Got hit w a sugar craving and swerved straight into Duke Bakery. Scooped up an Uji Matcha roll and some Milk Bread... both super fluffy, like the bread equivalent of a cloud that went to culinary school. Chinese bakeries seriously have softness down to a science. The selection was kinda meh, but to be fair, I showed up in the evening when everything good had probably already been adopted by earlier carb hunters. Guess I'll just have to come back for round two. Parking is absolute chaos!!! There are plenty of spots and even an underground garage... but somehow it's still like battling for the last dumpling at dim sum. Proceed w caution (and patience)!!!

This bakery is located at the Diamond Plaza. It is shared with Cotti Coffee and Hey Chicken. They have variety of unique pastries. You can even sample some of pastries before purchasing. I tried Duke bakery in Pasadena years ago but it was closed down. I purchased Summer Snow and Carlbeli pastries after sampling. Service was okay. The cashier from Cotti was able to take care of my purchase as the person working for Duke Bakery was not available. Ambiance is clean. Overall, I really didn't like the pastries I purchased. Maybe I chose the wrong pastries. I am not sure if I will return.

Little bakery that shares space with a chicken restaurant in a busy plaza. They have fresh bread with many variations. The portions are big than usual and tasty.

This place has an aroma of fresh pastries. Haven't tried it yet but when my party came in that's all we smell. Freshness! I'm definitely coming back to order their pastries.

4+ Located in a really popular strip mall in Rowland Heights (lots of busy eateries and the traffic seems to be always pretty frenetic here). This bakery shop is connected to the businesses on each side of it. When you walk in, it's like one of those places that have a pretty solid selection of baked goods and takeaway bites. I came here right after I had dinner in this same lot because I wanted to grab some baked goods for the next day. I got some of the choco & blue mt. coffee bread and one of the banana lovers pastries. The goods here are good to great and would comeback to get some of their milk bread to try in some sandwiches, etc.

First time trying this place. Got the "Durian crepe cake" to go. Got home and tried it and it was sour, both taste and smell. Very disappointing. Also the crepe shouldn't have broken in half when I sliced it, it supposed to be smooth like crepe. The cake is days old product. Never going back!!

Pastries are made fresh and good texture to it. You can purchase six baked goods for about $30.00 total. Service is pleasantly simple and quick. Good ambiance to dine-in with coffee or tea.

Came across this bakery in the Diamond Plaza in Rowland Heights and decided to get a loaf of their milk bread. The store is very nice and spacious. Instead of using trays, there are mini carts for customers. There are many free samples for customers to try. They also sell drinks. I ended up only getting a loaf of milk bread as planned even though I was tempted to get others after trying the samples. I do need to control myself when it comes to carbs! The milk bread was really good with a nice texture although $6 for eight slices of bread seems a bit pricey.

I found out about this place while checking out the Diamond Plaza. They do have samples to try which is how I got their taro bread and cream cheese filled bread. They also do cakes which alot of people were getting and they were almost sold out late in the day. Bread is soft and not too sweet. They have a little cart if you want to get alot of breads to try. It also has a boba shop and a chicken shop inside as well.

Duke Bakery shelves are bare at night. Lady at the counter is super nice. They have a $5 minimum for credit card. I was forced to get 2 things but they were both very good. First the strawberry creme bun was soft and the creme had chunks of strawberries. The Matcha bun was also very good. I would definitely get again

Such a cute bakery! They have samples of their bread out front and center so you can try it before buying. The lady who owned the store was so pleasant and kind. She offered suggestions as to what to get but we ended up getting the chocolate and walnut cookies. To be honest, they were dry and crumbly, not my type - but I'm sure these cookies have fans...I just prefer my cookies moist. All the other products looked and tasted so yummy. I'll come back and try their other stuff. Everything else looks so delectable.

A litte bit pricey , If you are used to super sweet and unhealthy Chinese pastry, this place is a fresh take! They offer not sugary bread made with natural grape ferment (not instant yeast). The bread is flavorful and soft, tastes great with the fillings. The fillings are very high quality ingredients. One of my favorites is the sesame bread is so good , and I like Matcha red bean too . The selection was small and there weren't a lot of things to choices but the quality of bread was good.

Duke Bakery is my favorite Chinese bakery. Although its prices are higher than those of other places, the quality is always good and fresh. We also like its bread options, which are delicious and healthy. I especially like their matcha bread and the taro ube bread. They are big, heavy, and freshly baked. I will surely stock up on their bread when I go to the Diamond Plaza in Rowland Heights.

A few weeks beforehand, I stopped by to ask about their sheet cake options because we were hoping to order the cappuccino flavor. At the time, I was told it was available, but when it came time to place the order, they said they no longer offered it, even though it was still listed on the ordering sheet. We ended up ordering the tiramisu cake instead, and it turned out to be a great choice. Although it wasn't the flavor we originally wanted, everyone really enjoyed it. They also did a beautiful job decorating the top with an assortment of fresh fruit, which made it look perfect for the celebration. Overall, I was really happy with how everything turned out. The staff was friendly throughout the ordering process, and the cake looked beautiful and tasted great. I'm glad we decided to use JJ Bakery for such a special occasion and would definitely order from them again.

Most everything costs between $3-5. What a steal! I ordered their new item -- a banana latte made with their own banana syrup and cold foam to go with a double shot of espresso.
