I have really been into build your own pizza type restaurants. I decided to give Blaze a try and overall had an okay experience. The restaurant is quite spacious and is located in the new south meadows shopping center by Sprouts. The boyfriend and I ordered the regular build your own with the regular dough. They have many different types of dough to choose from like cauliflower or keto, which is awesome, I don't see many places that offer the variety of dough! The gentleman (Ricky) getting our dough and name was very kind and made small talk. We enjoyed talking to him and his customer service. We moved forward to customize our pizza with a younger lady. The ingredients were just tossed around and we seemed rushed (note it wasn't rush hour and we were the only ones in line). Not a big deal, we received our pizza and my boyfriend asked if he could have some ranch. This is where things went wrong, instead of giving him ranch on the side, she squirted ranch from a bottle all over our pizza without even asking. We were sharing the pizza and he was the only one who wanted ranch. I've never heard or seen someone squirt ranch all over the entire pizza like that. We sat down to eat it and I noticed how dark and burnt the crust was. The ingredients and dough tasted fresh but the burnt crust and over kill of ranch really was not it for me. Because of previous experiences with Blaze in California, we were excited when it was announced that Blaze would be coming to Reno. It does not disappoint! We have been going there on average twice per week, and we will likely continue that trend! read more

I love MOD pizza and this is supposed to be similar, but it is lacking. Pricing is different, you get charged by number of ingredients. Crew looks disheveled. I placed an online order for pickup last week and received a confirmation email that my order would be ready at 6:28. When I got to the restaurant at 6:30, I called from the parking lot and was told that they needed 20 more minutes. Okay, they're probably busy. So I waited the twenty minutes and called again, only to be told "oh, we'll make it right now, it'll be 15-20 minutes". At this point it had been nearly an hour since I first placed my order - and they still hadn't even started it?? I asked that they just cancel it and refund my money, which required me to go inside (so much for a contactless experience). When I went inside I found 4 employees standing around - not one of them making any pizzas and saw that they had 4 tickets hanging for orders which doesn't seem that busy to me. It's now been a week and I still haven't received my refund. read more

Great tasting pizza, I like the red vine with pesto on the crust. Definitely recommend the blood orange leamonade.

Their pizza is on point! You can create your own for under $10. I love just going in their and putting what I want and if you don't like that they have their own signatures to choose from as well. read more

I love this pizza concept. It's pretty fast, and everyone in our party can get what they want at an affordable price. The Street Corn was super yummy, and my daughter was happy to get Hawaiian pizza. I can't wait to try a new style. Their beverage selection is pretty unique, too. They had blood orange lemonade, a couple Agra's frescos, regular lemonade, then on fountain they had Blue Sky soda. This place is usually very friendly and caring about their costumers. However, today I placed a call to ask about the Tuesday deal and the person who answered the phone was rude, didn't tell me about the deal and on top of that he hung up on me. Just tried Blaze pizza for the first time, not exactly what we hoped. We arrived at 7:45, and saw all of the chairs up on the tables. We had a coupon for a buy one get one pizza deal, and when we showed the coupon to the first employee, he said "ughhh yeah that's a free pizza so what do you want?" A little irritated we picked two of the signature pizzas, which the employees threw together as quickly as possible so they could keep eating a pizza they had on their counter. We love this place.We come here at least once a week. We love their salad, their pizza, their garlic knots. If the music is too loud, they will turn it down. Their servers are nice and quick. Can't wait for the Sparks restaurant to open up. Only wish we got coupons/offers in the mail. read more

So I was going to give 3 stars because all of my visits here have been good until tonight. Before I even wrote this I was asked to understand that due to covid its hard to be a business and run things well...I understand but... this 2 star review is for how my mother was made to feel. She came to get a pizza and when she went to pay she realized she left her wallet at home. She said that they looked at her like she was an idiot and a weirdo! She's 70 years old and doing very well for her age and from working at sbux I know people forget their wallets all the time... I get making her come back home because you need people to pay for what they're getting but you shouldn't have made her feel bad... if anything be nicer to the person that forgot their wallet because that's really stressful embarrassing shameful feeling experience. She didn't even want to go back...when she got home she was crying and said we would just go somewhere else I thought she was being silly and told her no we will go back but again she said everyone looked at her really weird....maybe she imagined it but the thing is the experience made my mom cry...and no one offered to heat up her pizza or help her recover this anyway. Please treat people with more kindness we all make mistakes. We put the pizza in the oven to re heat it and it was really great operationally despite a pandemic you guys are killing it which is why it was 2 star review it wasn't all bad. read more

My first time here and it was super!! You get to go through the line and pick whatever you want on your pizza. So much to pick. It's thin crust but I really liked it. The size is about a medium pizza which was perfect for me and my husband. Sauce (red) was really good flavor and toppings are all fresh. Now that they are $9.95 instead of $7.95 we had hoped they were still as good as they were before but sadly that's not the case. Very disappointing. Waited 20 minutes behind a couple who wanted a "build your own." The place is set up like a Subway or Port of Subs, whereby customers tell a series of workers what they want on the "pizza". I didn't expect this slow process. Finally it was my "pizza's" turn to be rapid fired, which was indeed blazing fast, but the result was a big thumbs down. I have quotes around "pizza" because this was no pizza in my book. It was akin to thin flat unleavened bread or a cracker with sparse toppings stuck to it. No gooey cheese hanging off, no thick bubbling deep layer of stuff. If i could leave a 0 star i would. I ordered food for delivery from them and was never told it was door dash. hey allowed my order to be picked up but door dash wouldnt deliver to me which im maybe a mile away from store. Tried calling them for a refund and was treated very rudely by them. I callled doordash and neither would refund my money since i didnt receive our food. out 50 for the food. I do not recommend this place for anything. very poor customer service and i will spread the word on it very disapointed in this place and will never order food from them. read more

Fast and friendly service after a day of skiing. Three pizzas and a half pizza plus salad combo. The ingredients were very fresh. Great deal for a combo or any and ALL toppings on the menu! The crusts were a tad over done IMHO but super thin and super quick. read more

I would say that each visit here is a bit worse than the last...the shame is their vegan gluten free crust is the best! For that I give them 1 star. The problem here is that when it gets busy their team tend to get super overwhelmed and I sit and watch them snap at customer after customer. My last visit consisted of one customer ranting to me the entire time I waited for just that reason. I waited in the store 40 minutes past the time I was supposed to pick up my online order and was yelled at (he unfortunately was not wearing a name tag) when I asked if they had started my order. Finally after watching them serve five people who walked in after me I asked for a refund and was told by the manager to give her five more minutes...so I waited ten...at that point I had to insist that I get my refund. Blaze Pizza used be great once upon a time ago but this store in S Reno is the worst representation of your franchise. It's continuously managed and run like absolute crap along with the most unfriendly employee you could imagine. Mam working with the long red hair in the S Reno location this is now the 2nd time you have made our experience at Blaze miserable. The first time I walked out of the store not purchasing anything after 10 min of you not helping us about a month ago but this time if I had noticed who you were I would have done the same but unfortunately I had the awful experience of 3 min in your presence making our pizza so unwilling to help and further more be a miserable human. I will never give my business again if this person is working here...I just may stay away indefinitely there are so many more deserving businesses to patronize. It says something when you are there experiencing a terrible service yourself and the manager is on the phone being chewed out about another unhappy customer.
