It was a cold, wet, and perhaps deemed by others, dreary day. To my delight, snow was beginning to fall. That's how I saw it, anyways.... The rest of humanity however, well that was a different story: It was Zero Hour of SNOW-DOOMAPOCALYPSAGEDDON...I had planned to get my oil changed that weekend in Elma, following a trip there. No way that was happening, what with people running for their lives clearing off store shelves on account of a few snowflakes falling from the sky, and not having a clue on how to drive in just a couple inches of snow. Travelling over 200 minutes amidst humans like that, along with humans who had probably never seen snow, or even just a few inches of the stuff is just asking for trouble - even if you know how to drive in those conditions! There was also no way I was going to subject my car, and wallet, to Jiffy Lube! On the flip side, having all those scared shitless humans running around, Blade Chevy had a lot of cancellations! (Seriously, you could still see pavement at that point!) Even though they were getting ready to leave, since there were no longer any customers for the day, they stayed open for the ten minutes it took to get there, and have the work done. Everyone was very pleasant and accommodating. Upon my advising, to my dismay, that I had left my phone charging cable in my car, they happily escorted me to my car so I could retrieve it. Service was fast, efficient, and well done. I think I was in the very comfortable waiting room (the comfy chairs even had little swing out tables for your laptop!!!) for maybe 20 minutes. The technician even noted that my PCV valve/breather needed cleaning! This turned out to be a big deal, as after I replaced it, my engine was much happier! read more

Walked into Blade Chevrolet to look at a ct5-v. I've done a lot a research on this car. I had cash in hand. The car was being used by someone at the dealership. Chew cans in the door. Garbage on the passenger floor. Boxes and trash in the back seat. Dirty old golf glove and unknown amount of trash. Very disappointing. The incident made me question the way this dealer operates. Update to My June 7th Complaint After multiple failed attempts to secure a comparable rental vehicle on my own, I finally began receiving traction only after posting my concerns publicly across multiple platforms. That's when I received a call from Tom at Blade, who claimed to be completely unaware that my truck had been sitting there for months -- or that I had been issued a Buick Encore as a rental in place of my truck. To his credit, Tom did manage to secure me a truck rental -- nearly three months after the original issue began. During that call on 6/11/25, he also assured me that GM would cover my truck payments from the date the issue started until I received my vehicle back. However, I remain skeptical, as GM customer service has consistently stated that covering payments is against their "protocol." Apparently, there's still no clear solution for sourcing the part my truck needs. Tom also mentioned on 6/11/25 that the part would arrive within two weeks and that the repair would take only 45 minutes once received. Based on that, he asked me to consider removing my negative reviews since they had now found me a truck rental and were "willing to help" with some payments. I responded clearly: I will not remove anything until I have keys in hand and a check for every truck payment they promised to cover. As of today, 7/22/25, there is still no part in sight, per Tom's latest update. read more

What ever you do, do not take your car in to get worked on. They will scam you. I had a 2014 impala where the infotainment screen was blacking out intermittency. We took the car in to get looked at. They said that the screen needed to be replaced for over $1200.00. They left the diagnostic results in the care. The diagnostic result said that it was a bad usb connection. When I asked them about the usb connection issue, they said that was not the problem and we needed to get the screen replaced. So, like a fool, I had them replace the screen. Two weeks after getting the car back, the screen did the same thing, I took it back in and they supposedly fixed it. Two week later it did the same thing again. I looked to issue up in YouTube. and found a video on how to seat the USB plug. It took me 15 minutes and no parts to fix it. I repeat. Do not have them work on your car. I had to get a refund from Blade RV ; I have dealt with them for at least 10 years ..however after the rude insulting treatment on October 20th at 4:10 pm ; I cannot reccomend this company / Dealership at all. I came in for a refund after waiting since last Thursday , the book keeper at the main dealership was nice thoughtful and really great..professional. The counterperson John , had to go outside and get my refund check... As the Assistant manager from the main dealership would not bring it in. I am Disabled and walk with Cain , stairs are horribly painful. I had to climb stairs moving slow the staff was very intolerant. My returns had been turned in previous week , still no refund check cut. Assistant Manager from the car side of dealership was rude and insulting calling me an " Ass " in front of counter staff. The return check did not have my name correctly printed in fact the name was pulled from a transcript , not my emails or orders with my full name on them. In all ; being insulted by a " little man " , in a big Jeep...( lifted Jeep ) was not fun. I am Disabled , retired and a Veteran...but treated like trash by the young rude man ( Car Dealership side ) in the jeep. Being 65 and bad legs ...using a cane then to be treated like garbage. In the end the Assistant Manager..opened the cash drawer...and THREW the bills and change...Threw this , at me rudely. While waiting for my funds...he kept yelling at me to: " Just get out of here !! " ..before I had my funds returned. Abysmally rude and " Napolionic " attitude. In a word : Ugly behavior. I do not reccomend ever purchasing any parts , or New or used vehicles at BLADE CHEVROLET... My 2021 RV was in there from early September 2023 until mid January 2024 waiting on a fuel pump. I went in every few weeks to check on it, I often felt I was bothering them, not once did they give me an update on parts status. While it was waiting there the battery (No Prorate) went dead, so I had to buy that. In doing that I when I got home I noticed the battery positive post cover sitting down by the frame, they never bothered to put it back on. Not sure why? I also had it winterized, in the process they totally ransacked my bedding to get to the water pump. Steve RV service manager called me cause I complained on their website, saying some homeless person could have got in there and done this. All the time they had the keys. Something else is they left a fuel stain by my fuel fill, not bothering to clean it off. So once the fuel pump was installed, they called me to tell me the "fuel modular was bad" I guess their scanners only show one code at a time. Once that was installed I went to pick it up, I immediately went to put gas in it and it wouldn't go in, so I took it back. Come to find out they have pinched a hose when they put the fuel tank in. I'm not sure what kind of people they have working on our vehicles, but after all this I'm almost positive they have no quality assurance. Pretty sad when you see what they charge. After offering me $250 for my 04' Escalade Trade, which is ridiculous, she offered me an overall OTD price of 25k for the trashy black Silverado. (Which also has major cosmetic damage to the entire driver side of vehicle) Turns out she tried sneaking a discount of $400 for the cracked dash from end to end. I called her out on it and she acted like she never said that. Done!! Went to CASTLE AUTO, where they offered $2200 for the same Trade-In and bought a beautiful TITAN instead. Update: Took my car to Bavarian Autohaus. The entire problem with the car stalling at stop lights/stop signs was a fuel pump. Not something that Blade Chevrolet couldn't diagnose "because it was European". It's a fuel pump. Blade Chevrolet also told me, explicitly that my brakes were brand new and the reason the brake light wouldn't go off was because of a short or a missing piece from whoever put those new brakes in and it wasn't going to affect the driveability. WRONG My brakes were shot - front and back. Bavarian Autohaus replaced all of my brakes and calipers, replaced my fuel pump in less time AND less money than Blade Chevrolet charged me for useless work. To make it even better - they won't even talk about it. Unprofessional. Save your money and time - go to Bavarian Autohaus straight away. read more

I am an essential worker that works nightly 12-hour shifts. When I found what I believed was great deal on a pre-owned car at Blade Chevrolet, I quickly made arrangements to have my afternoon-to-morning shift covered based on my conversation about the vehicle with the salesman. Over the phone, the salesman named Quentin explained they were seeing customers on an appointment-only basis due to COVID-19 governmental orders. I immediately made an appointment with Quentin and drove up to Mount Vernon to test drive that morning. Upon arriving at the dealership, Quentin greeted me (without donning any PPE) and said that "a lady had just walked in 15 minutes ago and bought the vehicle". In a classic bait-and-switch, he explained that he had two other cars to show me. I was speechless. Blade Chevrolet should've honored our appointment or immediately called to cancel once they had sold the vehicle. Instead they chose to put themselves first and customers second. I contacted the manager of Blade Chevrolet, Jon Kowalczyk, prior to writing this review in a naive attempt to resolve the matter. I asked to be reimbursed for the wages I lost that day. All he offered was a trite apology, a series of excuses, and a small sum (typical of what many dealers hand out when soliciting test drives for cash); all of which I declined. Blade Chevrolet will likely reply with what appears to be a sincere response intended to make them seem concerned or willing to resolve the matter. This is simply more disingenuous manipulation designed to win customers over without changing their underlying business practices. The sales person said our payment would be $210 for 10 years (120 months) which we were happy with. We take the trailer home and realized he had LIED TO US on the number of months the contract was for. It wasn't for the 120 months, it was 144 months (12 years). I just looked at the payment and thought it was good. So be very careful with these guys and really look at the number of months they slip in there. We bought a brand new truck from Blade Chevrolet. We gave then a $5k deposit over the phone, paid a $2500 "surcharge", and asked them to prepare the truck. for our arrival. To make a long story short, we arrived, waited two hours because they weren't ready, and finally drove off with our new truck. UNFORTUNATELY they left the new truck in demo mode, and now tell us to deal with it ourselves. Go to your local dealer and spend a few hours dealing with it yourself they say. I need to go to a tire store that sells Continental tires. This even though I purchased the tires from Blade. I will never return, nor will I ever purchase another Chevrolet. I made an appointment online and came in on time on the correct date to be told that the online appointment maker on their website doesn't actually make appointments. Had to wait another week to get my vehicle serviced. I arrived on time for my scheduled appointment to have the customer in front of me who had a later appointment have his vehicle serviced before mine. I also called multiple times to make an appointment and someone answered then hung up on me not once but twice. read more

My wife and I were interested in a 2020 GMC Denali pickup at Blade Chevrolet. We were met outside by a very sharp, friendly young man who told us all about the truck, all the features, all the abilities and all the accessories. Then he let us take it for a ride, explaining more about it as we drove. Thoroughly enjoyed his presentation and knowledge and told him we wanted it. He took the information to his sales manager who wrote it up for us, we agreed on the full sale price and asked if he would include a tonneau cover. At that price he wouldn't but agreed to give us one at cost. We talked to the young salesman later that day to tell him which cover to include and were surprised to hear they sold the truck out from under us! Not happy! The sales manager should have more respect for his salesmen and his customers. If you deal with them be wary of making a deal with the sales manager. When we arrived we found out the car had several custom modifications that Rey had not told us about and that weren't listed online. Rey was very unfamiliar with the car he was trying to sell us, and even asked my boyfriend (the buyer) questions about the car! When we asked Rey questions about the car, finance options, and specifics, his response to almost every question was "Uhhhhhhhhh, I need to ask the manager". He was very unprofessional, knew almost nothing about the car, lied to us, and then had the audacity to tell us we should have "asked more specific questions about the car over the phone before flying in". I'm 2021 our family bought a brand new travel trailer from Blade Chevrolet RV and honestly since we got it there has been nothing but bad service and problems. Our trailer was bought and soon after we realized our trailer had an issues with a slide out. We called the service center and were met with a few responses from various people but overall the theme was that they couldn't help us and the issue was from the manufacturer. The manufacturer issued a fix for our trailer and after just a few months of owning the trailer it was sent back to Ohio where it was "fixed". After a month we got it back and took it camping again. The slide out issue had been fixed but the awnings mo longer functioned. Once again we called Blade and their answer left us questioning why anyone would buy from Blade ever? The result of the call again was not our issue. We recently bought a new Suburban and when looking for a vehicle knew we'd never go through Blade. We went to Everett and have been so pleased. blade is a company that unfortunately does not stand behind the items they sell. They sell items for profit and to make a buck never looking back at the customers and families they hurt along the way. We will never do business with Blade again and just want to warn everyone else that they seem like a nice local company on the outside but are just another company willing to hurt the people that support them. read more

I will never go to Blade Chevrolet again. We bought a new equinox and have always had it serviced there. We were told the tires were rotated each time we went in, well last time I put a chalk stripe on the tire to verify, and sure enough the receipt said they rotated the tires but they were not rotated. Then I figured we would give them one more try. We took the car down for another oil change and to diagnose a leaking tire. They found a nail in the middle of the tread, told us they could not fix it, and suggested we buy 2 new front tires. Now.. I know the dealership is supposed to change all 4 on an AWD vehicle yet they told us that we only needed 2. We left, got the tire plugged at discount who ensured us that we did NOT need new tires. I hope you guys actually read these reviews. This is a problem, since they are undoubtedly charging Chevrolet for services on the cars that are not actually getting done. read more

Last year seemed to go on and on and on. I didn't think it would ever end. Bad luck and sorrow not Only new my Zip code it Knew My Address and phone number too. I'm a Volunteer driver for the senior center and one day I took a lady to the hospital for her MS and cancer check. When I got her home she tried getting out of the seatbelt before i could get around to help. Somehow she pulled the belt over the headrest and got out. I didn't think much of it until I tried pulling it back over. Couldn't do it. Looked it up on the web and found there was a hole in it to push and release but that didn't work. Took it to a shop in oak harbor and was only chewed out for stripping the screw. Finally took it to Blade Chevrolet in Mt Vernon and Jason, the man I spoke to on the phone, came out and we tried getting it over and pulling the headrest off. Couldn't. Frustrated I said I'll make an appointment and bring it in but he wasn't about to have any of that kind of quitting. He called into the service area to ask if anyone was available for a moment. It was St Patrick's day and my luck had changed. He took my suv into the back and about fifteen Minutes later came back. Fixed. And no charge. I wasn't really expecting to trade in my car for a new one at the time I came in, but I was poking around to get a feel for what I wanted when the time came. I worked with Jacob and Josh, as Jacob had just started (I was his first sale). I was initially looking at an older Honda with a lot of miles, and it just didn't work out. Two days later I got a call from Jacob about a 2015 Chevrolet Captiva Sport that they had in. I hadn't mentioned it previously, but I had been eyeing that car online. I came in that day, signed the papers, and drove away with the newest car I've ever owned. I've had it for a month now, and I have no regrets about the purchase. I love my car. But most importantly, I really love the service I received. Jacob and Josh were hilarious, and put up with my smart ass attitude during both of my visits. They answered all my questions, and most of all they were just friendly. Shopping for cars is usually a stressful, overwhelming nightmare. But these two were more like friends than car salesmen. While I wasn't initially planning on trading my car in that weekend, I am glad that it ended up working out that way because I had the opportunity to work with these guys, and now I get the chance to talk them up and send everyone I know their way. First off I'll start by saying that the actual car buying experience was not bad and we are enjoying our new SUV. However, the communication between Blade and us, the lender, and the other departments has been horrible. We were also referred to them, I would not refer anyone in the future. We'll start with the loan process. We ended up setting up our loan with a Credit Union through the dealership. We were waiting to get information from the new lender so that we could cancel our autopay at the previous lender and set up with the new one. After about a week of no contact I decided to contact the bank. They said that they were still waiting on some paperwork from Blade and that they had requested it multiple times. I contacted the finance dept at Blade and left voicemails on 4 consecutive days. On the 5th day I finally heard back and they got all of the paperwork sent out to me. I have purchased multiple cars and have never had an issue with the financing. The next issue: when we purchased the vehicle they said that they only had 1 key fob. They wrote into the deal that they would either find the 2nd one or would order a new one. I figured that they would be on top of this since we just bought a new car and it was in the contract, but sadly no. I constantly had to check with them to see if they found the 2nd key. after a couple weeks they said that they would have to order a new key and said that it would only take 2-3 bus days. A week later I still had not heard from them. I again had to leave multiple voicemails until someone finally got back to me and told me that they thought another department had ordered it. So they would then need to finally order it. The Key fob finally came in after about a month of waiting. They told me that I would be getting a call from the service department to schedule a time for us to come in to get it programed to our car. I did receive a call shortly after but I was at work and missed the call. I called back 10 mins later and found that the person went home, so I left a voicemail. I didn't hear from her the next day so I called and left yet another voicemail saying that I wanted to get this done asap and that I would be available the following week on wed, it was Friday at the time. Monday came and went and I still heard nothing. I called the service dept and apparently there was only this one person that could do this, so another voicemail. I really wanted to get this taken care of on wed because my wife and I had the day off together and one of us could go without kids. So I called wed morning and finally got a hold of her only to be told that the earliest she could get me in is the following Monday...... The appointment hasn't happened yet but I can only imagine that there will be some other issue. Blade offers a lifetime warranty but I have zero faith that anything will go smoothly if anything happens with the vehicle. read more
