My wife and I initially went to go get our wedding rings fixed and have the jewels tightened. They did a great job and Tahir gave an extended guarantee on their repairs. When one of the stones was still acting up, he honored the guarantee with no issues and even gave me a temporary ring to wear while my ring was being fixed. He was very responsive with communication over text message throughout the process. When our initial pick up time didn't work out he even delivered the ring to us personally, and he threw in a wonderful gift with it as well! He also sales watches, watch bands and an assortment of jewelry and accessories. Today when I was in the shop I noticed a number of crosses, which I had not noticed previously. The watch battery warranties are reasonable and affordable. Installation of batteries have been done quickly and with excellence. My hubby thought I might like some earrings they were selling. When I asked why my Seiko stopped working, he said, "I don't know." I asked, "Aren't you a watch repair shop?". Ray said, "It needs to be serviced." I asked, "How much does it cost to be serviced?" I don't mean to sound cliche but these folks are a diamonds...and not rough ones…read more I needed a same day ring appraisal for 3 rings for insurance purposes and I called 8 other local jewelers before finding Matt and Kaitlyn at the Diamond Room in Austin. It seems to be a common theme in the jewelry industry that there's a traveling appraiser that visits each jeweler only once every month or two so it's difficult to get a same day appointment. The Diamond Room gave me a same day appointment and excellent service in their beautiful and private Austin location. But I have to write this review because they went way beyond what I expected. They gave an excellent appraisal of course but also inspected, cleaned and polished my rings. The Crown Jewel is that they use appraisal software that hooks into the top rated jewelry insurance company and my appraisals were automatically connected and within 24 hours my application for a policy was accepted and my jewelry insured. I had already shopped around and the price I was offered was fantastic. And the best part...wait for it...is that I never have to get appraisals every few years. Now that my jewelry is described and documented in the system the appraisals are automatically updated annually. With the price of gold doing crazy things...this is huge...and it saves me a lot of time, effort and money. I'd say that it will actually pay for itself from this day forward. I was shocked and very disappointed as the watches weren't even valued at that yet one of the watches had tremendous sentimental value. I then took them to another jewelry shop and they sent me to Hilderbrand Jewelers. When I brought my watches in the gentleman who greeted me took my watches to the back for evaluation. In a very short time, he came back and told me that both watches could be repaired for $25 each. They just needed to order the parts. I was SO happy!!! My watches were ready in just under a week and I couldn't be more pleased!!! I will take all my watch repair needs to Hilderbrand Jewelers in the future. They also had beautiful jewelry!
