Ultimate (supreme type) large pizza, love a cup n char pepperoni
Marissa N.

Ordered wings n pizza for takeout. Everyone was masked up staff wise. The order was done quicker than expected which was nice. Pizza was good, the sauce is intensely tomato I thought. The wings mango habanero and garlic parm were both crispy and we'll sauced.

Fish Fry
Michelle D.

Went here for a Friday night fish fry. Ordered the petite which was a huge portion and it looked delicious until I dug into it. I had beer battered and it had no taste. I actually put salt and pepper on it to try to give some taste. I then tried to dip in tarter sauce which had no taste either. It was like dipping in mayonnaise. I had mashed potatoes which didn't have taste either so I smothered them in gravy. The lobster bisque is great and I will not be ordering a fish fry again there.

Pub pretzel with beer cheese.
Andrew A.

I'm not writing an exhaustive write up on this place. Service was great, food was fantastic, and location was great aesthetically. Right on the water. They were busy but able to seat us immediately. Had a Pub pretzel, which came with beer battered cheese that was unique. Slammin! Had crap topped haddock. It was very delicious, yet not worth the price tag. Wish the server had offered other sides than the veggies it came with, which were slimy and gross. The twice baked potato it came with was pretty good, but seemed to be missing something. Would come back, just not pay $17 again for the main dish.

Looks like a Very kitschy fishing town. Food was good. Beer was cold and service was good. Try the fish dinner!

Generous portions, reasonable prices, good service, and location near the lake. Beef on Wick is excellent.

Boone & Crockett's Riverside Cafe - A local wood carver's "Octopus" graces the wooden ceiling of Boone and Crockett's in Kent, New York.

B & C's is a typical diner that serves breakfast and lunch. It sits on the shore of Lake Ontario surrounded by docks and fishing boats. The weather on Lake Ontario during our August 2017 fishing trip was dicey. We were antsy while waiting to see if our Captain was taking us out to fish on our last day so we headed to Boone and Crockett's for a quick breakfast. We were surrounded by fishermen waiting for the weather reports... the diner was packed and everyone was friendly! The diner has normal breakfast fare: pancakes, bacon, sausage, eggs, hash browns, toast, coffee, juice, etc. I had scrambled eggs, wheat toast, bacon and coffee. The eggs were excellent (I like my eggs buttery - not dry) - they were delicious! My husband and his friend had eggs over-easy, hash browns, sausage, toast, and coffee. Everyone enjoyed their meals! Our waitress was also super friendly (she must be a morning-person). A local wood-carving artist has a giant wooden octopus (with an eye made out of a glass cabinet knob) suspended from the ceiling next to our table... it is amazing!

When we walked in, another customer was raving about the food and telling us how much we'd enjoy it, which honestly made me feel a lot better about trying somewhere new in an unfamiliar area. The vibe is like a bar turned restaurant, dark and a little moody but not off-putting. My mom even got a cutesy leprechaun margarita, which made her smile. We started with 10 mild wings for the table, my sister got a Caesar salad and said the dressing tasted homemade, and this is where I tried French onion soup for the first time. It was okay, just really salty. My mom ended up finishing it, but I did like that the cheese layer wasn't too heavy. I'm still on the hunt for a French onion that really does it for me. I didn't get pictures of the mains, but my mom and I both got steak, I had mashed potatoes and she got a baked potato. My sister got the fettuccine alfredo and marveled at the flavor. She kept saying you can tell it's a local spot and not a chain just by the care put into it. My steak was good, nothing crazy but you really can't go wrong. The mashed potatoes were a little bland but still edible. My mom loved her meal and finished everything, while my sister and I both had leftovers. The only downside was the service. Our waitress wasn't very friendly, kind of impatient and a little passive aggressive, like we were bothering her just by being there. Given the lack of diversity in the area, it didn't completely surprise me, but it was still noticeable. We didn't let it ruin the night though. Overall we still enjoyed it and I'd go back if I'm ever in Batavia again. Reasonable prices, solid food. Taking everything into account, I'd give it a 6.9/10.

Oh how the mighty have fallen! I remember when this restaurant was opened by "Alex" and it was…read morefantastic. I knew Alex by mutual acquaintance and growing up in the same small town. He was a professional restaurateur who was paid to sit with celebrities at the posh places he worked in South Florida in the 70s. Whatever else is said, the man had high standards in food and dining experience. When he opened, and for years after the place was always packed and very popular. The food was high quality and your meal came with 2 sides, salad, hot bread and nice presentation at a reasonable price. Alex left the business several years ago and the current owner has run it for some time. Today was my first time back in several years. The outside looks dated and needs a refresh. I almost thought it was closed. It was 2:30pm on Saturday before Mother's Day and almost empty. I don't recall it ever not being full of people waiting at the bar for a table. Until today. The decor is ok although I don't care for the fringe lamps directly over your head. I was going to get ribs but decided on 10 oz prime rib ($32.00) comes with 1 side (I chose baked potato - only sour cream and butter is offered). No salad unless you pay extra! The warm bread was fine with two kinds of butter. My companion had the Kids spaghetti $(8.99). My prime rib came out and it looked about half the normal thickness it should be and in a puddle of juice. Even the server commented about why the kitchen did that. And it was warm, at best. No horseradish or other condiments were offered. No garnish on the plate. Just a thin slab of meat. The juice should have been in a separate cup. But the small baked potato was steaming hot! My companion had a giant pile of spaghetti with about a 1/4 cup of sauce on top! Too little for the mound of spaghetti. And it looked like cheap jar sauce and no meatballs. She didn't mind but I wasn't thrilled. And her fountain drink did not come with the meal ($3.99)! I had a lavender lemon drop martini that was ok. ($10). Ultimately the food is mediocre and it feels like they are cutting corners to keep prices down. But that means it's no longer the special place it used to be. Sad.
