I'm sooo happy with the past two experiences we've had at this Northridge location! The first time was through ordering with the app and pickup. The 7 pizzas were ready when it said it was going to be, the pizzas were placed in a warmer so that they were ready for pickup, and the staff was friendly and all smiles (under their masks anyway) which was greatly appreciated. The second time was when we dined in. They were just as friendly and all smiles. The three pizzas we ate were made SO well! They were delicious and we enjoyed our time there. The outdoor seating is completely covered. Both inside and outside seating were clean. Surprisingly, their s'more cookie (make sure to have it warmed) was delicious!!! Thanks again, guys! I ordered on the app and got there a few minutes early when I walked up to the cashier he said it would be ready in two minutes I sat down directly in front of them and they were calling everybody's name but 10 minutes went by and they still hadn't called my name so I went up to the cashier and she said "it's been ready it's right here." I said "no one ever called my name." She said "oh I didnt know you where in here." That made no sense they literally just saw me come in and ask and then proceeded to no call my name when I'm sitting right there it felt like a petty power play or something it was super unprofessional. And I was also in my brake from work so I wasted my whole brake waiting for them to call me name and they never did and the app never notified me that my order was ready. Thankfully another worker heard him and told him to move aside and they would make my food. They are so busy at this location the Northridge Mall next to Dicks Sporting. This has been my 3rd time here and all 3x feels they are understaff and chaotic. I do enjoy that I can build my own pizza but it is like any other build your own establishment. Flees everywhere we kept moving from table to table until we settled outside where it was better but cold.

I came here 2 times in the past month, and both were bad experiences. The first time I ordered a build you own pizza, and it came out looking uncooked. I asked for them to put it back in and they did, but it was still not cooked all the way. I tried eating it, but could not finish it and had to take half of it home. At home I put it in the over and it ended up tasting 10x better. Same thing with my 2nd visit. I ordered another pizza and asked for it to be cooked well done this time. Same thing, it was not cooked all the way and I had to take it home and finish cooking it myself in the oven. Not only did I have to build my own pizza, but I had to cook it on my own too! Really disappointing when you pay $13+ for an individual sized pizza. I would not recommend coming here, as I don't think their oven works properly. See pic below. read more

My fiancé and I went to blaze yesterday evening for a pizza date night. While we do not normally go to blaze, we have in the past, and have never had an experience like this. I would like to preface with saying I completely understand that blaze is not an allergy free facility and am aware of your allergy statement "Although efforts are made to avoid cross-contact of allergens, Blaze Pizza does not guarantee that cross-contact with allergens will not occur". Although in this situation, there was absolutely NO effort made to prevent or avoid cross contamination. Our interaction started out okay, a lady welcomed us and started our order, I ordered the gluten free crust, and she asked if it was an allergy or a preference, i stated it was an allergy, and that I also had a dairy allergy, so any precautions would be appreciated. She said okay great. She grabbed my fiancés normal gluten crust, rubbed flour on it, and with the same flour-filled gloves, reached into the gluten free container and grabbed mine. My fiancé and I immediately noticed the flour smeared on one half of my gluten free pizza crust. My fiancé spoke up, reminded her of my gluten allergy, asked for a glove change and a new pizza crust. She did so, but the most insane part of it, is that she proceeded to take the gluten free crust with the flour all over it AND PUT IT BACK IN THE GLUTEN FREE CONTAINER!! That is an ASTRONOMICAL hazard. I am not paying an extra $4 for a gluten free pizza with flour rubbed all over it. Our experience continued to get worse, in the past, they always use fresh sauces and utensils to prevent cross contamination, this same employee proceeds to grab the utensil from the red sauce, that we had literally just seen another employee rub all over a normal pizza crust to rub in the sauce. Luckily before she did it, the other employee goes "uh wait go get the fresh one in the back". Which she did, and at that time my fiancé once again reminded her of my gluten allergy. At this point, she had been reminded a total of 3 times. She proceeded to put on my vegan cheese and the rest of my toppings. She put a piece of pepperoni on that had a huge smear of ricotta cheese. I politely asked her to remove that piece, she half smeared off the ricotta, then proceeded to try and put it back on, in which i asked her to instead just remove it from my pizza altogether. We get the rest of the toppings and all is well, she then goes to put our pizzas on the metal shelving rack before they go in the oven. My allergy friendly pizza was put on the bottom, which is something that should be changed in the company all together. Allergy friendly pizzas should always go on the top shelf to prevent any spillage from the other pizzas. Which is exactly what happened, she put my fiancés gluten and dairy filled pizza on the shelf above it. His pizza had slightly slid off the tray, so she shook his pizza to move this back into place. As you can imagine we watched cheese and loose flour fall on top of my pizza. We once again spoke up and asked for a new pizza made by someone else. One of the managers, named Art kindly apologized and had another gentleman make me a new pizza. Of course there was slight concern considering we watched her put the flour filled pizza crust back into the gluten free container. This gentleman showed us how they are all separated, and he carefully grabbed one from the bottom, ensuring us it wasn't contaminated. He carefully made my new pizza and the rest of the experience was okay. My fiancé spoke with Art as I was ordering my new pizza and pretty much explained every situation we encountered and Art was very apologetic and said he completely understood our frustration as he struggles with allergies himself. Regardless, this interaction was absolutely INSANE. Don't have your employees ask if it is an allergy or a preference if they obviously do not care, and will proceed to do what makes their job easier and is more convenient for them. Mind you, there wasn't even a line behind us, so they obviously had the time. Honestly, my fiancé and I were halfway tempted to drive to Pieology 10 minutes down the road after the experience we had and eat there instead. We go there often and I have never had anything but top notch service, with careful attention to allergies and details. Your business should take training notes from them, because they obviously have it much more together. By far the scariest and most stressful ordering experience of my life. I shouldn't have to advocate for myself 5+ times while ordering a pizza. read more

I like this location more than the one at Topanga Mall. The employees know what they are doing. I absolutely loved my pizza and it was generous on sauce, cheese, meat, and toppings. Anytime I ask for more, they provide. Also, the pizza came out pretty fast even for a busy day. The flavor was absolutely on point. I highly recommend getting the gluten-free dough as it won't mess with your stomach as much as pizza does normally. I had no problem finishing this pizza on my own. It's spacious with plenty of seating, even featuring a seating area that is indoors but open to the outdoors as well, allowing air flow and some privacy if you needed since it's closed off from the other seating areas. The service was a bit slow considering I walked in with no one in line and several people behind the counter in their respective stations kinda just hanging around. It took some time to get our food and also, the crust was kinda burnt but otherwise, overall good. One chick was very kind when I asked for ranch and bbq sauce on the side. 1 star for the establishment due to their failure to appreciate the amazing team they have and policy. What kind of sick policy doesn't allow customers to leave a tip when using a debit card. Most people don't carry cash and when I get great service I WANT to leave a tip as a gesture of acknowledgement for a workers hard work or customer service. Service 5 stars - I came in with my wife and ordered a few pizzas which were cooked to perfection. We were greeted upon entering on a rainy day. I didn't catch the gentleman's name who made our pizzas but he was very friendly and double checked to make sure our orders were correct. The other gentleman Julio who rang us up was very professional let us know they had beer amongst other soft drinks. Great thing to do from a business stand point and valuable asset for any company. Julio went above and beyond to try and make a sale meanwhile his company won't let me tip. Absolutely ridiculous. Food - Pizza was made to my liking with my favorite toppings. I asked Julio to please make sure my particular pizza was not too crispy (which came out perfect by my standards) Ambiance - the location has a large dining area and great corner location in the mall. Mellow, employees are friendly and greet you when walking in. I'm at member of the gym next door and I'll be returning and hopefully the company allows tips to be put on debit cards. Ridiculous that the option isn't already there. If this Blaze location wants to retain employees that can function to high standard then they need to allow their employees to receive electronic tips so they can know customers appreciate their hard work. I haven't had a bad experience with blaze. For the price and speed you get your pizza it is well worth it. The staff are usually quick and friendly. If you have a large group or party, don't worry there is plenty of space at the Northridge location. Keep in mind, it is a college area, so some nights the line can be a bit long. read more

I never even looked twice at this place. My daughters school was having a event fundraiser here. So of course we came to support and eat. My daughter loved that she can see them make the pizza right before her eyes. The perfect size for individual yet you still take some home. The cheese was so buttery and melty. I wish I got the names of the two expert pizza oven operators. One was very tall slender and the other was just a touch shorter also slender. They made my EXTRA CRISPY pizza perfectly extra crispy. I am obsessed with these two. Wish they weren't so busy so I could actually tell them what a fabulous job they did on my extra crispy pizza. So I'm kind of a blaze pizza snob. I've been to locations from the east coast to the west coast and so far my absolute favorite location is the one in New Jersey. I have not found a blaze location that comes close to the NJ location until the Northridge location. I am hoping that the managers read this review and take it to heart and have a serious talk with some of the other locations. I don't understand how the Topanga location is always so busy because they don't know how to fire up a pizza. I guess go there if you like your pizza mushy. Anyways, let's stay positive and hope that these two expert pizza operators at the Northridge location stay consistent with the quality and hopefully teach others how to do it right. read more

The food here is great. It's on par with any other Blaze pizza. If you're looking for fresh, made to order, fully customizable pizza, this is the joint for that. I have 2 complaints with the location however. First, it's the actual location. They are located as a part of the mall, but there is no entrance/exit in to the actual mall. If you want to come here, you need to walk outside & around a corner from either direction. It's not the end of the world, but it's definitely not convenient. Especially when it's super hot out or raining and you don't want to have to deal with the weather. My next complaint is about the employees. Hopefully it's a unique one off experience, but last time I was there, I had a free drink coupon on the app. I redeemed it and then sat down. I then looked at the receipt and realized I was charged for a drink. I was confused so I went up to the counter to ask what happened. The employee causally told me they were out of the small drink cups so he gave me a large & then charged me the difference. That's not what I wanted. Had I known I was going to have to pay an upcharge, I would've just gotten the free cookie that was the other option for the coupon (I had water with me so I could've drank that). The employee seemed so annoyed that I asked for a refund because I was not told this is what was happening. He then had to go get who I assumed was a manager...but that woman didn't know how to do refunds. So she had to get on the call with someone on the phone who then had to walk her through whatever process it took. it was just so annoying and a waste of time. I hope this isn't reflective of all employees at this location, but I've always had wonderful customer service at Blaze Pizzas. This one definitely stood out to me as an exception to the rule. read more
