    Apple Fritter
    Long K.

I'd come back here for the salted caramel apple fritter itself; a pull apart pastry with a good balance of not being overwhelmingly sweet. Otherwise I'm struggling to see the most positives here. Scones dominated most of the morning display case; most of which looked dry. The onion and cheddar scone was ok enough for being a savory option, but pass on the peaches and cream one. Service was quick to keep up with the line. There's some group tables inside the small bakery, otherwise nothing wrong with taking it outside with more public tables.

A beloved island bakery and I see why. It's charming, inviting, and provides a variety of traditional and more experimental bakery delights. The staff is always kind. I really like the freshly baked wheat loaf, the chocolate mousse, and their soups. I especially enjoyed the spicy peanut stew earlier this year. The quiche, with its beautifully smooth custard and well-seasoned spinach, is excellent. The cakes are beautiful, I love admiring them. They are very expensive, as is turning bread into toast, which adds a significant up charge. I also love their charming array of cookies for each holiday.

So happy I chose this bakery for my first visit to the island because it was everything I thought it would be, comfy, small window into the idyllic island slice of life, and their thick slice toast WAS indeed delightfully delicious and I got to enjoy it at their cute bay window spot looking out on a perfectly sunny day. With a cup of refreshing iced latte. That was actually good espresso and well made. I love fishing and they had the cutest, most intricate trout sugar cookies that day. Yes I attempted to bring it back in one piece and it kinda survived. I really wished I got one of their store memorabilia shirts or something! The servers were all super nice and friendly despite clearly the crazy morning rush and long line of tourists (myself included).

It was evident this is a well loved spot on the island the cortado and lavender sugar cookie were a great pair.

A cute bakery to enjoy a sweet or savory treat (or few) with a delicious hot chocolate or coffee. Stopped in with a group of 4 while being tourists on Bainbridge Island and had a lovely experience ordering and enjoying our treats. A crowd favorite is the Walla Walla roll and we can all see why. A few things to keep in mind - there can be a line but all staff work hard to keep things moving. The space is on the smaller side so things can feel a little tight between the seating and ordering line. Overall enjoyed our experience and recommend checking them out!

Small comfy beverage and dessert place right in the heart of Winslow street. The customer service is great. Got the eggnog chai latte and the americano. Plus the highly rated french roll and the green onion savory scone. Everything was true to perfection. I would definitely be going again!

We took the ferry today to see Bainbridge. We walked to see the Troll "Pia the Peacemaker" then walked back into town and found Blackbird Bakery. I ordered my usual oat milk latte with 4 shots. And we ordered an oatmeal cookie and a slice of vegan chocolate applesauce cake. I wanted to purchase a loaf of their oatmeal whole wheat bread, but the person ahead of me bought the last loaf! One of the lovely things about this place is their art collection of watercolors by an artist who studies birds. They were fantastic. We try to find vegan options... the oatmeal was not vegan but usually it is pretty healthy. This cookie had a lot of sugar taste... too sweet for us. The chocolate cake was moist and just sweet enough! Not my favorite latte but I think it was just not my favorite expresso taste (this is subject to personal preference). There is a smoothness I've come to enjoy and so I look for it when traveling as compared to my local coffee shop in South Carolina.

Visiting downtown Bainbridge for the day and as the rain really started to come down, I had the craving for a good chai latte. It was closer to closing time so there wasn't a lot of pastry options left, which is a good sign. Their menu has traditional coffee and tea options and I went with their Spicy Ginger chai latte. I was hesitant about the ginger but it tasted so good. Cute shop, no thrills. The staff were really pleasant. I'd come back at an earlier time to check out the bakery options!

We had the Caesar Salad (gave the chicken to the dog-she scarfed it) which was excellent, fresh, crispy, and perfect amounts of excellent dressing. My wife had the Danwich and she was very happy. I had an excellent french dip; the beef was quite tender, the cheese perfectly melted. The pickles are a cut way above, as well. The service was terrific; they are short staffed like everyone is these days, but very friendly and spot on when needed. (If you're in a hurry, go to McD's FFS) Would definitely come back when in the neighborhood; way better parking and less crazy than center by an order of magnitude.

We've ordered Treehouse about once a month for years. Pizza is pretty usually pretty good…read more I always order wings and ask for ranch instead of the default blue cheese. Blue cheese is gross. I'm anti-blue cheese. A hater, if you will. I'm not exaggerating when I say that 50% of the time they still give us blue cheese. Fifty. Half. Coin flip. The worst part is that blue cheese and ranch look similar enough and first blush that the only way to know what I got is to taste it. And half of the time I taste disappointment with the aftertaste of vomit. When I get ranch three times in a row, I'll up my rating to 5 stars. These are my demands.
