    I filed a police report. A complaint with the attorney General in Ct and the Department of motor vehicles. Called Toyota HQ to complain. No satisfaction. It still aggravates me that after years of being a loyal customer, after purchasing 4 brand new vehicles there, after only bringing my car there for service they could be so negligent. Not caring to take responsibility for the damage they caused. I have to pay $1300 to have my bumper replaced. I blackened out their name under my license plates. And take heed. There are many other Toyota dealerships that I am sure would have stood by and did the right thing. I will never do business at Gale Toyota again and I hope you will not go there either. Buyer beware. Because as the lady from the DMV told me....companies could Care less about customer loyalty and Gale Toyota proves that point.

    proceed with extreme caution at this dealership. we were quoted a fair price on a used vehicle through yaritza via email. handed off to paul c. who offered via email to honor the price even though the manager raised the price. next day, he said the car was "long gone." next day did another online inquiry and surprise the car is still available. they lied and said it was going to auction. we put a deposit, drove 90 miles to test drive. gale toyota then lowballed our trade AND refused to honor the price quoted plus tried all sorts of cheesy sales tactics including financing through them. we walked away. save yourself some time and aggravation. if you value honesty and fair dealing, this is not the dealership for you. Edited to add - five days later and the car is still on their website.

    Yaritza Flores was able to find me exactly what I wanted in a year with a death fury's and a chip shortage. Lia could not do it. I am very very grateful for her hard work in finding me my RAV4 Prime in Metallic Grey/black with my silly extended moon roof for my child. Another person there Maryln Ortiz did all the paperwork with my accountant and made it happen. The reason for four stars instead of five is because of the lady who tried to sell me the gold/copper whatever plan. I hate the good cop bad cop thing but seriously. You get the sales people telling you good things about the SUV then as soon as you buy it you get these gold plan people telling you it will die on you. Also she got really annoyed that I did not give a rat's ass about her silly gold plan and I'll tell you like I told her. Logic is her enemy. Ok, I researched the crap out of suvs before I decided on one. So I know the odds of the electrical system dying on me and that is why I was not at VW. So the woman says her plan gives you piece of mind. It does not, the vehicle does. She tells you that her papers will stop you from worrying. It won't the safety test do. So if you are interested in what she is selling I would get a different vehicle from another manufacturer. Honestly that's all her talk makes me want to do. If I actually believed anything she said I would have taken my check and gone down the street to Honda.

This past Sunday, my three-year-old son and I went to return an unused car battery that we had originally paid for in cash. The clerk initially said they didn't have enough cash to process the refund and suggested coming back another day. I offered alternatives, including using my debit card, and was told there was enough cash in the store but that it had to come from one register, which is why they said the refund couldn't be processed. I also offered to drive to another nearby store within reason if that would help, but was told that was not an option either. When I asked to speak to a higher-level person, that individual's response was, and I quote, "Just give him the money and get him the F#%$ out of my store!" This was said in front of my child and another parent with a young child waiting in line. The refund was then processed in less than a minute. About 30 minutes later, I called the store to follow up calmly and express my disappointment. I was told I could be put on hold until the manager was available. I waited a day to see if anyone would reach out before posting this, but did not hear back. The use of harsh profanity by management in front of young children crossed a line and is completely inappropriate in a customer-facing retail environment. Otherwise, this is a store I regularly visit without issue.

    Good service department / bad experience with sales…read more I've had good experiences with the service department and plan on trying them more in the future. Jesse especially is super friendly and great to deal with. In the past I've had a pretty bad experience with sales: I was interested in purchasing a car from Lia Honda of Enfield, but they didn't have the color I wanted. As I was thinking about whether or not I liked the in-stock color, the salesman told me that his manager told him that the color I wanted was coming in that week. So, I put down a deposit but refused to sign a purchase agreement until I saw and drove the car. We all agreed. I found that we had miscalculated some numbers so I called to renegotiate the price over the phone. After some hesitation (understood) they agreed. Great! But then I received a call that they were not going to be able to get the color I wanted and they offered a lower price to take the in-stock car. I declined and asked to have my deposit refunded and they agreed. So far, not so bad. However, after a few days with the refund not posting and a couple of phone calls not being returned, I finally got in touch with a sales manager who told me that they hadn't processed my refund yet and he said, "Since you didn't keep your end of the deal, I'm not inclined to make this go any faster for you. You came to us looking for a car." I was pretty blown away by that. He also told me that no dealer would do a car locate without a signed purchase agreement. When I told him that I was doing that currently with another dealer, he said that couldn't be possible. (I now own the car I want) In all fairness, after estimating the refund being processed in a week or so, they did process it that day. There are several other dealerships in the area that provide much better customer service. Shop around.
