Mediocre food, terrible service. I was on my own and sat down at the bar in front of a previous patron's empty glasses and used napkins. Several minutes later, after she was done chatting with her friends and playing with her phone, the bartender cleared the mess, but made no effort to wipe or clean the bar top. I waited 15-20 minutes for my appetizer, and over an hour for my burger, which was significantly less cooked than the medium rare I ordered and sitting on a stale bun. I'd have abandoned the order and paid for my appetizer and left after the 30 minute mark, but once her friends left, the bartender was a rare sight to see actually behind the bar. I'm glad I'm only passing through the area, and if I find myself here again, I'll avoid this place. read more

I am surprised that there are not more restaurants around the Grove City Outlets. Blackout Burger Bar is in a location because it is directly by the outlets - located in a small plaza. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and very clean. I was impressed with the price of the cocktails, and the amount that were available. I was not impressed with the lack of beer and bottom shelf wine that were high priced. We started with the homemade potato chip nachos, which were amazing! Everyone at our table did a "Build your own" which was a cool and interesting touch. Some had chicken, one had bison, I had a veggie. The veggie burger was great. I loved all of the options that were available - and that it wasn't just a frozen patty. I was NOT a fan of the coleslaw, it flavored with so much celery I didn't even want to have it on my plate and have to smell it when I was trying to eat my veggie burger. We came in on a Sunday evening with four adults, a toddler and an infant. They sat us at a table in the middle of the dining room with room for four adults. Two high chairs were squeezed in between us and the other tables that were too close to begin with, let alone add some high chairs. Not sure what the PA fire codes are but this place obviously isn't following them, especially during a pandemic. All of our drinks (water included) took 10-15 minutes to arrive at the table. We were about to cancel orders for sodas and an adult milkshake when they finally showed up at around the 20 minute mark. No one asked how the food was or we would have told them that all 4 burgers were over cooked and over seasoned, the fries were cold and mushy and condiments were neither served nor offered. While we may be from out of town we do have a vast number of family members in the area who we have already relayed this poor experience to. We also visit the area often and will make sure to never return to this spot. It's too bad, it has potential. read more

The young man that is the host at the front door is one of the most efficient professional restaurant employees I have had the experience of meeting in a long long time. This place was absolutely amazing! They have so many options for making your perfect burger with the Build your own burger option. From veggie burgers, to beef, to bison, to chicken or crab burgers. Whatever type of burger you want or didn't know you wanted, you can make. Everything is customizable if you like, think sub shop but with burgers. If you are overwhelmed by the options, you can also select from a curated menu of delicious burgers, sides, salads etc. Everything was fresh and delicious. Although they did accidentally forget apart of our order, a staff member promptly brought it over to the hotel we were staying at across the street and apologized. I also liked that they have outdoor seating. The atmosphere was lively while I was there, lots of people out enjoying the delicious food. Definitely would recommend. I almost wrote this review before I saw their milkshake menu. (That brought it up to 5 stars) They have beer, not just Miller Lite (nice little selection), great burgers, and milkshakes. I sat at the bar and had fast and friendly service. Was here on business and the bartender could tell so he made sure I was aware of everything they offer (drink special, milkshakes, custom burger menu). Overall just very satisfied with the food and the service. I got the "Breakfast Bomb" burger. It was a little soggy, and that's just the way a breakfast burger should be! Sat outdoor on a flawless evening. I stayed in the hotel across the street a few times, and never came to eat here. Usually due to me arriving when they are closed. But if you're staying in the townplace suites, this is a must visit. I did the build your own burger. I got bison w/ house rub w/ pepper jack, mushrooms, romaine, and pickles (bread and butter option- which was cool). It was cooked perfectly to my liking. Fries were thin and crispy, and the server was respectful by distancing and wearing a mask. Highly recommend and I'll be back in 2 months. Hopefully the trump virus will be over. We were told the sides were homemade. I ordered the chips and my husband the coleslaw. I found it odd that they did not use the usual well/medium/rare when ordering. We were told it was something like Red, Pink and Done. I asked what would be considered medium/rare and was told I should order their Pink. We were disappointed with the food and my drink. I could taste no BBQ rub in the burger and it was over cooked to well. The burger was bland and the homemade chips and coleslaw lacked seasoning. The Mojito I ordered tasted off and had to be returned. It was mainly charged water with a touch of simple syrup and the spirits. My hubby and I spent a VERY HOT day at the Grove City Outlets and couldn't get any food at the food court or Primanti's right next door, luckily for us! We found the Blackout Burger Bar just a 4 minute drive from our parking spot! We waited a little while for a table due to social distancing which is understandable, the restaurant isn't too big. When we were seated a nice server took our orders and drinks right away and a short wait later, we had two great meals. The burger was terrific and the fries were perfect. Honestly, the only reason this spot gets four stars was because the abundance of flies outside that were trying to eat our food. Stopped in for lunch after hitting the outlet mall. This place was packing in the main dining area, so I opted to sit at the bar. The decor of the restaurant looks great and the staff is very friendly. I ordered the Bison burger, fries and a beer. The burger came out in about 20 minutes and was cooked perfectly. It's about a 5-6 ounce patty with just the right amount of toppings. The fries were just meh, as they seemed to be your standard frozen shoestring variety and not cooked well. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Upon walking in, I was worried that it was too small and I was going to feel claustrophobic, but it honestly wasn't bad at all. We got a nice big booth and had the best service. Clayton provided us with some of the best service we've had. His attention to detail, filling our drinks when needed, and making sure we had everything we needed was only part of our awesome experience. The food was out of this world. We started with the onion rings, which were huge! The fried pretzels were pretty good too with the chipotle cheese sauce. And if you love ranch, their ranch is so tasty! The dining area was a bit crowded - one less table would make it feel a lot less cramped. We always usually eat at Primanti Brothers when shopping at the outlets but since we got one locally decided to try somewhere new. There was a short wait on a Friday evening around 7 pm, we got a buzzer and in about 25 minutes were seated. We got a nice booth and our server was absolutely excellent, friendly and attentive no complaints at all! We got the deviled eggs for an appetizer, they were good. I got half traditional and half bacon, and I preferred the bacon. I ended up ordering the bacon jam burger and thought it was excellent as well, and the sriracha ketchup with fries. My daughter ordered the jerk chicken sandwich and said it was good as well. Went with the salted Carmel pretzel shake also good. Overall was very happy with the food and service and would recommend! Excellent burgers! It was a Saturday night so we had to wait but the food was well worth the wait. Got Cali burger and BBQ burger. The patties are huge and filling. I wasn't able to finish the whole thing. Also got wings which were deliciously seasoned and topped with Buffalo sauce. They were also quite big and tasty. Ordered takeout, they were out of smoked wings that I wanted, so I opted for a bison burger, created my own with all the toppings I wanted. They have a great selection of toppings. The server that took my order as well as all of the servers there, most of whom I interacted with, were all cool people. Gotta shout out the blackout sauce and truffle aioli, both were amazing. The highlight here, I could not believe it that a burger bar in Grove City PA of all places would be the best green beans I've ever eaten.
