We were kinda desperate for somewhere to feed us so we were very happy when they said they could seat us. It was later around 8:30 on a Friday evening and we were hungry after a walk. We were able to get paid street parking down the road. A couple places had very long waits and were closing soon. The host at Blaze was so kind and was able to seat us! We were so happy! Inside had a lot of seating and also had a nice patio. The menu has a variety of pizza and other entrees. I ordered the fish tacos and loved them! They really hit the spot! Left so full and content and so happy they gave us food. I thought prices were very fair and the amount of food was good. Yum!

Love Blaze! We make our way here every Bar Harbor visit and recommend it to others nearby. When it gets cold and rainy, they do shield the restaurant. It's nice but smaller, so you may encounter a wait but they clear tables quickly to get folks in and out. They also have 2 large bars available, and we've found it easier to find open seats there. The servers are always friendly with good recommendations. Large selection of beer available on tap with a full bar selection; you will find something you like here! The food? It is terrific and everything comes out with that smoky, wood fired flavor. Yum! Yesterday, we started with the bacon wrapped scallops (with blueberry sauce). OMG so good! I got the wood grilled lobster, which was so delightful and somehow manages to be completely different from all the other lobster options around town due to the grilling. Terrifically delicious! My husband got the burger, which he said was super good too (he's not into lobster). Blaze is probably our most consistent stop around town, and there's a reason why. It's worth a visit.

We came here for a last minute lunch decision and we were very surprised by how good it was. We've been in Bar Harbor for 6 days and I have tried 3 different fish and chips from different restaurants, and these were by far the best. Our server was very friendly and checked on us multiple times throughout our lunch. We sat outside, and the overall atmosphere and location was very great. We could hear the live music from the Ivy Manor Inn, and it was great.

The food is pretty good, and the ambience isn't terrible, but my server was very clueless and not attentive. The prices are also quite high. Overall, it's not my top choice for a restaurant but it's fine. PS: I don't recommend the chicken sandwich, for it contained a piece of chicken the size of a playing card and the buffalo sauce was horrendous.

Came for Mother's Day with my husband and toddler and we were seated right away. I ordered the fish tacos, and my husband and son split the poutine. The fish tacos were some of the best I've ever had! This was such a chill place to spend mother's day. It's cozy with good service, and we will definitely be back!

Everything you see is off the charts! Caesar made in house, mussels super yummy, fries w/duck fat perfection and don't deny chowder!

My wife and I had lunch here and she absolutely loved it! She's not even a big pizza person but it worked for her. For me, it was very good wood fired pizza (not my go-to style). She raved about the cheese and dough. She also had a slice of blueberry pie that was allegedly amazing. It's Bar Harbor, prices are high and this place is on par with the area.

Blaze was very good. So good we went twice. We enjoyed there pizzas and the staff was friendly. Despite being busy night they sat us quickly and served food quickly as well. i really enjoyed the chowder to start. It was perfect for a cool fall night. I would recommend Blaze. Good choice for a casual dinner or lunch.

Delicious food and great bartender! Perfect for a relaxing lunch in Bar Harbor. The gluten free pizza was one of the best I've ever had. The bartender, Sam, was awesome. Perfect dog friendly atmosphere.

Atmosphere - Just OK. To be honest, I would ding the restaurant for this category if the food and service was not so great. We sat outside on a very narrow patio that runs along side of the building. The tables were crammed in so much that it made the dining experience less than enjoyable. Service - Excellent. I can't say enough good things about him. He was friendly and very attentive. Food - Excellent. I ordered a cup of the lobster bisque and the fish n chips. The soup was absolutely delicious. The broth tasted amazing and there was so many pieces of lobster that if there were any more it would have been considered stew. The fish was a lightly breaded haddock that was deep fried but not greasy. The piece was huge. I had told myself that I was not going to be able to eat the entire piece, but it was so delicious I nearly finished it off. The beer selection is huge. I had a hazy IPA that was very good. Overall Value- Excellent. This is a tourist town and so prices are high. However, given the large portion, quality food and great service. I would definitely recommend this restaurant

We were lucky to get a nice seat outside and enjoyed looking through the beer menu. There are so many choices I had trouble deciding. In the end, I chose an amber ale and it was very good. Our server was great and provided input and suggestions. The menu has a variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. I settled on the 1.5 lb. grilled lobster, which came with fingerling potatoes and broccoli. The food came timely and was nice and hot. The lobster was cooked perfectly and since they split the body for me, I only had to deal with the claws. Overall everything was perfect.

Blaze is one of I think two restaurants open during off season. We had pretty high hopes for this place. I ordered the wagyu burger with a house salad. The burger was great, a little too thick for me but it was a 1/4 lb of meat. The salad had some type of home made dressing but I wasn't a fan. My boyfriend ordered the duck fat fried haddock. He ended up getting really sick, but I think it was a combination of things. The fish was cooked prefect, however I think having duck fat fries, duck fat fish, and a local beer he wasn't used to resulted in an unhappy ending lol. Back home, we don't use duck fat at all so it was definitely an acquired taste type of thing. All in all, the bar tenders were nice, the service was quick and the food for the most part was good.

Best sour beer I've had I think ... ever. The blueberry sour is out of this world. The pizza was also delicious. The wait for food to come out was astronomically long and I'm not sure if that was just because of a busy night or what but there wasn't much explanation given as to why. Either way service was very nice!

We waited over an hour for a large half-pepperoni, half-cheese pizza. The burger and fries we ordered came out in about 30 minutes, but the waitress bringing out the burger said the pizza was coming. Twenty minutes later we inquired again, only to be told they were backed up. We got that message from the 50-minute wait, but when people who ordered pizza after us, received their pizza before we did, we knew this place had issues. When the lady finally brought out the pizza, she was like, "sorry," but big deal, by then the damage was already done. They made no efforts to make it up to us, especially considering we had waited so long. Very disappointing. They really didn't care about our two han-gry (hungry and angry) kids who really wanted to eat that pizza. The restaurant had a fairly steady flow of customers ordering, but it was not crowded or overwhelming. People enjoyed food and drinks around their tables and watching the big screen televisions with trivia and sports updates. Nobody was at the pool table. After waiting so long, my son was trying to be optimistic and said we should play some pool, since no one was playing. Then he saw the big sign that said only 18-year-olds and older, no exceptions! Needless to say, we were sorely disappointed with this experience. For a Monday night, where the pace was not very busy or unmanageable, this should not have been that hard to make a pizza in less than an hour. This was ridiculous. As a result, I do not recommend this place, especially if you have kids. Check out the other pizza places in town and save yourself a lot of time and frustration ... or order your dinner at lunchtime.

The view? Lovely. The vibe? A little... off. The place has that "it could be nice if someone cared just a bit more" feel -- not bad, just lacking that spark (or maybe a good interior refresh). My husband, on his noble quest to sample every lobster bisque in Maine, declared this one the worst of the trip -- and trust me, the man takes bisque seriously. My beet salad with picked lobster was actually quite good, fresh and nicely balanced, which saved the meal from total disappointment. Service matched the décor -- polite enough but not exactly engaged. It had that subtle "we're doing you a favor" energy, which really pairs best with... no one's martini. Speaking of which, I had to remind our server to actually add the olives to mine. Small details, big impact, friends. In conclusion: go for the view, not the vibe. There's potential here, but it needs a little love -- and a lot more attention to the bisque.
