I'm giving a 4 star rating because the pizza is good and the staff is generally very friendly. I'm taking one star off because twice this week my husband and I have ordered online. The first order was burned and lacked topping we asked for. The second order was not as asked for. I asked for double pepperoni... there are 6 on my pizza. The rest of the toppings look like they were accidently dropped on as there isn't much and it's very scattered. Both times I didn't check the pizzas, which is totally my fault. I ate at Blaze pizza a couple times and the times I've eaten there I have loved it. I have also eaten at pieology which is a similar place to Blaze pizza but Blaze pizza is the place to go if you want to build your own pizza blaze is the place to go. Blaze pizza has a lot of variety of toppings, sauces and so much more yummy stuff you can put on your pizza. Blaze pizza is really consistent on the waiting time, they're pretty quick with making the pizza and it's also not too pricey and the place is peaceful and it's never really too packed with people. The service isn't bad at all either, they always have a smile on their face and always making sure that your visit at Blaze pizza is never bad. read more

It was ok over all . The pizza was good, thin crust was very good and I liked the turkey meatballs. I think they were still training people, they didn't seem to know what they were doing. Truthfully, our favorite build your own is, Pieology. We came here because they were supporting the SPCA. Our experience here is not great. One, the the toppings are meager, you have to continually ask for more for toppings, and I'm a 3 piece pieces of pizza kind of person. Second, after each topping, and I usually have about 7 toppings, one meat and the rest veggies, the server kept saying,"And what else do you want" after EACH topping application! Giving two stars cause i actually like this location. The only issue is the workers for night shift are super rude. I get it my job sucks too but if i am in no way being rude to you why act like that? I was even nice enough to clean off some tables for them. My wife and I were starving after spending several hours hiking in nearby sequoia national park. We wanted fast and filling food and had never been to a Blaze location before. The first server at the counter asked if we had been there before. Since we hadn't, she explained the basics of the ordering process. We proceeded to order our pizzas, get drinks, and waited maybe 5-10 min for our pizzas. The pizzas were very tasty. We both had a variety of toppings. Some of the toppings were spread fairly thin, but what can you expect for a decent size pizza that you can put any/every topping on for one reasonable price? If we had been less hungry, we could have easily split one pizza. Overall, we were very satisfied and would stop by another Blaze when we get the chance. read more

I live in Tulare, so I always go to the one in Tulare. I was in Visalia and thought I would pick up a pizza to take back to Tulare. The only reason I'm writing this review, which, this is the first, is, I started reading A couple of the other reviews for this particular location and a couple of things I read rang true for me as well. The two things I read, was stomach pains, and The fact that the lettuce was wilted. I personally did not experience the stomach pains, but I had heard someone that went there to that location had. I was a little weary going there, but the first thing I noticed was the lettuce was very wilted. I got the salad anyway but I was not impressed with the way it looked. The pizza was OK, I didn't get stomach pains, but it just wasn't the same as my location I go to in Tulare. Can't quite put my finger on it. I always get the build your own, and I always get the same things on my pizza but for some reason it just tasted different. I just didn't like the ambience when I walked in and the pizza wasn't as good as the others. I don't know how a location can determine the taste of the pizza when it's cooked the same but it was different. I recommend the Tulare location, it's absolutely wonderful!! read more

Sad establishment. I always give this places multiple chances. I prefer not to dine in, so I order on the app, and take it home. On multiple occasions I've requested ranch through the app, it's never with the pizzas when picking up. I have to ask the person that's at the pick up area and they always have a bad attitude. So often toppings, sides, ect are forgotten. It's not that hard to read the receipt. Overall, this place should hire and/or train their young employees to be respectful and at least nice to their customers! read more

My young sons and I went to Blaze this past week. We were greeted upon entry with wonderful smiles, they were very patient with my kids as they picked their toppings, and came around to check to see if we needed anything! Been there twice now, love the concept and the food as well. My wife is allergic to pineapple, one employee did all he could to avoid contamination, and another argued with us that everyone handles everything. Not sure if we will go back if they can't prevent cross contamination. read more

I just left the blaze and I was disappointed that they weren't able to receive cash tips(though I completely understand why it's just that I didn't have my card on me) because the staff was amazing. I showed up late(about 15 minutes till which I usually avoid doing since most places people are trying to clean up and get out of work by that time but I saw people still dining outside and a couple people lining up to still order so I went ahead to order take out) and everyone was kind, they took the time to make sure my order was to my specifications and didn't rush me through and I believe their manager if they see this should see who all worked this shift and personally congratulate their employees on giving excellent customer service and let them know that they are valued, appreciated and most importantly noticed for their hard work. And if a manager was working well then know you and your staff were wonderful. On a side note the place is extremely clean and neat and the pizza is my favorite around, their are plenty of options and the price is fantastic(there is no way you can get a pizza with unlimited toppings for that price at any regular pizza joint). I loved our pizza and salad. I had the pizza with red and spicy red sauce mixed on the pie. My significant other had a half & half of two kinds of salad and it was very good. Very clean. Went at noon on a Friday - wish I'd've gone elsewhere as it was THE worst EVER. YUCK! For $4.25 got maybe 2 cups of COMPLETELY wilted arugula with 2 mushy slices of old, pink strawberries (they weren't even ripe). Inedible. Made me a new one but it was bone dry and still had a couple macerated strawberry slices and this time one blueberry.Ordered a build your own pizza and asked for it to be well done. It was doughy in the middle. The crust is already like shoe leather so when it's raw it's nasty, but when they tried to re-fire it, it only made it worse. They tried to scrape it off the pizza pan and on to my serving plate but none of the ingredients had adhered to the crust so there was this pile of gooshy crap that I wouldn't have eaten if I were starving. They gave me a coupon for a free pizza on my return which I will NEVER use as I will NEVER go there again. Can't say I 'ATE' there as their food is inedible. I'll stick to PIEOLOGY when I want a good experience building my own pizza as Blaze SURE as heck doesn't deliver. read more

I was very disappointed that this business does not take phone orders. Not everyone has a smart phone, I had to borrow this phone. For what I paid the pizza was small and did not have enough sauce or toppings. I would recommend me n eds or pizza factory or even little ceasers pizza. First let me say I love the concept. Single-sized pizzas made to order just like you were making a sub sandwich. Great idea. All the ingredients spread out in front of you and you can have whatever you like on your personal pie. Plus, I don't know anywhere in else in town where they actually have the stuff to make a good margherita pizza. That being said.... you can have all the great ideas you want to but without great people behind the counter... Well... So i'm a big fan of the margherita pizza. If you don't know what that is, google it. It's sublime. They even have one on the menu there... they call it a Red Vine pizza. My only problem with it is that raw tomatoes on top of a pizza unseasoned can be kind of gross but if you can get just a bit of salt on each one that's totally fixable. As they were making my pizza i spied a big bowl of crystally salt sitting there. I asked the girl making it if I could have something a little crazy on my pie. Could she please dip the tomatoes in a little bit of salt? That would take care of it. Well, instead of stopping what she was doing and listening to what I wanted, she kept working and by the time the words had come out of my mouth the tomatoes were already on the pie. She acted as though she wasn't quite sure what to do about this for a moment and then another girl next to her told her just to put pinches of salt on each of the tomatoes. I was hopeful but I should have known better and said forget it. She put a PILE of salt on each one. I'm sure you can imagine the saltyness that ensued. It pretty much ruined what would have been a really fantastic yummy creation. Perhaps it's my own fault for wanting something out of the ordinary but this really only happened because they were in such a hurry. And the crazy thing is, it was like 8pm. We were the last ones in line. There was nobody behind us. They weren't crazy busy. They were just in a hurry. So, will I go back there? Yea, I just might. I really do love the concept. But next time I'll be more careful about requesting something that might take a tiny bit of thought. read more

Pizza was awesome, restaurant was clean, service was speedy-- the only complaint I have is the night staff. The girl with glasses behind the counter was extremely rude to my friend and I and not wearing a name tag so I had to ask another employee. Stephanie has an immensely bad attitude and really shouldn't be working in food service if she's going to continue to act like it's an inconvenience to make pizza at a job where she's literally getting paid to make pizza. The girl I talked to named Brittany Beltran informed me that she was her manager and was very friendly and apologized on the employee's behalf. Brittany has an outstanding attitude and really made up for Stephanie's shortcomings when it came to quality customer service. The rest of the blaze pizza staff was also quick and courteous, but Stephanie did not fall in line with them. I get it, food service is one hell of a job and I may have just caught her on a bad day, but something as little as politely asking for extra cheese while making sure to say please and thank you shouldn't be the thing that sets you off when it's your job.
