I LOVED the decor, atmosphere and particularly all the live plants in the place! Super clean with a refreshing energetic vibe! ALL the food I saw around me looked super fresh! The service was friendly & I appreciated the fact that they had enough staff so that the waiters didn't look stressed or running all around! They were relaxed so the entire experience was pleasant. There's an option to sit inside or outside and interesting things for sale and to look at without the place being overcrowded. The food was delicious! I had the salad and loved every bite! The lemon vinaigrette was smooth and had just the perfect amount of lemon! The prices are very reasonable especially for a farm to table, healthy restaurant! I highly recommend this place, especially to my vegan friends! Vegan restaurants are few and far between around here so this is a great choice since the salads are full and not just lettuce with a side slice of cucumber I definitely will go back when in Baton Rouge! Cheers!

Very cute interior and outdoor dining area. Great for dates or for a friend or family dinner. Would recommend making a reservation. The crab cakes, braised short ribs and all the spreads and breads are great options to start with. The boards are a good amount of food and are always fresh and tasty. Service is always great too. They sometimes have a live artist on the patio for some live music. Parking is pretty limited, especially on the weekends.

What a unique, charming, top notch food and service kind of place. A Diamond in the Rough, nestled under the bridge area and you stepped into a legend. The best Tom Kah we had and it's not even a Thai restaurant. Each and every dish was perfect. Should have taken food pictures but was too busy enjoying :)))

I went to BLDG 5 with my husband for our anniversary dinner and it was my first time there! We ordered the crabcake appetizer, which is absolutely my favorite thing on the entire menu! Like 10 out of 10 good and we also ordered the Mexican board which was really really good. The service was amazing. Bartenders were great. We had several espresso martinis and we left very full, very happy! And I've been back since with my mom, so I highly recommend trying BLDG 5!

Had dinner at 4pm so there wasn't a crowd and our waitress was so welcoming and inviting. She explaining everything to us, answered all our questions, & was not upset and was really knowledgeable about the menu. The food was a 10/10! The veggies were seasoned to perfection and the steak was cooked perfectly. The hummus was tasty as well. Pita bread was cooked to perfection. The drinks were flowing and a time was had. Very comforting atmosphere.

If I could give more than five stars, I definitely would! This place was amazing. From the food to the service to the decor and ambience, they really know what they're doing and do it well. My husband and I were in town visiting family and decided to go out to dinner and just had the best time. The dish that we wanted was out so we went with the steak and potato board. I really don't think you could go wrong in what you choose here. We will definitely be back!

I popped up here on a Friday around lunch time. Parking under the overpass is tricky, however there is a new paid parking lot with a good amount of parking spots. The place is nicely decorated with indoor and outdoor seating. It was cold on this day so there were no outside diners. I ended up sitting at the bar because the wait for a table for 1 was about 20-30 minutes. I advise to make reservations by phone. The service was nice, friendly, and fast. I tried a sample of the Pomegranate Blueberry Ginger mocktail. It was good but not sweet enough! My server gave me a shot of simple syrup which was a great addition. My server and a guest both recommended the Baja Chicken bowl. I enjoyed the bowl but it wasnt enough food for the price. I would come back and try the dinner menu. They also sell great items and there is a bakery like section.

We dined in on a Thursday night. They don't take reservations and despite the restaurant being busy (parking was tough) we were seated right away. We enjoyed fast, friendly service. The food was fresh and flavorful. There are so many customizable options for the dishes dependent on your tastes and dietary preferences/restrictions. We would definitely return.

Food and drinks were amazing met old friends stayed for hours music was amazing too. The wait was a bit long but we ended up dining at the bar and enjoying ourselves. Our bartender was a great server for us. Sadly I forget her name!

If you're looking for a West Coast Vibe on the Mississippi, BLDG5 is your place. My friends were looking for a light, delicious meal before bowling USBC Nationals. We ordered the cocktails, crab cakes (delicious-perfect aoili and green side), protein bowls, charcuterie and burrata boards. The standout dish was the burrata board! Annie (server) and Sarah (bartender) were very sweet, helpful, and attentive! They added to the great experience we had at BLDG5.

This place was amazing! My coworkers and I needed a night on the town! The food and ambiance were perfect! The drinks topped everything off. I must say this place stays busy. I made reservations, I suggest you do as well. Also the park lot is tight so come a little early.

This place has one of the best patios in town -- seriously such a cozy vibe. I love that they have those big sliding windows and doors that open the whole space up when the weather's nice. It's the perfect spot for a sunny lunch or a breezy evening dinner. The food always tastes so fresh and clean -- everything on the menu feels like it's made with real, wholesome ingredients. Their homemade sauces are one-of-a-kind (you can tell they put thought into every flavor), and the cocktails are just as good! They make their own juices in-house, and it really makes a difference. Whether you're coming for brunch, dinner, or just drinks on the patio, it's always such a good experience. Definitely one of those places that makes you feel good every time you go.

    Do they take reservations?

Yes, they take reservations, but it is not a reservation-only restaurant.

Does BLDG5 have happy hour specials? If so what are they? Thanks!

I don't believe they do, but I found their wine and drinks to be somewhat reasonably priced normally for the quality.

The windows are covered with curtains so you can't see inside and that's a small detail I would change. It's not very inviting. There was a lounge area but the piano was way too loud so I ended up at the main bar which was a great vibe. The place was mostly empty, which is unfortunate because it's a really great location and the place a beautiful. I think the concept needs to be switched up a bit. The Brussels Sprouts were delicious, but if you don't like goat cheese, make sure to ask them to leave it out. The meatballs were just okay, and lacked and special flavor. They were also slightly overcooked. It's a nice place, but needs some work to be great.

The Tuscan Meatballs were a rough start--they arrived ice cold. Even worse, when we sent them back, they clearly just reheated the same plate (the meatball with a bite out of it was still there) instead of bringing out a fresh dish. For the price, that's a pretty big disappointment. For entrees, I had the Smash Burger, which was fairly bland and nothing to write home about. However, the Lobster Ravioli was incredible--a total 10/10--and the Brussels sprouts were excellent as well. We finished with the cheesecake, which was also a highlight. The atmosphere was nice, staff were pretty good and it's a very popular place to grab a drink. While the food definitely improved as the night went on, the "hit or miss" nature of the meal and the service mishap with the appetizer made it hard to justify the price tag. We likely won't be back.

Both good choices. Overall, the wine pairing was okay. I like the appetizer pairing of a nice light, white bubbly prosecco. The second was a classic red wine to pair with a steak. The last wine is where I was not impressed. It was a dessert wine that had a smell similar to a distilled whiskey. I took a sip and decided I rather another glass of prosecco. Shout out to the server who was accommodating and swapped out that glass for what I requested. He didn't have to, but he did! The food was mouth watering delicious. We started off with the sauteed shrimp and the piquillo peppers. THANK GOD the piquillo peppers are a Solera regular. I will be getting them again. The shrimp were just okay, nothing out of this world. Second course was the filet with polenta. It was absolutely delicious and packed with flavors that complimented each other well. Final course we had the rum bread pudding and the manchego cheesecake. The manchego cheese is definitely a rich and an acquiring flavor. Without the blueberry sauce, you would think its just a slab of cheese. The rum bread pudding was spectacular. I have never loved a rum sauce with my bread pudding, but the Solera one kept me wanting more. Overall and enjoyable experience, with a couple minor foods that lack the razzle dazzle of a 5 star review.
