Hi there! I just left this establishment and am extremely disappointed with the service I received. The employees all acted as if it was their first day and looked confused on what they were supposed to be doing. There was no one in line before me, yet it took me 40 minutes to get my pizza. I waited at least 10 minutes before I was asked what I wanted to order. This really bums me out because I absolutely love the pizza there. I was also concerned with how the pizzas were placed after being cooked. Someone had picked up a doordash that included an allergy order, yet I saw that pizza be stacked under a few others. The woman cooking the pizzas wasn't very friendly when addressing myself and the other customers and had a rude attitude as well. Really bad experience. It probably took us about 30-45 minutes from getting in line to getting our pizzas. There were only 5 people in front of us in line. I counted 12 employees that I could see behind the register. Some making pizzas, some cooking, one at the register. And the others either standing or just wondering around. They were out of about half of their ingredients so every time we asked for a topping they would have to walk to the back to get more of an ingredient. It took about 10 minutes to actually get through making the pizzas. While we were waiting for our pizzas to cook, we went over to get drinks. The soda fountain worked fine, but the two lemonades that they offer were completely empty. There were only a couple of lids left as well. Moving on to the bathroom. It was disgusting. The sink wouldn't even turn on. It was out of toilet paper. And overall just very gross. Back to the pizzas. Both of our pizzas were over cooked, but luckily not burnt. But the guy in front of us had a completely burnt crust. The worker tried to say it was just burnt flour but it was definitely burnt. Even the bottom was fairly black. The pizzas ended up tasting fine but the experience was really not good. 45 minutes for a mediocre pizza. As a chain - I'm a fan of Blaze. Their pizzas are good, the toppings fresh, and the price to quality point is there. But this blaze? Just terrible. I don't think I've ever been to a Blaze before that was THIS slow. Seriously - some of the workers in the assembly line were literally moving at a snail's pace. Usually the bottleneck at Blaze's are the oven - there's only so many pizzas that can fit in the oven and so when the line builds, it's at a pause because of that. But this blaze? Totally different - the bottleneck is the employee working the sauce/cheese area. Yeah. Imagine that, an employee at one portion of the process that is so slow at such a simple task that a HUGE line is building simply because of it. They are very well staffed - there were over 10 people that I could see behind the scenes. But that didn't seem to matter given how slow their employees work. And honestly, I usually don't mind a wait if there's a legitimate reason (I've visited other Blazes on 3.14 Pi day when there's GIANT lines). If you're a fan of pizza in general - I'd avoid this location. You could honestly drive anywhere else and get your pizza from another place before you would get it from here. read more

Great place for a new Blaze location at the outlets! While not too much is open there yet, this is a great option while shopping. Prices are fantastic, for $8 you can get as many toppings as you like as well as fresh salads. The staff was very friendly and already on top of their game. The other day, the girl who gave me my online pickup order was rude and acted like I was stupid when my pickup order was not in the pickup spot. Didn't know I had to ask for it and waited 30 minutes for it until I asked and she replied "You mean the one up here?" in a rude tone. Didn't know it was at the register counter. This place doesn't take online orders from 6:15 to 8:00 PM. Does that sound technologically advanced or efficient? You go through the whole process and when you process online, it tells you that it can't process your order and call to place your order. After calling their number three times to place the order, guess what? You couldn't place the order for the same reasons I got online and there was nothing they could do as employees, yes...employees could not place that order. So much for keeping up with the times and for creating an efficient way to conduct business. I won't be coming back to this place again nor should you. We have eaten at this Blaze location before but after this last time, never again!! Their prices have gone up and the quality has definitely gone down. The staff was very young and seemed to be more interested in talking to each other rather than paying attention to what the customers wanted or what they we doing. Both our pizzas were under cooked on the toppings while being burnt on the outside crust. They mixed up the the glutton free crust with the other pizza. I've never seen this restaurant in such disarray. Dirty everywhere. Every single sauce was contaminated by other ingredients that fell into it. There was loads of old stale discolored cheese in the cracks between every container of food they grab from, and crumbs of random things on the line the pizzas are made on. The food in the containers was dirty and everything around it was completely unsanitary. I wasn't able to discreetly photograph this area. But I was able to take a photo of the floor. The produce wasn't even cut right. The red onions looked like they were chopped in the penitentiary, the basil was wilting and on the stem, instead of in its normal state in water. The worker was actually the kicker, she had no name tag, but she treated us begrudgingly saying with her attitude that she wanted dealing with us to end. She was sloppy, gross, and rude. She acted like the whole world was against her, before a word was spoken between us. She put every topping on incorrectly, deliberately, and didn't listen any requests or direction. I know I'm not in control but this girl shouldn't continue working here. I could sense all her baggage and tension, so I mentioned to my bf that she has a something up her something. It was confirmed to him when she started helping him next and he asked for more pesto. she started arguing with him about how that's not allowed. He said he would pay extra, she put two tiny drops more on the pizza and continued saying it's not allowed. I've never heard that complete horse shit before. Before you talk to your customers about the rations that management imposes on you, which I don't believe for a second, please clean up after yourself. I'm positive this was her fault, she seemed like she was in charge on that shift. The only thing they need help on is a person who's only job is to clean.(the toppings off the floor, that didn't make the pizza) If I want blaze I come to this location. its won over the other locals in the area. They have won me over with their friendliness! Ive been here probably 10+ times. all at different times of the day. 6:45-8:30 is BUSY TIME! 7 oclock is guaranteed a line. no joke the line goes at times out the door if you arrive and you wait in the line I salute you! I am not sure if this is the same for other locations but this one goes OFF! I have found the best time for me is around 9:30_9:45. like right before they close. no line but behind the glass looks like a war zone. I have come around 6 or so, before the big night rush. its somewhat tidy. but the staff seem like they dont even know whats coming . I have gone from one end of the line to the pay out counter and people didn't stop coming in behind me . it went from only me to the whole line was full. its alot because Mothers with Kids going wild and trying to order for like 4 kids plus trying to get something for themselves. The staff here during the RUSH seem to just take it in stride. luckily there is alot of people working in a small area. they always seem to have full containers ready to serve. sometimes i get people with a heavy hand , I LOVE THEM. and other times I get the by the booker toppings. Coming around 9:30 - 9:45 , Prime Time. the bins are almost empty there is cheese all over the ground(from observation it seems cheese station is the messiest) and the staff seem like their running on fumes. Its nice to see they eat the pizza's too. the pizza comes out the same quality at this time. the ingredients are just as fresh. but theres gonna be some mushrooms in the green peppers if you know what I mean! ;) I am serious when I say it looks like a war zone. BUt even just before there closing If they don't have something you want, they will run behind the little hidden command post and grab a new bin full of the missing ingredient. its just there eyes are crossed and there all warn out. The restaurant where the tables are has always been clean and tidy. I have never seen it messy of any sort. the lemonade machine area always has something going. (Rare) The biggest thing is the ground cleaning behind the counter, and the counter it self. during the storm , during the calm spots, and first thing when it ends. I am not sure if this is a thing at other locations. I am sure it is cause the cold cases they have , have the removable middle pieces. which are prone to dropping bins through. if you get a bad handfull or scoop then it drops along the way. its never possible to get the perfect amount every time. but maybe a little shake before leaving the container. Obviously its a QSR its not fine dining. the restaurant being so clean makes the open kitchen stand out big time. The biggest strength of this location is its staff. always seem hard working , and in a good mood. Thats why they deserve a 4! read more

There were multiple younger kids working and they were deep in conversation with each other, barely acknowledging us. One girl who had just come on shift commented how she didn't want to be there. We wanted a glass of wine and they were all out. The utensil area hadn't been restocked and there were no forks or knives, despite there being more workers than patrons. The pizza was just okay. My go-to restaurant when going to the (underwhelming) San Clemente Outlets. It's far enough away from the shops that it's not super packed compared to other restaurants in the same complex which is a huge plus because I don't want to wait around for a table to open up when I'm hungry. However, that's not to say it's abandoned. I've never been there when there wasn't a line. But the line moves along at a constant speed and there's always been an open table to take when I've completed my order. It's just a well oiled machine. And the food is always fresh and cooked perfectly. Of all the personal build your own pizza chains, Blaze is always my #1. Excellent customer service is just icing on the cake. So when you're done shopping until you drop, hop on over to Blaze for a delicious pizza. Your tummy will appreciate it. read more

I've been to a few Blaze Pizzas and this one is definitely the best one yet. The staff aren't jaded and soulless minimum wage slaves here. They actually care about their work and still have some life when you talk to them. My pizza making process was actually enjoyable and watching them put all the toppings on with care made a huge difference in my experience. They also held conversations while being really fast and accurate. The drinks like the blood orange lemonade and agua frescas were well stocked despite the lunch rush and tables were clean.
