I don't like to give bad reviews. Unfortunately, yesterday's experience warrants it. The way they call you to pick up your order is a disaster. Yesterday, Friday July 30th, it was extremely busy. I got a build your own, my husband got the meat lovers, (very skimpy on the meat, much better to customize imo). When I heard them call my name, only the meat lovers was ready. Then we waited several minutes and finally heard my name again. My meat, tomato, onion and mushroom pizza somehow turned into just pepperoni and jalepenos. It said "Adrian" on the paper just like the meat lover's I ordered. We brought it back because it wasn't my order and after waiting several minutes they told me to cut back in line and re-order mine. It was crowded and awkward to do this. When my pizza finally came out, it was great tasting. My husband's pizza was cold by then. We probably wasted 40 plus minutes here and missed our movie. We came here for a quick bite and left frustrated and disappointed. The staff was extremely hard working. The biggest problem is the poorly designed pick up counter. Also it was so overcrowded, which was concerning. read more

What is there not to love?! You can custom make your own pizza for one price and put as much toppings or as little toppings as you want. They have multiple dough options, regular thin crust, thick crust, and gluten free crust. Which is nice you hae more crust options than most custom pizza places. And you have multiple sauce options and countless other topping options. The pizza comes out quickly after it's cooked. In the mean time you can enjoy a delicious cup of aqua fresca. All the flavors are just as awesome as the pizza. I highly recommend the Blood Orange and the Mango! They also make a variety of salads which are also very good. I would recommend this for all those non pizza eaters or even just as a starter to your pizza dinner. They definitely thought it through and have a lot of half pizza size boxes so you can eat half and take the other half home! The staff is super friendly and inviting. They are very helpful as well. The parking here is great, and there is outdoor seating for those rare nice weather days in Texas. There are high top seating and tables inside. Compared to the dallas location this place was disgusting. Food was burnt to a crisp, almost black. Customer service was even worse. I kindly asked if they had a mobile order ready and the worker (tattoo on his left hand) looked at me and ignored me the first time. I asked again out of confusion and he said "name". I told him the name and he didn't say a word so I just stood there. He ended up handing me the food and I took it and just had to assume it was mine. If you don't want to work then don't work. Finally made it out to Blaze Pizza seeing as this is the only one in Austin and they do a $3.14 Pi Day deal. It's a bit of a drive from my house but for that cheap of a pizza, why not? The app gave me problems so I couldn't order in advance. Staff was friendly in helping me out, though it was hard to remember the toppings I chose without a list in front of me. My pizza ended up different than the one I had spent time creating online with their now deleted app. Pizza came out pretty fast, but it just wasn't great. It was a super thin crust pizza and with all of the toppings it was a mess to eat. Taste wasn't amazing, some of the ingredients weren't as good quality as you'd get elsewhere. Was also bummed to not have a few options I would have liked, like blue cheese or green peppers, for example. For $8.95, I guess it's an OK place, but I like Blaze's competitors better. read more

Horrible. The dining area was nasty. The line to complete making the pizzas was dirty. There was cross-contamination. The place were the guy was putting the pizzas inside the oven and taking them out was DIRTY. I will not even mention the bad customer service. The three (3) people working this shift need supervision. They were not at all concerned with how they talked to people. The need to clean. Tried this place two weeks back, if you have tried MOD pizza, it's similar to that, thin crust and you choose your sauces and toppings. I kinda enjoy everything about this place. What a fantastic concept...build your own pizza and not have to get financed for a downpayment because you were nickel an dollared to death for any extra toppings! Speaking of toppings, they are ALL good here! Fresh and plentiful and you can put on as little or as much as you want, everything is really made to order. And I love that for the indecisive folk they have pre-designed pizzas that you can have as is or remove/add as you see fit. I had the BBQ chkn pizza and it was divine! I added black olives, pineapple, extra drizzle, and the sea salt to make it all my own. The set up here is great as well and very very efficient! There is an assembly line and each person is kind of in charge of their own little toppings section and they pass it on to the next and before you know it, your pie is hitting the flames and you've already paid at the register. Then when your name is called you grab your handiwork and either dine in or carry out. Easy-peasy! Everyone here has a smile on their face and are so nice! They happily explained the process and check in on you if you are dining in if you need anything and even bus your table! They have a tip jar by the register, so I was sure to show the happy hard workers here some monetary appreciation. I also really liked their blood orange lemonade! Tried this pizza during a Yelp event, it is the new trend of "Make Your Own Pizza". The last one I tried tasted a bit like cardboard, not so here. As you make your way through the counter line, the menu above that area. You will notice they have a few select "Designer" pizza you can chose or select ingredients of your own choosing. I selected the Green Stripe with changes. No red peppers, extra garlic, drops of gorgonzola, and a must have Drizzle of pesto. Paid at the end of the line and get my drink cup. Around the corner is the drink machine where the To Go boxes are at your disposal. Very convenience. Within a few minutes of finding a table, they called my name. Pizza is ready. The crust was crispy, the topping so fresh, and the Pesto just brings it all together. I have come back a few times and always get the same. I must try something different. Pricing is ridiculously cheap. I have yet to finish an entire personal pie. My only complaint, the chairs hurt my butt. Too hard read more

This blaze pizza is not the cleanest that I've been to. We moved here from Dallas nine months ago and decided to stop over since it's close to our temporary apartment. I felt like we were being shuttled across the line very quickly and there really weren't any clean tables to sit down I wish that I could say differently but I just didn't feel like anyone on the line really cared that we didn't understand the differences in all of the different crusts etc. They really need to keep their tables and condiment tables/drink station clean, especially during this time! read more

Pizza was good, we can taste the difference in the mozzarella cheese and Italian sausage. Bad part is the service, slow in finishing up our order despite the concept of being blazing fast. My family and I have been eating at Blaze for a good amount of times now over the past several months. The quality is consistent and reliable, their COVID-19 procedures are on point, and the staff are friendly, energetic, and well-trained. I've only had one incidence where my order wasn't taken correctly, but it was still a delicious pizza overall. I like that the crust is thinner and crispier and that the pizzas cook so quickly. The value is decent too. I always get the build your own pizzas and throw a bunch of different toppings on there. Olive oil and arugula are a must. It also still tastes great if I decide to freeze and retoast the leftovers too. I'm happy that Austin has Blaze! read more

Fast, easy, quasi-friendly service. This spot is close to work, so it makes for a decently easy whip-in/whip-out spot for my lunch break. The set up is relatively straightforward. Basically, you build a pizza or select a suggested pizza style and build on it as they take you down the row of ingredients. It's like any burrito place you've been to before, but with pizza. For whatever reason, that makes it fun and hands-on to be a part of the pizza build process. They then toss it in the oven for no more than 3-5 minutes, they cut it and call your name. Easy, peasy, lemon squeezey. Actually, speaking of lemons, this is where we start to taper off on the excitement and fun of building your own personal pizza. Down a hall, to the right of the pizza pick up area, is the drink station. It offers a variety of lemonades and juices, in addition to teas and your regular soft drinks. My sprite has been flat every time. Eh. No big. I just opted for something else instead. What is a big deal, though, is the smell that came lurking further down the hall, which was easily detectable from the drink station: Urine. Pee. Urinal. Bathroom. It burns deep into your nostrils, singeing the nose hairs. Completely turned off the appetite. Think about it, you build your pizza, wave goodbye to it as they toss it into the oven, pay, pick up your drink cup, head to the drink station while dreaming about how good your pizza will taste, and you're smacked in the face with the smell of pee. Ew. I unfortunately did have to use the restroom while I was there and trust me, the smell is even worse inside the bathrooms. I don't know if it's a drainage issue, but whatever jelly-anti-pee-smell things they've got going on in the bathrooms aren't cutting it. I am not at all happy with the order placed today. Only the cheese bread was delivered. When I called the store, they blamed it on DoorDash. He said he would remake it and deliver it. I asked specifically if he would have it delivered by DoorDash again, it never arrived. This was for a birthday party. It was vegan pizza, so dinner was not available to our vegan guest. I called back before they closed. He said he told me originally they weren't going to re-deliver it and that he refunded the money as of this time I have not received a receipt saying there was a refund. I'm very disappointed.
