Great service at the bar! She was very personable and knowledgeable about the menu too. The broiled haddock was fantastic with the rice and broccoli. I will return on a summer's night!

They are opened again. Right now just for sandwiches and drinks. Good selection of beer on tap. I had a tuna wrap with fries. Very good. Blue Moon on tap.

Blasi's has become my go to place to grab food when I can't decide on another place to eat. You can't go wrong here. My favorite meal to get here is the BBQ steak tip sub. It has a nice amount of steak on it. It comes with fries and they'll give you a ton of those. When I've dined in, the staff takes good care of me. I've also had some pasta dishes that are good too. I highly recommend coming here to eat. Make sure you end your meal with an Italian ice!

Is blasi's closed? every time I drive by it looks like nothing has changed since the fire. I just tried calling and it said "the number you've called is out of service"

Blasi's suffered a fire and has been closed for approximately a year. We loyal Dorchester folks will wait for as long as it takes to bring this neighborhood favorite back. Sending well wishes to the Blasi family.

Then for a starter we got the risotto balls with had such great flavor, as well as coming out super fresh. We then went with the cheese pizza, drizzled with some sort of pesto and it was so good, the bottom has great undercarriage with no flop - so crispy! We opted out of dessert because we were too full but they still brought us these gingerbread tasting cookies - nice way to finish! Will most definitely be back soon.

My boyfriend loved his corn beef hash- looks small but very filling, rich and flavorful but wish it had more eggs. I didn't love the crostata. I heavily appreciated that the "greens" actually had other vegetables added to them to make it interesting and the potatoes were too crispy for me but that's personal preference. The crostata was good size and I loved the crust, I was just disappointed that it advertised goat cheese and I couldn't taste any. After eating we went inside to look at their pastry selection and they are absolutely beautiful!! We got the cream puff (gigantic and delicious), Nutella croissant (10/10 should get), and the butter cookie which was delicious but wish it was denser. The service truly blew me away and for that we Weill definitely be back to try more things.

We've been here 3 times now and have had the chance to try a bunch of different dishes and we haven't been disappointed yet! Here are the things we've tried so far (as of 2/2026). The Tre - $16.50 (for 3): This without a doubt is one of the best values you can have here! We've tried and recommend the following: - Fried Mozzarella - Nicely seasoned and great flavor. A bit heavy (obviously!). - Crispy Calamari - Also well seasoned and the Calabrian aioli pairs perfectly. - Italian Wings - Juicy and tender! The ranch sauce is also quite good. - Meatballs - Tender, flavorful and not too dense! Caesar Salad - $13.25 - Great price for the amount you get. Their dressing is also made in house and can actually be quite strong, flavor wise. We've found it best to have it on the side and add it ourselves. The first time we had it, it was a perfect amount but the 2nd time it was a bit overpowering when they over dressed it. Mozzarella and Tomato Sauce Pie - $16.50 (small) - Their pizzas here are phenomenal. The charcoal oven is really what makes a huge difference as the flavor it imparts onto the dough is superb. New Haven Original Clam - $21.50 (small) - Great pizza with ample amounts of clams. Would also recommend. Calabrian Stinger - $22.50 (small) - This pizza is quite saucy and very atypical when it comes to a pizza. HOWEVER, the flavor is stupendous with the hot peppers and hot honey. Would definitely recommend but be warned that it's a bit droopy from all the topics and sauce. Rigatoni Vodka - $23 - Great flavor in the sauce. Huge fan of it and would recommend. Do note that we were able to sub our pasta from rigatoni to fettuccini (from the Tagliatelle Bolognese). Speaking of which... Tagliatelle Bolognese - $24 - Great ragu sauce and not too heavy! Very fresh. Sally's Burger - $17 - Good burger but nothing that special. Price is great though. Vodka Parm - $17 - Again, the value is unbeatable and you get a ton of fries with the dish. It's basically a pizza folded in half with crispy chicken, mozzarella and their fantastic vodka sauce. You won't be left hungry if you can finish this! Overall, this is our go to when a pizza craving hits. The vibe here is also great with high ceilings and attentive wait staff. Would 100% recommend.

oh. em. gee. best pasta i've ever had in my life…read more i was looking online for an italian restaurant and this came up multiple times. first off, the interior is gorgeous, plush green seats and antique style. we ordered their special items of the night: lobster risotto and the vodka veal. genuinely the best risotto i've ever had. the people online were not lying when they said their vodka rigatoni was the best. it was indeed very very delicious. even though all of us were full from the pasta, we still had to get tiramisu. it was a perfect way to end the meal. our server was great and attentive, thank you for a wonderful meal.

7/5/26: I stopped by Gigi for lunch around 1 PM on a Sunday, and surprisingly the restaurant was…read morealmost empty. My guess is that this is more of an evening destination where people come for cocktails and the atmosphere rather than lunch. We ordered a Diet Coke, the Scampi appetizer, Carbonara, and the Rigatoni Alla Vodka. The scampi was easily the best part of the meal. It was flavorful, cooked well, and made for a nice appetizer to start things off. Unfortunately, the pastas didn't quite meet expectations, especially considering the price. The Rigatoni Alla Vodka was $28, but the pasta wasn't cooked al dente and felt overdone. The Carbonara, also $28, was disappointing as the eggs had curdled and the dish ended up being much oilier than I expected. At $18, the scampi was enjoyable, but overall I don't think the food justified the price point. One bright spot was the service. Our waitress was incredibly kind, checked in on us frequently, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a very aesthetic design. I can definitely see why it's popular on social media. There is also outdoor seating, which I imagine would be a nice option on a warm summer evening. One thing I did notice, though, is how closely the tables are spaced together. Since the restaurant was mostly empty during our visit it wasn't an issue, but I could see it feeling crowded and fairly loud once the dining room fills up. I was honestly surprised by the meal because Gigi is part of the Mazi Restaurant Group, and I've really enjoyed some of their other concepts, especially Kava Neo-Taverna. Based on this experience, though, I think there are plenty of Italian restaurants in Boston that offer better food and better value for the same price. Overall, I'd give Gigi 3/5 stars. The service and atmosphere were both strong, but the food didn't live up to the pricing. If I came back, it would probably be for drinks, appetizers, and the ambiance rather than a full Italian dinner.

The Bruno family, managers, and staff have always been welcoming, often taking a few moments to stop by and chat. Their hospitality is one of the many reasons we frequent there. Last Wednesday, following my father's funeral, our family held a gathering at Venezia in the back room overlooking the water and Boston. The taleggio was 100% our least favorite and we didn't even finish half. We had asked the waiter to describe taste profile, which they said was a "little funky" and had asked for clarification if it was closer to blue cheese.
