Went to Blast and Brew quite a few times. Good atmosphere, good food and drinks. Customer service is good as well.

My wife, Laurie, and I love this place... Usually go here once a week (or more). We went there yesterday as usual and had a great time. I have to admit I'm disappointed. They took the chipotle shrimp tacos off the menu because I used to have it all the time and they were great. Having said that, all of their food is good. We love the service in this place, especially Erica. Laurie submitted a review a few days ago, but I wanted to jump on the band wagon because I'm a big fan. All of the servers are great, but Erica rocks. We like to have date night there because the ambiance is casual and comfortable and they make us feel like special guests. read more

I haven't even had food yet so I can't comment on the food but within the first 10 minutes I can say the service here is TERRIBLE. The manager was extremely rude. She would NOT let us order for our family and made sure we "ordered by table" which for a party of 16 didn't make any sense at all. She was insistent and even made sure the waitress didn't collect "call out orders" which only made everything more complicated. For the lack of flexibility and her inability to accommodate the customer I give this place a 1 star. read more

We love this place!! We come often for the ambience, service...oh yeah and the food. The friendly folks keep us coming back. We have always gotten excellent service here, but today Erica was a superstar. She's extremely personable and incredibly attentive. She keeps a close eye on our needs no matter how busy she is. She always makes time for a little personal conversation, and she genuinely cares. I am not family or personal friend...just a customer, but if I were an employer I would be proud to have her on staff. If I were a competitor I would try to steal her. read more

The food isn't bad. In fact, I'm severely disappointed while writing this review because this is my go to spot for quite a few dishes usually. HOWEVER, when I run into a problem with service and it affects my family member that has a health issue... I can no longer support the business. PERIOD. If a dish is served with items on it that were requested to be removed due to an allergy, you would expect that request be honored with care. If the allergens are on the plate and you address the issue with the staff (in the nicest manner possible) but you are met with resistance, an attitude, and sarcasm... and the manager reacts in the same manner? The food at Blast and Brew is amazing. The staff are friendly and attentive. When we go to Blast and Brew, we feel at home. Blast and Brew is a very comfortable place to eat and enjoy live music and good company. The general manager (Hung) is amazing. Well just to let you know if we receive bad service one more time we won't have Blast and Brew on our "where are we going" list. There are two other tables, we've been waiting over 40 minutes for a quesadilla. The waitress finally came over and explained the first one burnt. Now waiting 10 minutes and she brings out a pizza. Which we didn't order. We ordered a quesadilla. Again unbelievable. She's a nice person, going out to eat is so expensive that I would appreciate a passable experience. While we didn't spot one our favs, Blake, dynamo Dani won our hearts and made a double lemon drop that spoke to the soul. I came here on a Saturday afternoon hoping to get good food and a nice place to finish studying. This place did not disappoint! They have free WiFi which allowed me to get some work done. There was lots of booths open, various flat screen tvs, and kind staff. I was surprised by the many options on the menu, and I only expected to see beers and burgers (there wasn't a variety of dishes pictures posted on Yelp). The waitress is sweet and she knew it was my first time dining here, she helped me navigate the menu and choose the what I wanted. I ordered the Ahi (poke) Nachos to start, it was soooo good! The crispy wonton chips were evenly layered with all the toppings, and lots of sauce, just how I like it! I ordered the Combination style pizza and it as delicious! I was shocked by the size because I wasn't expecting it to be so big hahah they were happy to give me a pizza box for leftovers. I ordered the Mai Thai margarita, but it lacked flavor and fell flat like a pre-mix drink. I was assured it was not, and my drink was replaced with something more exciting! Great place to come for food and drinks and the occasional live entertainment. Service has been decent each time we have gone. Food is nothing spectacular, but it's pretty good. Nice variety on the menu. Specialty margaritas have been really good. Live entertainment is super fun, although if they could turn the speakers down just a little it would be better. Some of the speakers sound either blown or can't support the volume so it's just not enjoyable. read more

While they've only been open for a fairly short time, the staff has quickly settled in and is working well at keeping the customers served. The menu has a great variety of food selections and their Mon-Thurs specials are solid and very reasonably priced. The pizza is solid and goes perfectly with their house beers. We've also enjoyed their smashburgers, carnitas tacos, shrimp quesadillas and the tri tip sandwiches. The prices are very good and I can't think of another location in town where you can take a family of 4 to and walk out for under $50, before tip, for dinner and drinks. Just what Atascadero needed for family style dining in a brewery setting with a full bar selection. For the negative reviews, most are from right after they opened and there were definitely the typical issues that affect a new restaurant, but those seem to have past. In fact, I've only had one issue since and that was a server who seemed to be in a hurry to close us out even though we were only halfway through our meal, I told her I wasn't ready for my bill and it was only 6 pm on a weeknight. Since that incident, I've avoided her and I've had very good service from the other servers, hosts and managers. Give it a try and decide for yourself! read more

We love this place and go often. I mean you can't really beat their lucky lunch special and the food is great! The service is always hit or miss but mostly great service. We had one little issue a couple weeks ago. They advertise a closing time on their door, online, google and it's not true. We were so stoked to go get a late night bite (8:45pm) on a Friday and online said they were open until 10... wrong. They close their kitchen at what do you know, 8:45. Maybe make some adjustments to your advertising of hours! Just a suggestion. read more

Was on our way for our 7pm reservation for my best friends birthday for 20 people and we were called at 6:54pm being informed that they could no longer accommodate our reservation due to issues. All of us were literally outside about to come in. It was very disappointing to have made this reservation a month ago and have it cancelled minutes before and need to find a new place for 20 people. read more

My husband and I have been there twice. The service was a bit slow , but I can understand why there may be a reason for that. I do love the ambiance, the full bar ( thank goodness) and I can watch football no matter what angle I sit! However, after the first time we ate there , I was ill after eating a salad which delightful going down , not so much coming back up. Ok a fluke whatever.... The second time my husband had the Mac and cheese. After approx 30 minutes, he excused himself and I found him vomiting in the parking lot. Coincidental? Not so much. SO delicious. I have never even stepped foot in the building but we have ordered this for pick up and to go five times in the last three weeks! The food is absolutely delicious, from the barbecue chicken pizza to the tater tots, to the chicken and rice bowl to the burgers. Wow!! What an amazing new space in town!! Food was exceptional, huge varied menu for every pallet, service was very attentive, especially for how busy they were! And the live music was fantastic!! I've been a half dozen times already and had the coconut shrimp appetizer, perfectly crispy with a phenomenal zingy dipping sauce. The steak salad was wonderful! Giant pieces of steak cooked to perfection. Tots are totally on point! The cowboy burger was delicious, onion rings super crispy and have also tried a cup of chili that was very tasty with just the right amount of heat. Tried a take out Me N' Ed's Pizza-Italiano with artichoke hearts and it was definitely worth all the hype!! BOMB!! And lastly dessert!! The bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream and Carmel drizzle was simply to die for!! It has little crispy edges that just put it over the top!! I took 5 family members to dinner at Blast and Brew for a birthday celebration. The 6 of us ordered and 5 of the dinners came in a reasonable time. The 6th didn't arrive until at least 20 minutes later. My granddaughter had to sit with no food in front of her while my other grandkids ate their dinner. This really is unacceptable. If there were to be this kind of delay we should have been immediately advised and allowed to make an alternative selection. I can only assume this is Blast and Brew's way of telling me that they don't need me as a repeat customer. read more

I have been to this location a few times now and really would love to LOVE this place. Let me start off with the good. The food is great! Their prices overall are average but have weekly deals. Good wings, sandwiches and pizzas. The food is what's brought me back. The bad... The service is dreadfully slow, and frankly poor. I've gone in on a few nights that seemed on the slower side and there is hardly anyone on the floor checking in on people. I watched other tables experience the same thing. The food took forever. And overall the visit just felt uncomfortably and unnecessarily long. Had to wait far too long for everything, server was nowhere to be seen. Last thing, self pour wall was covered in flies. Definitely needs to be checked and cleaned more often. I would love to come back and enjoy this place more often, the vibe is great! I just can't see myself going back unless I have lots of time to waste waiting :( read more
