You'll be able to quench your pizza cravings with an 11 inch personal pizza that doesn't break the bank. The best thing about Blaze is that you can get unlimited sauces, toppings, and cheeses. I've been to Blaze before in Williamsburg and at the time I thought it was better than &Pizza and Mod. This one isn't quite as good and that may be because it is in the Mason food court. Absolutely ridiculous customer service. I asked for a two-topping pizza and the lady at the front had marked me for Simple BYO(specialty pizza I guess). At the counter, the cashier had charged me for three-topping pizza and when I explained that I only got two toppings- they started a full-on crime investigation(asked everyone who made the toppings-pulled out the pizza and checked the toppings) and made me feel worthless. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS!!!! My wife and I have lived in D.C. for around 2 months now, and we have been wanting to go to Blaze for the longest time. Tonight, we drove 30 minutes to get to this location, and to say that we were disappointed is a gross understatement! Not only were we unable to take advantage of the buy a drink get a free pizza promo, but we also weren't able to use our Blaze gift card. Instead of paying less than $5 for both of our pizzas (and drinks), we were stuck paying $8.50 or so each, and for only a pizza!!!! We will definitely not be coming back. I understand that this location doesn't participate in promotions, as it's located on a college campus, but to me, not even accepting gift cards is ridiculous to say the least! It's not like we're poor, and can't afford to pay $8.50 each for a pizza, I'm just trying to get a point across and express my disappointment. The pizza is pretty great here. It's like a Chipotle for pizza: get your favorite toppings, pizza crust type and size. I prefer the red sauce pizzas. They do have the pesto option but the pesto doesn't taste good here. They have some unique sodas here. I love their orange mango and their black cherry sodas. In fact, sometimes I don't buy their pizza and I just buy their delicious specialty soda. You can order through the Starship app and have a cute robot deliver your pizza (only available in campus). read more

Come here pretty often for lunch it's usually a hit or miss. I came tonight, ordered a simple pie something i get pretty often. The staff is nice, a bunch of students. Sometimes though your pizza may come out a little burnt or under cooked depending who is in charge of the oven. Service can be slow or fast depending on whose working. The cookies that they have are really good, I do recommend getting. I go every so often, I usually stick to chipotle or panera. read more

Disastrous. I placed an order for four pizzas. I chose the "build your own" option. The order was over half an hour late, cold and chewy, and apparently mine was a "DIY" pizza. All of the ingredients were in little plastic containers and there were no baking instructions. They also got the toppings wrong. I tried to do it myself, but it was dry and unsatisfying. I called to discuss my issues and they agreed to send out another pizza to replace mine. (I was willing to accept that despite the fact that all of the other pizzas were cold and chewy). I think what needs to be said is that dining options at GMU are serving a huge amount of people so food does not always turn out 100% tasty or amazing looking, however Blaze does a great job to deliver good quality pizza. With the options of unlimited toppings I think this is the most bang for your buck you can get at the GMU campus. With a variety of toppings to choose from I feel like you can get a great pizza for a good price that is a considerably healthy option I think compared to the other on campus food (Panda Express, Burger King, etc). I think out of all the food on campus these guys do it right with their quick service and fresh food plus the pizza is tasty. I noticed that the slices are slightly thin, so if you like a THICK crust then skip this spot. Hands down this is the best place for food on campus and a bit better than Manhattan Pizza as well. read more

They recently made this pizza place at George Mason university and it tastes so good! You get to pick your own toppings for the build your own (as many toppings as you like). They put it in an oven in front of you so it's fresh. The lines are long at Mason but they move surprisingly fast. The service is great, especially Valerie! She's always upbeat and positive and even remembers my name. She pretty much keeps the line moving and organized and trains the new hires - so I thought I'd give her a shoutout haha. I'm surprised from the other review on here, because so far I've never had a bad experience with wait times or order issues. I went into blaze pizza yesterday at about 5:30. It was a Saturday so there was almost no one in line. For a fast fire pizza, these people took their time making my pizza. The employees were joking around and not even paying attention to their jobs. I understand having fun on the job but i would think customers come first. 15 minutes to get my pizza is ridiculous with only 4 other people in the line. I got a pepperoni pizza from blaze a few weeks ago and it was absolutely awful like it was cooked in a microwave or was one of those cheap frozen pizzas (not digiorno, digiorno is awesome). I thought perhaps the staff was having a bad day and I would give them another shot so I ordered another pepperoni pizza last night and it was the same quality as the first. The staff are amazing! They were so friendly! My first time going, i didn't really know how it worked, so they had no problem explaining it to me, and even making some suggestions! On Tuesday at around 4:30 I went and I had the worst experience at Blaze that I've ever had. All I ordered was one simple pie and four dough knots. When I got my pizza it turned out that they totally forgot my order and hadn't even put the dough knots in the oven, let alone even take them out of the storage container. The line was so long because the first person on the line was being really slow. I understand being attentive to what you're doing, I worked in fast food as well, but there should still be an aspect of speed while working. So while I had to wait for one of my items that was entirely forgotten, my pizza got cold, so then I had piping hot dough knots and a cold cheese pizza. There was also SO much pesto on it, which was just a cherry on top while I was trying to eat my food quickly before i had class. The pizza is DELICIOUS. BUT...I've had 2 separate problems on 2 separate days with this place. Today was the final straw- I regrettably attend classes at George Mason and have a class on Tuesday this semester where my professor WILL lock the door right at the start of class. I waited in the little shorter than average line, they took my order, prepped my pizza, I paid, all no big deal. But then they BURNT my pizza which I have NEVER seen because there's always a long line and they need to get the pizzas out so they can put new ones in (makes sense). But it was 4:02 and my class is 4:30 so I did not have time for them to remake it and eat it and still make it to class on time (I also currently have a bad foot that makes me slower than usual, so I REALLY had no time, barely had time by 4:02 to eat it and get there). They were extremely rude about it. They admitted they burnt it before I got it, but I did not have time to have it remade, and I told them that and they were just all uh....so I requested a refund and am never going back. Never once saw a burnt pizza there before. Seriously, the line is always long so you'd think they check the pizzas more carefully so there's space to put all the new pizzas in. George Mason itself is very poorly run, so I guess it fits in, but still. Unacceptable. I got zero lunch today because of this. Everyone needs food, but they didn't seem to think I did. read more
