Couldn't wait to check this place out! Lots to choose from and the owners were very friendly and welcoming to every customer that walked in. Great service and great food, baked goods and pastries!! Will be going back to try more items (:

Breakfast Sandwich bacon, egg and cheese! Delicious!

Had a breakfast sandwich today at Black Dog. The service was excellent and very friendly! We had great coffee! It's a small place but great on the go. We bought their pepperoni rolls and pretzels to go and our family loved them!

This restaurant ( NEW LOCATION)was very good . Keep in mind…read more I am NOT vegan but my wife is . So this spot give us a place to meet her food needs and for us to have a friendly compromise . I can truly say that the food doesn't taste Vegan. It is actually delicious. The service was very pleasant and inviting. Although the restaurant is on the smaller side it's quite cozy. If I would give one complaint I would say that they didn't have a large enough coffee cup. It was very tiny I would say a 4oz cup instead of a 6 or 12oz. Overall will I go back ABSOLUTELY..

I'm torn with this one…read more Taste-wise, most of our food was good, but the presentation was, well, bad. Let's talk about the rib dinner: it's made from jackfruit and really does taste like meat. It's pretty good, but it looked like it was just slapped down on the plate...bbq sauce smeared along the sides of the plate...pretty slapdash. It came with two sides, which, if plated with the ribs, might have looked better. But the side of Mac & cheese came separately in a cup, and the side of truffle fries came in a styrofoam clamshell. The Mac was decent... not cheesy but had a good flavor. The fries were lukewarm and soggy and left a greasy pool of oil at the bottom. It was definitely small portions.... Not enough to fill my husband's stomach. He ate half of my meal...which brings me to the next dish: burrito bowl. This was quite filling, flavorful, and large-portioned. It was nicely presented, even if in a plastic bowl. They were out of a lot of things on the menu, and there was no dessert to be seen, which was disappointing because vegan desserts are hard to come by. I was hoping for more creative dishes and ingredients, but it was mainly typical restaurant fare ( hamburgers, fish, tacos , fries) but just with vegan meat swapped in for real meat. Not saying it wasn't good...just not really creative. I can see this being more of a take-out place. I don't recommend it as a destination.

The menu is very limited and there are so many upcharges. I do appreciate the happy hour pricing on weekends too though. Presentation is nice though. I ordered the confit wings $20 and they were really dry and so very un-confit like. I wanted to try 2 different sauces so the server said I can only do that if I get them on the side. But I know other places have much crunchier, juicier wings even plain. The sauces were just okay. No side of ranch and wish there were some carrots thrown in. Bonus points for having some fun board and card games stocked that you can borrow from the front! That was neat! BF is friends with a worker here and he was great! He was effusive, warm, solicitous and really helpful. If we go back here, it'll be for the brunch since that menu looked more interesting. I've been here in 2024 for The Watson speakeasy as well so very familiar with the area.

My friend got the Farmers Daughter cocktail and she liked it, and said it was strong. We both got the Breakfast Burger + truffle tots w/ Parmesan (instead of fries). The quality of the meat was very good! It was interesting because they automatically cook it medium unless you want something different. I wish I would've asked for medium rare, but I just went with what was the norm. I wish the burger patty had been seasoned more. But other than that, the burger as a whole was really good. The truffle tots were amazing. The server was really attentive and nice. Another server came around to top off our waters. Overall it was a great experience! The restaurant is huge inside, with sleek and bright vibes. They have a big outdoor patio as well.

I can honestly say The Blue Door has earned a place among the very best meals I've ever had. What amazed me most wasn't just that every dish was delicious--it was that every single plate had its own identity. Nothing tasted repetitive or safe. Each course was thoughtfully composed with bold flavors, beautiful presentation, and combinations I never would have imagined working together... yet they absolutely did. Beyond the food, every plate looked like a work of art. You could tell the kitchen artists take immense pride in presentation without sacrificing flavor. The service was warm, knowledgeable, and perfectly paced. We never felt rushed, and every recommendation was spot on. If someone asked me where to experience one of the best dining experiences in Ohio, I wouldn't hesitate for a second. I'd tell them to drive to The Blue Door in Cuyahoga Falls. This wasn't just dinner. It was an experience.

There were two of us, and the total for breakfast plus two coffees and tip was more than $70. Portions are huge. Ambiance was nice. Sad it didn't knock it out of the park.

They have a taco Tuesday thing but it's not a discount it's 3 tacos and you can mix and match from what they make. Which is not really a special in my opinion. The place has a nice patio and inside can fit an about 10 tables of various sizes. And the bar has seating. Cute place. I see it can get crowded on a Friday night or Saturday night. We got the green bean app for the table. They are cooked perfectly with teriyaki glaze and some tempura but not a lot. They have a sauce that has a bit of a kick but not bad. These are good and good to share. Good portion. I ordered the steak and gruyere sandwich and chips. Sandwich was good. Not big but very flavorful and good. Would have liked a bigger banquette for the sandwich. Ok amount of meat. It was good. The chip side was very crunch and good amount. But to me the chips were a bit greasy tasting. Needed more salt and a bit of flavor. It was a ok meal. The friend that suggested the restaurant got the Ohio burger. It was huge. She cut it into 4's and only ate half. It was big! She also got the chips. Again chips were ok just a bit oily tasting and need salt. The dining area is loud. Lots of people in close proximity talking. It's hard to hear and sound is bouncing. That was a bit of a bummer to try and talk over all the noise. Server was good very attentive and helped with suggestions. The food. The food is very good. We tried three different wing flavors. The house made buffalo, the Thai chili, and the citrus jerk wings. They fell off the bone and were delicious. I would have to say the best wings I've had, these really did stand out, and would say they are worth trying. They are a bit pricier than other places wings, but the flavor is there. What we really came here for was the burger, we've been trying every place that the Akron Beacon Journal did a tournament for to determine our own favorite, without nostalgia influencing our decisions. The burger was fantastic. The meat is seasoned well and the bread was soft and fluffy. The sauce tasted homemade and unique, but didn't take away from the burger. The pickles on it as well are homemade or made from a company nearby, but they're also very good and different than any you get at the store. I will definitely be back. This was very good on a day where we stopped at 3 places and this happened to be the last.
