I strongly advise against doing business with this dealership, as they allow their employees to engage in highly questionable and illegal sales practices. Muhamed Nikocevic from this dealership sold me a 2017 Audi A4 privately for $4,900. Exactly one week after I bought it, the car suffered catastrophic engine failure and now needs a complete engine replacement. To make matters worse, the employee engaged in an illegal practice known as "title jumping." Instead of registering the car in his own name, he handed me a title that still listed this dealership as the last buyer. Because of this shady paperwork, the Massachusetts DMV wouldn't let me register the vehicle. Even though the car was already dead, I still had to physically travel back to this dealership myself just to get the title legally transferred into my name. Whether the dealership explicitly endorsed this or just turns a blind eye to their employees selling defective cars using open dealership titles, it reflects terribly on their business ethics. If you buy a car that originated from this lot, expect severe mechanical issues and a massive legal headache. Avoid them at all costs. read more

GM felt bad and offered me an owners loyalty cert. but I'm so far in cc debt from having to charge rentals every other month that I'm stuck in it, something happened to this vehicle there are weird paint splatters like it was in an accident and it was hidden. Overall we were very disappointed with Blasius of Bristol in purchasing a 2019 Mazda CX 5. But things started off well. We liked our salesperson, who was friendly, accommodating and patient. The time after the deal was made, however, was when things became problematic. On meeting with the finance manager, we learned that Blasius of Bristol had a policy that, if you didn't finance the car through their lender, they added a $1,000 non - finance charge. We had planned to buy the vehicle outright but, hoping to save some money, agreed to take out an auto loan and pay it off quickly. But when we expressed concern about how much interest (vs principal) we would pay at the beginning of the loan, we were assured that this would not be a problem. We were told that an auto loan, and I quote: "...is nothing like a home loan." According to them, by far most of the total monthly payment would go toward the principal. However we soon learned that auto loans are very much like home mortgages, very heavily skewed toward the interest part of the payment, with very little going to principal, toward actually paying off the loan. We know what they told us. Both my wife and I heard it. So despite their denials about what they said they told us, we feel that we were misled by their false reassurances. Another unsavory experience took place around the purchase of an extended warranty. The sales manager initially quoted us a price of $2,900. We declined, but they soon slipped in that "maybe" we could take advantage of their own "employee discount" and get the warranty for only $1,900. The price was better, of course, but the technique of first trying to gauge us for a higher price, then dramatically lowering it in hopes of salvaging a sale - rather than just offering us a fair deal up front, was, to put it generously, distasteful. Sadly, from then on, we knew that we were in the hands of a stereotypical used car salesperson. There were more "shenanigans" that they tried regarding our efforts to cancel the policy within the window of rescission, but I won't go into them. All of the above notwithstanding, our main problem with Blasius of Bristol is simply that they sold us a defective and poorly prepared car, a car that, from the moment we owned it, has never been right. In the beginning the ABS light was flashing, an obvious safety issue. Blasius of Bristol couldn't fix it and so we had to arrange, ourselves, to bring it to a Mazda dealer. There, the repair team was surprised to discover badly worn engine belts, that had either been overlooked or deliberately passed over by Blasius of Bristol. Again, our safety was threatened. Then, within days of receiving the car back we discovered that our transmission was making a "chirping" noise upon upshifting. To be honest, it may have been "chirping" when we drove the car off the lot in the beginning, but we weren't used to the sounds a "new to us" car might produce. Once again we had to make arrangements to return the vehicle to the Mazda dealership. Mazda quickly determined that it needed a complete transmission replacement. In response to our complaints Blasius of Bristol has issued the "boiler plate" reasoning that all cars have problems, many of which cannot be foreseen. While this is true to a point, they cannot explain away the fact that our car was defective from the start, was not properly prepped for sale and from August 9, 2023 to present (October 20, 2023) has been un-drivable. We were very fortunate that the car still had time left on its power train warranty and that the Mazda dealer generosity provided us with a loaner vehicle. However this does not take away from the multiple negative experiences we had with Blasius of Bristol or from the fact that they sold a defective to us. Please be cautious when you anticipate buying a vehicle from Blasius of Bristol. Have the car you're interested in pre-inspected by someone you trust. Be aware, in the event that you want an extended warranty, that the first price you will be quoted may, as in our case, be quite inflated, in the hopes that you might "fall for it". Needless to say, we would not buy a COCA COLA, from Blasius of Bristol, let alone another vehicle. If you do proceed with them, please do so very carefully. BUYER BEWARE! read more

i bought a used 2015 bmw i8 from this dealership on march 11 2024, on march 15 2024 a drivetrain malfunction light came on, upon further review the car was sold to me with 24 total faults, and a bmw dealership quoted me for over $5k worth of repairs. i was told the car had no problems they also added $1750 to my service contract and when i found it and called them out, they claimed "it was a mathmatical error" and they would cut me a check. Everytime i call to get an update or remediation for the car repairs...The manager Jim hangs up on me. Eventhough the car was sold "as is", state law in ct requires used "as is" vechicles to have no issues within the first few weeks. Not to mention they defenitly knew about these problems, because the sales associate said they scanned the car before i bought it, but then the manager claimed they dont scan cars they sell unless a light is on. Honestly, buying my car from this dealership has been a nightmare and I'm still dealing with it almost a year later. I bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee March 2023. The screen wasn't working also the heated seats and heated steering wheel. They stated they would fix all of this thinking it was related to the screen. I didn't think it was a big deal. I brought my car into their main store in Waterbury in April my car was there until July for just the screen issue. When I finally got my car back the screen was fixed but the heated seats and heated steering wheel STILL DIDN'T WORK! AND the check engine light was on at this point. So I called Brian (salesperson) immediately. He asked who my local Jeep dealer was so he could call and get me an appointment, which he never did I ended up having to do it because winter was coming and I wanted it fixed. I wasn't able to remote start the car with the CEL. Also filling up the gas it would click off unless held a certain way. At that point I wanted to sell them back the car so I could get them a new one which they said they could only give me some of the money I was still going to be $8k-$10k on negative equity. For a car I only drove for about a month before going in the shop from April to July. Brought the car to Gengras extended warranty declined paying so I called Blasius and Gengras also called and was given the run around for weeks. At one point they tried to put the blame on me for bringing my car to Gengras until I read back the texts between Brian and I where he told me to go to my local Jeep dealer. Finally I showed up with my dad where they agreed to pay for it but only ended up paying the diagnostic for heated seats and heated steering wheel, not the CEL or gas issue. I had to pay the diagnostic out of pocket. And again heated seats and heated steering wheel STILL AREN'T FIXED! Now today May 2024 a year later I get a letter in the DMV for late emissions fee. I call to see why this is being I got the car last year and it should've went through this already. I was told that the car failed emissions in February 2023 was supposed to get fixed and tested again by April 2023. They sold me the car in March 2023. So they sold me a car that failed emissions one of the things being the fuel system which I paid to have fixed. I went to address these issues they were very nonchalant and basically told me there wasn't much they can do if it failed again.
