six months ago i was homeless i had nothing i woke up one day and started walking i made it to allen tx. reconnected with family and started to clean up my act within 2 weeks i had a job in fact 2 jobs then one day i began to remember how much i would have liked to own a harley well i havent seen my kids in seven year so i thought what better way to get back in their lives than to pull up on one of these beautiful beasts and show them that their dad is not a deadbeat that the love between us is what kept me alive and fighting one day i make the decision to walk into the harley store in allen i meet a man named Lew if you dont know him he's a bg guy with a big beard along with a big heart we hung out for a bit and one of the first things he tells me is go look at the bike and see which one calls out to you because in all honesty your bike chooses you not the other way around i had my eyes on a heritage then BOOM like a lightning strike im hit with the all inspiring awe or a 2006 vrod harley orange and chrome 1250cc. of power completely custom with screaming eagle parts not to mention the eagle emblem on either side of the bike which to me sorta represents the story of the pheonix because in seemed that of the ashes of an old life arose anew some i let Lew know that the vrod was the one and at first i kinda didnt think i had a shot at getting it but Lew being a man of his word said that we will do everything possible to put you on that bike so he introduces me to Tyler now this guy is a financing manager for a reason he must have gone through twenty plus lenders to find one who would accept me but finally i do get accepted so he crunches the number with me and i start saving four hard core month of overtime and all around hard work by all parties i have the down then would you know it the place that accepted me changes their mind UGH but we are all goal driven so on my down payment day my hand was almost forced to either settle with a different bike or no bike so we were all a little irritated by red tape they knew i wouldn't settle the vrod was meant for me so the brainstorming had started again i was at the store for a whole day from open till close and well after all this at the end of the day i got to BANG THE GONG!!!! so thank you to LEW and TYLER of The Harley Davidson Store of Dallas in Allen and to all the others behind the scenes by far the best team of great and caring people who want nothing more than to stand by their word and who's integrity is nothing less of excellent!!! its not just a bike it truly is a lifestyle thanks again guys for all your hard work!! read more

You better shop around for Harley Warranties before you buy. Long story short, some dealerships, not all, add a huge markup on some of their warranty packages that Harley either does not care to regulate or know about. This is a review about Garland HD. I am a long time customer of Maverick Harley Davidson in Carrollton TX, having bought 13 bikes from them over the last 6 years. I recently went into buy wheel and tire warranty for my 2010 Heritage I bought from Dream Machines. This began my learning experience. I was helped by one of the finance guys named john parker and the first thing he said when I said I wanted "wheel and tire warranty only" was "my machine (computer) was not set up to do that." He then tried to sell me on the more expensive full ESP coverage which he priced at 2500 for 3 years. He told me he would give me 10% off and make that 2300. Then when I balked at that he offered me the Stand Alone Wheel and tire for $450; the one he said he could not offer before; but I had to get all new tires. He then went to help someone else seeing I was catching on. Something about this deal stunk so I left and made some calls. First I called American Eagle in Corinth, their direct competitor. The finance manager chris miller told me that for 1 year Stand Alone wheel and tire they charge $900 and for two years $1300. I found out later there is over $500 mark up from these guys. I asked Chris directly if there was a markup and he admitted that there was, but gave no details. I then called Harley Davidson direct, I told them what had happened so far, and they sympathized without giving me much of an answer. They gave me the number to CNA 1.800.527.7226 which is Harley's third party claims processor for warranties on used bikes to see if they were concerned. I talked to them and the guy on the phone and when he heard about me feeling a bit gouged said "it is what it is". So I then called Dallas HD in Garland Texas owned by Paul Langford. The finance manager Jack Mangum finally gave me the real price off the price sheet that they would sell Stand Alone wheel for 1 year $459, 2 years $508, 3 years $584. Finally honest pricing. I called the dealership Mr Langford has in Allen TX and they have the same pricing. So Ill be doing business with them in the near future for my warranty needs, not these other guys who think its cool to screw over their customers. read more

Recently my son came back to this area, and after many bad choices in his life, he got a great job and decided he really wanted to buy a Harley, so he walked to the Harley Davidson of Dallas and met Lew. this was without a doubt a life changing experience for him, Lew is truly a God send for this family. He worked with my son for months talking to him and encouraging him, so that, eventually with a lot of hard work and due diligence, he could accomplish this. My son visited the Harley store frequently, and talked with Lew and Finally after several months of saving, Jason got to see all of this come together, and Tyler worked all day with us to get everything in order including getting Jason an amazing interest rate saving him thousands. If it hadn't been for Lew's amazing patience and friendship with my son this would not have come about and Jason wouldn't be in the place he is , I thank God for these wonderful people for all of their help and caring. I truly believe that Lew's patience for all of those months has helped save my son and make him a better man. . One of the wonderful things about getting a Bike through this place is it becomes like a second family. everyone is extremely friendly, and makes you feel right at home no matter why you are there. it is truly like visiting family. **Long review **The day before visiting HD of Dallas, I went to a dealer and was told that the bike I wanted was was too large and heavy for me (I am 4' 11", 123lbs). I was talked into considering the next size below, even having me think it's a good idea, especially considering I have been riding for about 2 years. Needless to say, it did not work out with that dealer. The next day,  I called HD of Dallas (50+miles away), inquiring about the said bike I was told would be a better fit for me. Kim Lewis told me to come in and check out the inventory and had me work with an awesome salesman, Mark. I looked over the used inventory and was going to settle with one. As I was about to agree to purchase a new one instead (blow out sale),  my friend noticed the bike I really wanted (2019 Road King Special) was listed on the documentation. As soon as Kim realized that was the bike I wanted, he made it happen for me. With the assistance of Julius, the parts expert and the entire service department, the bike was customized to fit me. The crew, including service, stayed over late the night I purchased the bike and the night I picked it up to ride home. They refused to leave without making sure I was safe enough to ride. when I was looking for a new bike I had been to other dealers in the area and they could not make the deal that I was looking for. I had just came to the conclusion that I would keep my old bike for a little while longer. I received a call from HD of Dallas and I told them that I had been to other places and could not make the deal happen. They ask me to come in and let them try. I went up there on a Thursday night. I gave them all the info at 6.15 PM. We were looking around and waiting for some feed back for others. At closing time I told them to just call me in the morning. They wanted to get this done that night. I did leave and the next mooring they called and the deal was done with what I was looking for. great help. I have had a few small issues with my bike under warranty and every time I have carried it to the service dept they have went out of there way to get the problems taken care of one that visit. Brandon in service is a great guy that will help you any way he can. If you need service on you bike carry it to them. I have sent others up there and they have been great to work with. Everyone gets excited when they buy a Harley, but what does it say about the dealer when you come back over and over again and eventually buy 3 Motorcycles and spend more money with them than you would admit to your family ???? Its say this dealership is 5 star all the way !!! From the first time in the door they make you feel like family, the owner Paul is always there (I think he sleeps in back) and he has put together a team that would rival any Ritz-Carlton staff ! Johnny and Nick are amazing on the sales floor, bending over backwards to make your dreams and deals happen... Sometimes you never see the magic outback happen... Shawn has a great team in Service that can overcome any issue and make your bike absolutely perfect... Shane, Miller, Dusty and Hatem have worked on all my rides and they amazing. So as I write this, I am surrounded by boxes and getting ready to relocate back to California and the one thing I will miss in Texas more than anything, is this dealership and the family they have assembled... My bike died on me while driving. The HD tow service was very reasonably priced and had it towed to Allen HD. I told them the issue and symptoms to be addressed and I was given a ball park of a couple of hundred dollars. They tried to sell me an over priced Harley battery, but I found one for $40 cheaper at a battery store. They had my bike for nearly 3 weeks, only addressed half of the issues discussed and charged me over $300 for something that they said wasn't the problem. When I went to pick up the bike, it was dirty, it had bird sh#* on it. The leather seat and tank had greasy hand prints on them. I found a loose bolt in the battery compartment and the worst part is they lost my key. I have not been offered a replacement and they are not cheap. The customer service gentleman was very pleasant to speak to, but he knew very little about my bike and kept trying to refer me to the mechanic working on the bike. They are still trying to locate my key. Everyone was pleasant, but misleading, uninformed and irresponsible. read more

This dealership goes out of their way to make me a satisfied customer. I have been riding HD's more than 35 years and this is the best I have worked with. Brandon in the service department goes above and beyond the expected level of service all the time to make me happy. Recently I purchased bag supports that the HD web site said were black. However they came in chrome. Brandon checked and they do not make those in black. So he sent them out to be powder coated black for me at no extra charge. That is just one example of his level of service. Awesome experience with Parts Department. Had to find a pair of extensions for Tail Light moving. Realized I needed the parts on Friday for a Sunday work with a friend. Visited the shop and told Eric Cortez my problem. He called around Texas & Oklahoma for the part. I was planning to drive to Oklahoma Saturday to get the parts. As this discussion was happening Adrian Martinez came up with an idea. He brought in Mason Landry and the 3 of them came up with a brilliant solution and I got the parts Friday at 5:30. Our motorcycle was just involved in a horrible accident and we had it towed all the way from south Texas to Harley Davidson of Allen, Brandon Waddle in their collision department started the bid and dealing with the insurance adjuster's within 24hours Brandon has completed a very extensive estimate to repair the bike has dealt with the insurance company and has handled everything that we have asked for beyond our expectations we could not be happier with the collision division of Allen Harley Davidson and all of Brandon's hard work, hopefully we will not have to use them for a very long time for any collision work, buy this will be the only place we go to for any of our Harley Davidson needs. read more

It's a great place to go hang and check some awesome bikes, parts, and clothes. They have awesome staff in all departments of service, they've become like family after seeing them so much. I really like going in and buying parts, the guys there are really helpful and great to talk to. They can find you anything you need and know what is compatible with your year model of bike. Nobody just buys a Harley without buying more parts afterwards. Hahaha. They will do everything to make sure you have an awesome running motorcycle. I got an amazing deal on my trade in, and an even better deal on a 2017 custom road glide special. I was not expecting it to go down the way it did. I was more than pleased, and super excited.
