Last Friday I was really craving some pizza and figured I'd try out a new place close to me and blaze was that place . Ordered online and that was easy enough and pick up was easy as well. It wasn't until I got home that I was super sad to see my wife's pizza had franks hot sauce on it instead of the hot honey, that was upset #1. I then open mine and it was correct but it just looked blah, I don't know how else to describe it. I was hoping the taste would blow me away but it just made me more sad . It was just a floppy , uncooked all the way pizza . For the price of these expensive pizzas I was hoping for some top tier . The only thing we really enjoyed was the cookie and smore pie . I won't be back but that's ok, it's not for everyone .

I came here at 5pm on the Saturday after the Fourth of July. The crust was crispy, and the cheese was pull-y. Where I think these pizzas stand out is the tomato sauce and the number of toppings afforded. The spicy sauce is indeed very delicious and spicy, and you can get unlimited toppings for $15.99. This is definitely a top pick amongst pizza chains.

It's gone while I close eyes once.

Nice pizza. Not salty...so goooood. But more topping for free. And so fast making. Now price up...1 pizza 15bucks. Small for me.

This location is located at the Carlsbad Outlet Mall. I stopped by to get some pizzas to-go after shopping. I was there around lunch time. It was busy and the line moved slowly. It was also very hot inside. They have indoor and outdoor seating but it was hot outside too. The employees were nice. I like that you can customize your pizza here. I enjoyed the pizza.

Update: Read the 1 & 2 & 3 star reviews to know why to avoid this places. No clue if the 4 stars are fake reviews or not, but no way this place legit has this high a rating. I Did ask asked per response on my review from 'owner' and still zero response all this time later. Zero customer service. Must be an automated response on Yelp to say message us and we will making things right just to do absolutely nothing. 3 years being their customer and it's been 3 years of bad customer service for decent pizza. Way too many other places to choose from that has great pizza AND great customer service. To add insult to injury, they changed their app and deleted all my points. Lost the free pizza and was 2 pts away from free cheesy bread I'd saved up for. That 58 could have also gone towards a free drink or dessert. Was told do these steps and they will put pts back on. I've done the steps 3 times now. Nada. Another email telling me to do even more steps and give them the date the first time I've signed in to their app.... Who remembers that?! the date the first time I've signed in to their app... what?! It wasn't this major event that yielded I mark my calendar to celebrate each year lol. And this was not part of the process. This was an added step they've added to this crazy process just last email. A lot of work for a place that stays unkept with tables and chairs customers must clean themselves before sitting, repeatedly new workers who do not know how to work the register (last time three workers couldn't figure out how to fix the register issue and it took so long that my order of two pizzas were ready and there I still stood waiting at the register. I paid and wanted a receipt. She'd taken my money and transaction was complete but no receipt so they put it all in the register again and expected me to pay... again. No, that's not how that works. So no receipt, and they still were figuring out if I needed to pay again... what? Thankfully the lady who I paid kept saying I already paid and transaction was complete but I just wanted a receipt to get the pts for rewards. Still no receipt, no rewards, and the other workers remained confused and fought the register saying the register is always having issues. I asked if I could please get my food so my family could eat while they figure out how to get me my receipt. She said go ahead but they hesitated as if to make me stand there longer... our food has been ready. Blaze pizza gets cold really fast, you gotta eat it in the moment or it's NOT tasty at all. And it's not good reheated at all. They finally all okayed me getting my food I'd already paid for. We ate and still no receipt. And no dessert either. I asked and they didn't know what to do. I'd gotten a dessert using my rewards. They couldn't pull up my transaction and as you know and they know... no receipt. She remembered I ordered a dessert but couldn't prove it. So I scanned my rewards again. It took so long for them to give me the dessert that's already prepared btw, that my family went on to the car. It was such an annoying experience. It was around 15 mins... that's a long wait for something already prepared. My family never wants to return. They said it's not that good and there's always an issue with the register. It's been dirty every visit and workers look as unhappy as the customers. I like the pizza, I like the set up. In Kentucky it's a wonderful experience and was our favorite pizza place. We'd go weekly there. I keep trying to retry this place every so many months since moving to SoCal... we are repeatedly disappointed. What happened Blaze? Did y'all sell out? Is it no longer family owned? Y'all had such a good thing going. Turns out they did. Sadly. Someone famous bought it and it went downhill since. Sad. Still waiting on my pts to be fixed... turns out they are having issues internally nationwide on top of the in store register issues so it may take a long while to fix it. Still no one is addressing any of the other issues. This location also will not honor any discounts or deals. Nada. Even deals blaze emails you. Nada. They will not give any of the blaze discounts via app nor email etc. They said manager told they to say no to any offers. Full price is all that's available at this location per manager.

They are a make-your-own-pizza place but just ok. We got here pretty late at night and it was empty. The guys manning the counter were a little bit confused about our orders, but we got them right at the end. I ordered the half and half signature bbq chicken with fast fired meatballs and my husband ordered the signature carnivore pizza. Both pizzas were just ok, nothing great to write home about but the carnivore was better than the chicken. I think I expected the meatballs to be fried because it said fast fired, but they were just regular meatballs. This ended up being a lot of food, so we took some home. The meatballs tasted better the next day when they were heated more. I was hopeful of this place delivering good pizza since we live within walking distance, but it is just average.

What's happened to Blaze Pizza? First time back in over a year and prices are way way up and the condition of restaurant is way way down. Look at these pics taken Sep 2025. Only one bathroom operational.

So delighted to have the fresh baked pizza. The pizzas were delicious and they aggressively baked them with lots of meat, and with real cheese. The berries salad was superb. Their staff were polite and courteous, another plus for this pizza place. An absolutely amazing pizza place, it's worth the price.

When I arrived, the host at the front was incredibly sweet. When I mentioned that my order was to-go, she kindly guided me to the bar area to place it. It was 10:50 a.m. when I got there, and by the time the guests ahead of me had ordered, it was around 11:04 a.m. Unfortunately, the bartender taking orders seemed very frustrated. I ordered an oat milk latte and three different pastries (which were honestly superb), but the interaction felt quite uncomfortable. He mentioned several times that no one had come in all morning and that just as he was cleaning up and getting ready to finish, people started showing up. I completely understand that it can be frustrating when customers arrive right as you're expecting to wrap up your shift. However, repeatedly venting that frustration to guests made for an awkward experience. I felt so uncomfortable that I almost cancelled my order altogether. Admittedly, I hadn't had my caffeine yet, so maybe I was feeling it more than usual! That said, the pastries were excellent, the coffee was good, and the host made a wonderful first impression. Overall, it was a mixed experience - great food and drinks, but the service at the bar was not something that begs repeating so I don't know if I'd go back again.

They kicked out my family (including 4 year old daughter and 1 year old son who literally had food in their hand) on a Wednesday night that was more than half empty well before any music started. However, they let us first buy a round of drinks for 4 adults before kicking us out due to the "no outside food" policy. So with 4 full drinks purchased from them and our "outside food" from camp, they let us walk away with drinks in hand right past the sign that says "no alcohol beyond this point." So you're willing to sell me alcohol, then kick me out with drinks in hand to where alcohol is not allowed because I brought food from my campsite?? It gets better. Bree (the manager?) offers me Anthony's phony number who is apparently the owner. I call Anthony and explain the situation and express my frustration. The very first thing he says is "well you shouldn't grab women like that!!" Wait.... What?!? At this point I'm beyond perplexed and said "what are you taking about?!" He says "Bree said you grabbed her!" I laughed and said "sir, I have 6 people who were there, plus however many other patrons that can attest that at no point anyone was grabbed." Then he says "well she said you shook her hand firmly!" In this real life?! I get kicked out, then accused of "grabbing" the manager which quickly back peddled into "shaking her hand firmly." At this point, I realized I was dealing with people who have zero sense of savvy, customer service and fabricate lies to change a situation. They're fortunate to have the luxury of good location. Located anywhere else it would be a dumpster fire. Myself, nor my family or friends will ever spend another dollar here. Will that hurt them? I arrived at Pelly's Fish Market & Cafe (Carlsbad) on a Saturday (around 12:55PM). Parking is easy. The lot is very big. Customers order at the counter, and Staff brings the food to your table. Staff is polite enough. Staff had a very laid back, casual presence. The male staff member just appeared & plopped the food on the table before strolling over to chat with another customer.
