I haven't been here in years, but I'm sorry to say it's gone downhill a bit. The pizza still tastes good, but my fingertips were covered in black after I finished my pizza and that never happened before. I get the sense that cleaning here isn't a top priority. The whole place just feels dirtier overall. There used to be a person going around wiping down tables - none of that was happening when I was there today. I'm sorry to say I won't be back - at least not to this location.

I love building my own pizza here. They have a great lunch special M-T from open until 4pm. It's a pick 2 and I like to get the half pizza and salad. It comes with a drink and it's a lot of food. I highly recommend getting the goat cheese. It's amazing. The staff is very nice and helpful. The dining area is very clean. They have fountain drinks (Coke) and lemonade with free refills.

Decided to give Blaze a try again since it had been years since having it. This time I got delivery so I cannot comment much on service or the locations ambiance, but I will speak on the food! Presentation for my BYO personal pizza was beautiful even being delivered and it taste pretty good. I also enjoyed the cheese sticks. Not my favorite pizza, but Will probably try again.

Went here Tuesday night with some friends. Parking wasn't too bad considering the lot shares with multiple business in the plaza. Blaze is basically a build your own type pizza establishment. You tell the worker behind the bar what you want and they'll build it for you. The workers seem all cheerful and fast at their designated position. Consider it being on a taco Tuesday night, the ambiance was eclectic. Semi noisy but not too bad.

I learned this month that there is a Blaze in Winter Park! My friend and I came here for dinner and a yap and I decided this time to do a build your own. If you've never been to Blaze before imagine a chipotle but for pizza! You can pick between a red or white sauce and a variety of cheeses, meats, and veggie toppings, so there really is something for everyone! They also have gluten free crust options if you or anyone you know has sensitivities. The team assembling the pizzas were all so super sweet and patient while I figured out what exactly I wanted to put on my pizza. Ultimately I decided on a white sauce with Parmesan & mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, red onions, chopped garlic (as a garlic girly does), roasted red peppers, and and olive oil drizzle as my finisher. By the time we found a seat and got settled our pizzas were already done, as it was pretty quiet in there when we arrived. Shortly after though the crowd picked up for dinner but the tables are spread out enough to where we never felt like others were on top of us or like we couldn't hear each other speak. My pizza was crispy and flavorful, and what could be better than a pizza of your own creation??

I was so surprised that this place was so inexpensive and delicious! The line to order went a bit fast so I didn't get to see all that they had to offer but I'll check out their website to see what else I can try. I thought they didn't add enough cheese but I was wrong. The pizza was so yummy!!! It was so good that I even ate the crust. The Greek salad was amazing they put the dressing on throughout the salad so I didn't have to mix it. It was so good, like wow what a great salad. The staff was nice and the location was perfect. It's in a busy plaza but finding a spot to park wasn't bad. It's in the place that subway use to be and they didn't a great job remodeling it. You can't even tell. Will definitely be back. I think my kids will love it.

Pizza was nice and crispy. I enjoyed it. I tried their spicy red sauce and topped it with some spicy oil. We got 4 personal pies for around $20 with my kids school coupon, buy 1 get 1, so really good deal. We tried to do their survey for free dessert but that's redeemed on next purchase. Only thing was bathroom wasn't kept up and soap was either close to empty or device hardly gives anything even after trying a couple times. So I agree with a previous reviewer on that. Place gets busy busy but line does go fast.

We stopped in because we had a buy one get one coupon and ordered two build your pizzas as a mid day snack. Both of our pizzas were good as we completely customized them to our liking. It was a quick order as they were not busy. Service here is good as you order up front and then wait at your table for your pizza to be done.

I ordered the Japanese BBQ Wrap (low net carb tortilla with romaine, roasted chicken, napa cabbage, carrots, avocado, crispy wontons, Bachan's Japanese BBQ Sauce, & teriyaki dressing). It featured tofu (the menu says almond crusted, but it wasn't), house made lentil sausage, buttermilk ranch dressed kale, spicy aioli, on a brioche bun. It's on toasted sourdough and came with our choice of side (oven baked sweet potatoes). The chicken salad itself was full of herbs and stood out! The sweet potatoes were also spiced and were a treat, not an afterthought. I loved the aioli dip that came with them and found myself dipping everything in it! I also got a matcha and an iced cortado. The matcha was fab- with a seasonal blueberry syrup. The coffee was actually a bit of a disappointment. It tasted burnt and we didn't love it. I noticed they offered a Boxed Lunch combo that included a half-brick focaccia sandwich, a choice of side, chips, and a cookie. Under the Soups & Sides section of the menu, I saw soups, salads, fruit, chips, and bread listed, so I asked if I could get the Kale Caesar Salad as my side. I was told it wasn't considered a side. That struck me as a little odd since it was listed under "Soups & Sides," but I didn't press the issue and instead ordered the sandwich and salad separately. I do wish there had been a sandwich-and-salad combo option, especially since it's Florida and 100 degrees outside--hot soup wasn't exactly calling my name that day! The Ghost Pepper Chicken sandwich was a bit dry, and I didn't notice much Swiss cheese or enough ghost pepper bang sauce to add much heat or moisture. On the plus side, the focaccia bread was fantastic, and the sandwich was piled high with sliced chicken. Even the half-brick size was plenty filling. The Kale Caesar Salad was much smaller than expected and, ironically, seemed like it would have fit perfectly as a combo side. It also contained more romaine than kale, with just a sprinkling of baby kale on top. The Caesar dressing, however, was excellent--rich, creamy, and full of flavor. At $6 for a small bowl, I was hoping for a little more substance. I also treated myself to the Belgian Chocolate Salted Caramel Cookie that would have come with the Boxed Lunch combo, and it was outstanding. Soft, gooey, and packed with flavor. Bricks & Bowls has a pleasant outdoor seating area in a courtyard setting, with tables shaded by large umbrellas. Just keep in mind that there is no indoor seating, and even with the shade, it can be pretty warm during a Florida summer. Overall, it was a decent first experience with some highlights and a few disappointments. The food had some strong points, particularly the focaccia bread, dressing, and cookie, but at around $20 for a quick-service lunch, I left feeling that the value didn't quite match the price.

From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant we were greeted by a very nice older gentleman who ensured we found a seat within minutes. Definitely order MORE of the wontons- those are a 5-star starter. I ordered the Crab Benny for my meal and my friends ordered the Steak and Eggs, the braised tacos, and the knife and fork breakfast sandwich. My dish was the perfect portion and quite filling without feeling super heavy. My friend's braised pork tacos with the street corn were perfect. My other girlfriend's order, the breakfast sandwich, was a generous plate and brimming with flavor. However, the steak and eggs entrees fell flat for my other 2 friends. One ordered her steak medium and the meat was overcooked. The other ordered medium rare, and while it certainly looked like it, the steak was entirely too tough to enjoy. I also noticed that the breakfast potatoes were a little hard. We shared our disappointment with Matthew and he did his very best to accommodate us and correct the error. The customer service was amazing, I was very pleased with how they handled the feedback, especially after they comped the two steak meals and took the time to take our critiques seriously. Where the steaks fell flat, our server Matthew and the manager, Alexis, saved the day! Despite that mishap, the entire experience was extremely pleasant and I look forward to returning and giving another entree a shot.

Our high-top caught the steady breeze of people cycling in and out, trading blasts of humid Florida air with AC, but it was manageable enough. Our server was solid and attentive, though the kitchen had a couple of operational hiccups. I ordered the fried green tomatoes to start, but they were forgotten until after our main plates had already landed on the table. When they arrived, the execution was decent. The batter didn't adhere well and slipped off the tomatoes, though the accompanying sauce carried the dish nicely. On the drink side, the virgin blackberry lemonade hit the mark completely: balanced, tart, and refreshing. The breakfast mains were where the kitchen redeemed itself. I built my meal around the bacon and mushroom omelette, which was formidable. It was fully loaded with bacon, cheese, peppers, onions, and mushrooms without feeling greasy or heavy. They had run out of biscuits, which was surprising for a brunch spot mid-shift, so I subbed in sourdough toast. The undisputed star of the meal was the side of cheese grits. I am notoriously particular about grits, restaurants almost always serve them under-salted, gluey, or watery, requiring a table-side overhaul of butter, salt, and pepper. These were dialed in straight from the kitchen. The texture, dairy integration, cheese ratio, and baseline seasoning were spot-on without needing a single touch of salt or pepper. Minor timing and stock quirks aside, BriarPatch remains a reliable staple. I left full, satisfied, and reminded why it is always worth keeping in the local Park Ave rotation.
