    Egg Tarts and Pork Pies
    Lauren D.

Okay... Compared to the menu that illustrates all of the baked goods offered, the actual items were a lot smaller. Their croissant was nearly half the size of the ones at the bakeries that we usually go to for the same price. If you're planning on stopping by, I recommend getting their freshly baked items in the glass window and not the prepackaged items. Their egg tarts and chicken pies looked really good and well baked compared to everything else. The interior is very small and cramped due to all of the boxes that they keep out in the open. The shop is located in a popular plaza so it can get crowded, but you shoulder be able to find a spot with everyone going in and out at all times. Not bad.

In a busy strip mall next to Chicha San Chen, a busy spot and parking can be a challenge. I came late in the day and many of the baked goods were picked over. Sadly, they were out of red bean moon cakes. I paid $6 for a single small moon cake. This place has delicious baked goods, but not sure if I'll be back to this location.

PSA!! Check your moon cakes for mold?? Everything I wrote below was after I ate 1 with my family and it was good. Though my friend bought some with me and one of hers was moldy! They don't make these cakes at this bakery and they were moving tons of these out so I wouldn't blame them for missing this but !!! I gifted a box so it'd be pretty embarrassing in the slight chance those also have mold - though the other 7 we have are fine. --------- Pre Mold Discovery: Came here for moon cakes only and we got the goods! The workers speak enough english to get by, and were very patient with me and my friend being indecisive for 15 minutes and bumping into all of them while they were restocking! Very sweet ladies. -Mini moon cakes were ~$6 EA -Full size were ~$12-16 EA Lots of premade gift box sets. You can also buy singular moon cakes by filling and # of egg yolks. I bought individual cakes and they gave me a gift box and nice bag to put them in, so you don't have to buy their premade sets for a gift box :) A few were sold out already, but I got: - White Lotus 2 Yolk - Red Lotus 2 Yolk - Red Bean 1 Yolk

Great pineapple buns and egg tarts. Quick service and very casual ambiance, making it easy to grab your pastries for on the go. I got both types of egg tarts and loved both. Crispy and great texture but not too sweet! Pineapple bun was hot and fresh around 11 am.

White lotus with 2 egg yolks

I bought the moon cake, the texture is so moist but the egg yolk is a little dry for me. It's a little bit pricy but it's worth it because of the taste. They also have the lower sugar moon cakes for you who are on diet. The service is so fast and I think they need to extend the place because the space is too small.

I grew up eating Chestnut cake from Kee Wah Bakery and throughout 20 years + and at multiple different locations the quality is always great. I like to get my bread and birthday cakes from Kee Wah. The cakes are never overly sweet and it's a simple sponge cake with fresh cream and fruit. I don't feel guilty when I have a big slice. Great quality baked goods.

This is a nice bakery with lots of various selections. Tried the following: - Almond Butter - Bolo Bun - Pine-Green - Pine-Custard - Pine-Milk - Custard All were pretty good and fresh. Come early during the day if you want to have the most options before they run out!

Sweet potato bun (?)- forgot the name but it's a long roll with purple sweet potato in it. Again, not overly sweet and very enjoyable. Their breads are very soft and fluffy. I hope I would have tasted it while we were in the area so I could exchange it for something else. When I opened the clear box it let out a not so pleasant smell. It looked "ok" so I tasted it but it tasted as bad as it smelled. As I looked closer it has some small mold spores at different areas. If you're not from the area try their items before you drive off would be my suggestion to avoid having a similar experience.

It had been a long time since I had had them and was in the area. I was not leaving without stopping by. I finally found parking and walked in, they had their different bread on display with some having samples available for you to try. They are very casual grab and go type of place. I didn't find exactly what I was looking for, but got something similar. I got a chocolate roll cake and when going to checkout I saw these huge muffin looking like bread. The guy behind the counter was very nice and trying to explain to me what the were but he didn't speak much English, instead he called a younger person to help me and she was super friendly and helpful. I decided to try one and I wish I would've purchased more than one since it was so fluffy and tasty! I came back in a different occasion and the didn't have that fluffy muffin thing and it sounds like it's a Saturday thing. I will be back on a Saturday to try to get ahold of at least one.

As you enter the bakery, the cashier is straight ahead. To the right are shelves with freshly baked breads and pastries. Each item is individually wrapped, this is worthy of mentioning! There are no concerns that other customers have touched the food. I purchased two Black Forest pastries, two rolls topped with nuts and seeds and some Red Bean Buns. The prices are very reasonable (photos attached). They are located on the first floor of the Diamond Plaza shopping center in Rowland Heights. There are several restaurants and shops and the parking lot is usually very busy. I did notice a driveway to underground parking lot, fortunately I didn't have to go there, I found parking near the bakery. We didn't enjoy our pastries with coffee in the morning. I thought, what about a sweet potato cake. Found two Korean bakers that had sweet potato cakes on the menu. It was kismet this bakery was just down the street from a restaurant we chose for his birthday dinner. I called and the owners took down my name and the fact I'll be there around 7 at night. Didn't even take down payment info or number. I got there a little after 7 & saw they had sweet potato cakes left. Reasonably priced too! $40 for larger and $30 for smaller. I thought $30 would work for just 4 of us but for $10 extra, my partner thought we should splurge. The owner remembered me from the phone call and addressed me by name. While his wife was ringing me up, her husband came up to me with a bag of bread to throw in. That was so sweet. With their service, variety and price point, we'll be back. The cake was delicious too.
