This has become our go-to coffee spot each morning. A couple things I love: -They open early. Most coffee places don't seem to open until closer to 7am around here. - staff is SUPER friendly (sometimes a little too much pre-coffee, but I appreciate the effort, nonetheless). - Drive-Thru - most important: Pup Cup (duh) This will definitely continue to be my morning routine and I'm sure my puppy will see to it. I usually get either the Iced White Out w/2 extra shots or Iced Jackhammer (which already has the quad shot LOL). Their loyalty program is something pretty amazing too. I guess there is a point system but I feel like I'm earning a free drink every other week. Absolutely terrible service. We were not able to order at the intercom because the staff went out to the line and started behind us, even though we were sitting at the spot to order. We eventually moved up because the staff kept going to the cars behind us. At the window we told the lady what happened and she did not acknowledge the issue. She only asked what we wanted and had an attitude of dismissal the entire time we were waiting to get out drink. While the drink was of normal caliber, the service was horrendous and killed the atmosphere of us wanting to go back to this location. read more

Yummy coffee and quick service! Went through the drive thru a few times while I was town. I'm a lightweight with coffee, grande peppermint mocha is my go to at Starbucks. This is the second time I've been to this location and have had excellent service both times! The staff is always so friendly and conversational. It makes the experience that much better. We ventured out for a ride on Sunday afternoon and the suggestion was to try Black Rock Coffee. It was okay, just not great. Our order consisted of a large Black Iced Tea and an Iced Chai Tea Latte. The Black Iced Tea was very weak or watered down. My friend had the Chai Tea Latte and said was just okay. We were looking to try something new and take a ride. This location is a long way from our home so we likely won't be back. I wouldn't discourage anyone from trying Black Rock based on our experience. i love black rock, however this location was extremely disappointing. there were so many flies in the building, which was hard to look past. in addition to this, the bathroom was a complete mess, sticky floor, and no soap in the dispenser. i recommend avoiding this location due to sanitation reasons and will not be coming back! read more

Great service and great environment! Stopped in after my urgent care visit to do some homework. Typically I go to coffee rush down the street but wanted to try something new. I got the Mexican mocha iced latte with out mocha and it was really light and refreshing. My son got the cotton candy fuel with out the fuel so pretty much an Italian soda. This place went downhill fast. I used to be here 4 nights out of the week studying and loved the vibe, the baristas were super friendly and the drinks were pretty good. Would have given 6 stars then. Lately the music is louder than a night club so that the baristas are yelling at each other to hear each other 2 feet away. Even if I wasn't studying, the volume would still be way too much (and I'm a drummer). The 17yo baristas are the DJs and play the raunchiest music I've ever heard and I'll never bring my kids back there. On top of that, there is a huge gnat problem and when I asked about it, they didn't seem to care. My last time there I killed 14 gnats, those were just the ones I could catch. Black rock just got an upgrade due to making mobile orders before you get there. No more waiting like previously when I would pulled and told them I was here. They also put in 2-3 x the espresso and have better coffee. Unless it's about convenience, no reason to not got here over dunkin or Starbucks. read more

Location and ambience Is great. Got waited on immediately. However, the drink left a lot to be desired. We normally go to Black rock in Chandler and have an amazing Mexican mocha chiller made with oatmilk and no whip cream. The one here in Scottsdale was extremely diluted tasting. Just read on yelp that other people have the same problem with that at this location. They need to up their game compared to Chandler location. read more

Went in to get a drink for my girlfriend at work. One drink no other orders at the time; just a matcha latte no sweetener with almond milk. Even asked explicitly a second time about the almond milk. Was given a drink that should have been unsweetened with almond milk. Gave it to my gf only to be texted later that it was super sugary and full dairy milk. Drove 45 minutes to this side of town and paid $10 bucks to ruin my night, so if you go here make sure to triple check that they actually made you what you ordered. read more

Great quality drinks but not going to lie I got grossed out by barista making our drinks. Her mask was under her nose. Please tell your employees to do better. I drove up to the drive thru and there was no answer. I said hello several times for many minutes only to get no response. I drove up to the window and asked if something was wrong with their box and was told they turned it off because they only had two people. I was pissed and said I wished I would have known because I sat there for several minutes. While I sympathize with them, I received no form of an apology or a mention of a soluion to prevent the same frustration and confusion for future customers. I really love a good breve and normally drive all the way down to the Village Roastery when I want an occasional treat. Cool staff, nice place, slow internet due to owners in oregon being cheap. They seriously need toilet condoms for the bathroom. You know the seat covers. Bathrooms is poorly cleaned and homeless go in there time to time to shoot up. So owners if you read this install toilet condoms at all your locations and maybe door codes on the bathroom to keep the homeless out. And charge a smidge more to customers for faster internet. Waited 10 min for 2 cold brews with oat milk. Saw the entire drive thru get their drinks before we did, even though we ordered before them. We went in because the drive thru line was so long. We also ordered two of the simplest drinks to make and watched as at least two of the girls did nothing but stare into space. I finally complained and our drinks magically appeared. Terrible service from young girls who don't care about service at all, or they are simply incapable. Either way, get your act together black rock, maybe have someone in charge on shift that isn't 19 and checking her hair and makeup more than the orders that have been placed. read more
