I scheduled an appointment online, but I don't think I needed to, I came on a Monday afternoon so it wasn't busy at all I was literally in and out. I was greeted when I walked in by Hannah, who ended up being my piercer. She was cool and sweet. A good vibe, and she did a great job on my piercing! I got both lobes done which came out to $50, but their jewelry is priced separately. It's not a huge selection so I just got a basic silver stud that plus the tip ended up totaling around $85. If I could give this a lower rating I would. My sister went today to get her septum pierced and to start off, there was nobody at the front to great when walking in. No one checked ID, or her age to confirm she could get her nose pierced. On top of that, prices are RIDICULOUS. The website states that the piercing is $60. Now you would think that it would include the jewelry. Nope. The jewelry ranges starting at $30. She wanted a gold piercing, so I understand it would be more, but on top of $60 to just get it pierced she paid an additional $40 for a tiny piece of fake gold. At the end of the service there was no information on how to clean it or even what to expect. I got my tattoo done there over a year ago and didn't think much of it at the time, but it started to fade after the first month of getting it. I got a phrase for my mom and it is pretty fine lined, but this tattoo the more I look at it is messed up. The lines are finer than fine lined. I got a fine line done at tattoo bills a year ago and there have been no issues. I will attach a picture of the tattoo that they charged $180 for. Yes $180. The tattoo artists apparently get to pick what you pay. All I am saying is, if you want to go somewhere more professional and worth your money (which won't up-charge) go get it done at tattoo bills or somewhere else. read more

Went in for a ear piercing because my left ear, second pierce had grown over. Simple procedure or so I thought. The person who did my piercing said he didn't usually work at the Carolina Place location. I asked if he had lots of experience with piercings and was told yes very much. I was accompanied by my daughter who was not allowed in the private room with me. Had the ear done nothing to worry about. But... when I went to clean my ear later that day, I was appalled to fine it was not straight through my ear lobe. It went almost up and down. I call the next day and talked to a nice person who said I should come back and let them look at it. Went back and had to have it re-pierced. The second person was nice and did an excellent job. So I guess a lesson learned is, ask more questions. Make sure you get someone who is in that location for a while. And tell the person you're dealing with exactly what you want done. read more

i got both of my nostrils pierced and the people that did it there were very nice. my only complaint is that they probably used low quality material because i got a piercing bump probably about two weeks after i got it pierced (i clean it everyday with saline solution) and it hasn't gone away. another thing is that they pierce with L bends which has probably contributed to the piercing bump since my piercing have a lot more room to move around. not a fun experience to try and put your piercing back in after it fell out in the middle of the night after getting it pierced a month and a half ago. it was a little bit on the cheaper side tho so you get what you pay for i guess! read more

Decent place artist was friendly as was the pretty one up front that does piercings. Got charged double+ what my tattoo was worth. It took 10 minutes to do which was fortunate for them as a walk in they weren't anticipating. I had the picture so all that was needed was a stencil print out for a tattoo that was a square inch. I was charged 100$ I've have many tattoos from 4-5 other states and businesses so I'm familiar with pricing. Again this was more than double what it should have been. Good for them I came with the intention to get more so I started small. Now I know not to go back for the larger one. If they quote you up front and it seems steep it's because it is. Shop around! Stumbled upon this place while searching Yelp for good tattoo artist. This location is located in Carolina place mall (go in through the entrance by Harpers and walk pass the kiddie area and it's the last store front on the right. We had to email and call to get a response about a time and artist. So my only suggestion is to get some type of online reservation system or just reply to your emails. They ha e a $100 minimum so be prepared to pay and they only accept cash. There's an ATM in lobby of the shop that chargers a $3 fee. All the staff was helpful and we were paired with a great and honest artist. Will come back in the future for another tatt soon. read more

I had been wanting to get my third hole for my lobes so I came by without an appointment. The shop was quiet but there were two other piercing clients ahead of me. I only waited about 20 minutes and it was worth the wait. The only downside to this visit was that I feel like they did not have a wide range or selection of jewelry (particularly for the lobe piercing). I'm not super concerned about this though as I plan to change the jewelry after healing. Amanda was my piercer and she was great! She was friendly and was very diligent about cleanliness. She was also gentle and did not rush through the piercing. I also wound up getting a conch piercing and she offered me a discount on the jewelry. I am very happy with my new piercings. I went here to get a nose piercing for my son. When we first got there, the first associate made no indication that there would be a problem with the work getting done. After sitting and waiting to get called back the second associates quickly assumed that the boy was not my son. Yes I am a black man with a white son. I was told that I had to prove that he was my son. So what I got from that, is that I needed to go to the house to pick up his white mother to prove that this boy is legally mine? Who walks around carrying adoption papers? Why didn't the first associate tell me this would be an issue at the door, instead of waste my time? Instead of causing a scene, I took my white son someplace else to get the same work done with no problems. read more

I went with my friend to support her in getting a septum and we spoke to a very nice guy at the front about pricing. He had told us that the base price for a septum was going to be $60 and the jewelry itself $10. He scanned the one she had chosen, being $10, and then we got in line to wait to be pierced. The piercer was also very sweet and made the experience easy for my friend. When getting checked out at the register the "manager" had told us the wrong jewelry was scanned and scanned a different septum ring. This upped the price from $10 to $30 JUST for the ring. This wasn't discussed with the client and when we had brought up the fact we weren't informed that it would be $30$ (making the final total $90 rather than $70) the manager snapped back with the total price of $90. We felt stuck with paying the raised price because of her sternness and lack of professionalism. I wish this place would stay true to their word. Would not recommend. read more

Russell is AMAZING! Our experience getting my 5.5 year olds ears pierced was phenomenal. Beyond phenomenal. All of the staff that my little family interacted with was amazing. I went here today to get some piercings and I can say honestly how absolutely amazing the people there were. My piercer, Dominique, was so incredibly friendly and down to earth and put me instantly at ease! I have bad anxiety and she made me feel so comfortable. Been coming to Black Cloud for over 4 years. I've had my conch, double helix, septum and just recently got my belly button. The ear piercings were fine I've never had any issues. When I had the septum done, I felt a sharp snap and bled all the way down my face. I've talked to many other people with septum's and they did not bleed or feel a "pop" when getting pierced. After 4 months with the septum, I had to take it out because of the pain. I kept it clean and disinfected but the pain and soreness would not go away. I got my belly button done about 1 1/2 weeks ago. From the start I had a bad feeling. The jewelry was way too big- but they said it was all they had so I went with it. After I left the shop I noticed how thin the skin was that she pierced. I don't think much and just continued to keep it clean. Now it's been almost 2 weeks and the skin that was pierced and has the metal bar- is so thin it looks like it will rip out at any moment. It's also shifted to the side. I'm not sure if it's cause of the jewelry size or if it was pierced incorrectly. Really disappointed as I wanted a cute belly ring for summer. read more

I give this place 1 star because everyone in the store that I spoke to was kind. Aside from that, I'm frustrated with my experience and disappointed with the service itself. I visited on 02/22/24 and paid for a jewelry change for my tragus. By 02/26, I had to return to get another jewerly change because the back end unscrewed and fell out out that same day. I requested for the same gold heart jewel and was told that is what I would receive. However, I didn't realize until I left that I was given silver. I was just happy to have a piece of jewelry so my piercing wouldn't close and left it at that. Unfortunately, not even 3 hours later, the back end fell off again. Called later that evening and was told the piece of jewelry is probably faulty so to return to get it entirely changed. I visit 02/27 and get a curved barbell rather than a flat back. I am assured that the back end will not unscrew. Few days later on 03/06, back end falls off. Now it's 03/07 and the actual jewel of the barbell falls off. Each time I visited, the person providing the service was different. So, not only does there seem to be an issue with getting it screwed on correctly and/or tight enough but the jewelry is also cheaply made. read more

I spent the last 2 months looking for the best place to get my 9 month old ears pierced, I talked myself out of it then back into it again and again. I did not want an inexperienced person coming anywhere near her with a piercing gun but I was hesitant to take her to a tattoo parlor. After some research I decided to take her to the Pineville location since it had 14K options to limit a possible allergic reaction. My husband and I immediately met Russell who walked us through the process and even took time to help us pick the perfect studs. He was so gentle with our baby girl and included us every step of the way. She, and I, tolerated it very well and there were only a few tears shed - she was all smiles before we even left. I'm sure piercing infants isn't exactly an artists favorite thing to do but he made us feel like a priority and put us at ease. I can not recommend this place high enough, especially Russell. My 5 year old daughter and I went to Black Cloud today to get her ears pierced. She was very nervous, but our artist, Dominique, was incredibly patient and kind. My daughter needed to know exactly what was going to happen and Dominique walked her through the steps and was very professional. She was truthful when she said it would hurt and didn't sugar coat anything, which made the experience very straight forward. She was the only artist, so she had to pierce them one at a time; but she remained patient and kind while my daughter collected herself for the second piercing. I came here 6 months ago for a double nose piercing. In the moment yeah this place is great! Very sanitary, very clean, nice staff. It wasn't the initial piercing that made me give this place a 1 star but AFTERWARDS Now I debated giving this place a review for a while bc BOTH my piercings keloided and I thought maybe it's something I was doing wrong, they told me after 4 weeks I could come in and get my piercings switched to hoops, after doing some research I found out you need to wait at least 6 months to switch your piercing but I trusted my piercer would have my best judgment and wouldn't want to purposely mess the piercing up. I thought maybe everyone online was being dramatic and it would be fine....oh boy I waited 2 months after getting my piercing to switch it to a hoop, 4 more weeks after the piercer said I could. One of the piercings had a small bump already (but I was already treating it and it was going down tremendously) I actually called there twice to tell them my piercing was forming a bump and they said "just keep pushing on it (to get all the puss out)" obviously they sounded way more educated on it so I trusted them and continued. After I got the hoops switched not to long after BOTH piercings keloided. I called and they said the same thing. After that I decided to take matters into my own hands and try other ways to get rid of these ugly bumps but after MONTHS of trying they ALWAYS came back . Eventually by just TAPPING the piercing it would swell immediately and get infected very easily I decided to go somewhere else to consult what was happening with the piercings. Come to find out this place has a HISTORY of bad piercings. The place I went to told me they see tons of messed up piercings from that place all the time and I shouldn't of went there. I'm not sure why there isn't more reviews on this place because they apparently only care about money (hence why they let me change my piercing so fast) now I have to take my piercings out and let them heal because the scar tissue is now traumatized from switching to a hoop with out being healed LONG STORY SHORT DO NOT GET YOUR PIERCING DONE HERE SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLES LIKE I HAD TO FACE read more
