I always come to this location and have never had an issue. The first time I bring my mom, it was the worst experience in customer service. My mom and I came to have lunch at 12 pm. I ordered a build your own and she order a BBQ Chicken pizza. The girl who helped us was Gio, and she hadn't put cilantro on my moms pizza. My mom had asked her for it and Gio said they ran out. I had told her how could they run out if you guys just opened. Her coworker had told her they did have some but needed to be chopped. Gio rolled her eyes and told her coworker, then you go get it. The other employee was kind enough to get it from the fridge and clean it and cut it. As the girl was cutting the cilantro, Gio had taken my moms pizza to be put in the oven. I had told her that we still needed cilantro on it. She rolled her eyes AGAIN and started shaking her head. She went to the back and had the same girl put the cilantro on our pizza. I was in complete disbelief at her attitude. She was so rude and disrespectful. Why work there if you hate your job?! As we payed I had mentioned it to the manager Miguel about Gios poor customer service. All he said was he'll talk to her. Not even an apology or anything. Not sure if I'll be coming back to this location. With their awful customer service I'll probably be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Don't get me wrong. I love everything about the food at Blaze and I love coming here for the top quality pizzas and salads. But honestly, some of the staff are absent minded and don't know how to take orders or listen clearly what customers want to exactly get. So far, out if all the build a pizza joints, Blaze is by far my fave. Maybe it's a convenience factor (since I work a few blocks away), but I do prefer it to the local Flamzz. I am addicted to Blaze Pizza! Delighted this location opened so I don't have to drive to Pasadena any longer. Maria Shriver's franchise concept built on the Subway model was brilliant. I wish I had the $ to invest in a franchise. Build Your Own is the way to go. 10" personal thin crust pizza for $7.65 with choice of sauces and unlimited toppings. My suggestion is to not go overboard on the toppings to keep it crispy. I order mine extra crispy so they keep it in the oven a few extra seconds. I also ask for it to be double cut so I get twelve small slices rather than the standard six, just my personal preference, a dainty girly thing. Good idea for first timers to go up and look at the topping choices ahead of time so you're not overwhelmed nor feel rushed when you are ordering. Sturdy half boxes provided for taking home leftovers. Selection of salads made in house daily are available. Nice selection of bottled beer and Barefoot Wines on hand. Service outstanding here. Ambiance is hip, loud, fun. Outdoor seating available. This is one happy Yelper. read more

Walked in tonight to give this place a second chance and was let down again. Long wait and they move and make your pizza so slowly. It's so loud there and tons of kids running around. Waited in line forever and after I saw a few of them make mistakes and slow the line even more I ended up walking out. It was very uncomfortable. Wouldn't recommend going on the weekends and parking is horrible on Fridays because of the night market down the street. read more

I was craving a build yourself pizza after trying out Pizza Rev a day earlier. The place is LOUD and tight on space. My pizza came out a soggy and a bit underdone. The staff is friendly but I felt rushed as they kept passing my pizza down the line of workers to add the next ingredients. The basil and spinach looked a bit soggy. The flavor was good.... probably not a good idea to go on a Friday evening. I'll try a weekday evening the next time I go. read more

This review really is for the customer service from this afternoon for one of the employees there-Desmond. I don't know if she's hungover or what but she was so nasty. The family in front of us had apparently forgotten to tell her that they wanted it to go and she had set it up on the pizza plate for here. She gave a total attitude, sighed and slammed the togo box and tossed the pizza in there. For us, we asked for "finishers" and I don't know if the girls forgot to write it down, but we asked and she threw the pesto bottle/BBQ sauce bottle into the holder, slamming boxes and pizza plates and basically tossed our pizza boxes at us over the counter- mine almost fell off and onto the floor. No smile, no thank you, no "have a nice day". I would somewhat understand the attitude if we inconvenienced her on a busy day, but there was no one behind us. She had nothing else to do! WHOA. WHOA. WHOA. HOLD UP. The pizza fad all of a sudden came out of no where, but I'm not complaining. I'm so mad at myself for depriving my stomach of Blaze pizza! I had previously only gone to Pieology due to convenience since it was down the street from me. Obviously, my laziness has cost me to miss out amazing BYO pizza. After a long hike, my stomach was growling and I wanted something quick that I know wouldn't set off my hanger. Thankfully, I remembered there was a Blaze pizza I headed in that direction STAT! The staff were super friendly and helpful. She asked if it was our first time and if she needed to explain the concept to us. I opted out for it and was ready to build my pizza. The toppings looked fresh and large variety of it too. The pizza did not take too long to bake and came to our tables fairly quickly. My friend and I beat the lunch time rush and was able to nom on our food as people barely starting coming in. I was reading that their Blood Orange Lemonade is amazing but I did not get a chance to try it - I chose beer instead. I usually try to take pictures of my food, but I was so excited and hungry that I ate it all before I got a chance. I have to say I was extremely disappointed by this pizza place. I came here with my mom the first week it opened, the staff was extremely friendly but also very confused about everything. My mom ordered her own pizza and asked for fresh goat cheese, the girl making her pizza didn't know the difference between goat cheese and feta cheese. When we let the know that it wasn't goat cheese they argued with us and insisted that it was goat cheese. I'm a chef at a restaurant and I have never seen a crumbly goat cheese. This is an extremely disappointing experience and I would expect more from a chain restaurant. read more

On 5/10/19 at 10:15pm I walk in to blaze pizza. Upon entering there was a medium size line, awesome I haven't eaten anything all day so it was joy. The first person to greet me was nice and pleasant, but after that it went all to hell. Every single topping was mixed with others and they had to pick some of the stuff I didn't want off my pizza. Instead of laying down the toppings the throw it like their making splash art with it. Every single employee after that point was rude to the T. Everybody there that night hates their job! I know because I can see on their faces, damn near taking my appetite away. Keep in mind i am currently fasting from sun-up to sun down at the moment and didn't get the chance to eat until then. Marcos never made eye contact once. It felt like I was buggin him to put toppings my pizza! I asked him how's his day and he said "I'm tired I wanna go home". Understandable. Next person. The lady with the neck tattoos - that puts the pizza in the oven and takes them out was moving so fast! She was overwhelming the guy that's dressing up and packing the pizzas. She literally was yelling hot every two second holding the hot pizza next to guys head waiting for him to finish what he had. Once I seen her place a hot pizzas on top of the handles of the cooking utensils, I lost it. I brought it to her attention and before I can finish she said "I'll make you another one sir" and turns her back and leaves. First of all it wasn't my pizza to begin with. But that fact your placing ready to eat pizza on top of random things that everyone grabs is unsanitary! FINALLY MY PIZZA IS OUT OF THE OVEN AND IS PLACED PROPERLY THIS TIME, BUT ITS JUST SITTING THERE ALONE WITH NO OTHER PIZZA INSIGHT. Then my pizza comes out all I'm waiting for is to tell the person to add bbq sauce on it so I can run the hell outta there. Guess who shows up Marcos pissed off AGAIN because I asked for alittle more sauce on it because he half ass'd the first time. THIS PLACE IS TRASH NOW. I really liked Blaze when it first opened at this location. Lately the place has been FILTHY! It often looks like there has been a food fight behind the counter and on the visible part of the kitchen floor. Sauce splattered all over the glass. Cross contamination of all toppings. Food sprinkled all over the counters. They are often out of toppings and salads. And not at the end of the night either. During early dinner hours. They appear to be very poorly managed.
