for us to buy certain saline and everything felt like pressure vs information. It's also a lot closer than the other shop I was used to going to. Fallen Angel is a tattoo shop and the set up inside is gorgeous. I liked how the tattoo stations were set up facing the windows and the clients getting tattoos had movies playing for a nice distraction. There didn't seem like much room, but maybe it was (since I'm not the expert, lol). Everyone looked comfortable! We met Shannon! She walked out with gorgeous long purple & blue hair and a big smile. I instantly loved her personality! After introductions, she went to go sanitize the room so we could all get pierced. One by one and we watched each other all get pierced, Shannon took her time with each of us. We all did something different. My daughter got a floating halo, her grandmother got a flat, I think?? I got the conch. Right before Shannon pierced us, she offered to count down if we wanted. I needed a count down, lol! How funny is my daughter that as I decided on the conch, she whispers the word "ouch" to me before I was pierced, lol! Yeah it hurt, but it also felt great! I got four piercings with them in one sitting and bled more than i ever have before and i had 8 piercings previously. I bled so much that it dripped onto my jacket and pants. PLEASE be cautious and ask as many questions as possible. They have potential to be good because of the low price but were not upfront about what they were doing. The staff was kind and patient to me although my sisters piercer was curt and a bit unhelpful. They definitely need to upgrade their jewelry and/or switch to internally threaded flat backs.

I'm sorry... what? Since when is sharing a phone number a dealbreaker? Are landlines illegal now? Needless to say, I never even made it to booking the appointment. Business lost before I could even walk in the door... impressive. It's especially disappointing since I've worked with Bill and his wife through Wildlife before and had a great experience. Unfortunately, this time I couldn't even get past the phone call because of... a phone number. Sad!
