Come here if you want to waste money, have the worst experience, get hurt, tip for Curtesy not service and top of nothing and breathe in bleach. They will book over 5 people at the same time even though there's two of them. Constantly people walking in saying they were told to come in at the same time. You feel the pressure of them moving from one person to the next. I ended up leaving halfway because I felt bad that there were three people waiting and two that had left. and it wasn't worth me paying this much for this rushed, painful, unenjoable experience. I told him he didn't have to paint them before he started painting because he's busy to help him out commit to all the people he committed to. I had no nail polish on when I walked in so he pretty much just hurt me removing cuticle really fast but I still got charged full amount even with not even a clear coat and he still asked for tip. speeding up the process hurting me so much and doing a horrible job on top of all the pressure clients starting back and forth at each other and horrible air to breathe in. I feel bad because they're older and I want to be able to respect older people but no, they should learn their lesson by now. to be more organized, not overbook. How can this place only not have 5 stars? I had a pedicure from Danny. He was amazing! My girlfriend had her pedicure from Kevin and hers was amazing too. Cindy did an awesome manicure. Danny is wiz ingrown toenails. Not only do they take their time and pay attention to detail, they give you a kick ass scrub and massage. Then they do the parrafin treatment after the mani pedi and shoulder massage/leg massage after pedi respectively. They are so friendly! They talk TO you instead of talking to each other ABOUT you! The customer service was there. The skill level was there. The price point was there. They went way above and beyond. There is no way I'd ever visit another salon when visiting LA. I love this place. Old school vibe and community. Only nail salon in LA that is open till 10pm. Perfect for after office hours. Asian owned and operated too. The business owners work very hard and have been running for over 10 years. They offer many services for great prices. Most of their clients have been going for years to get their mani pedis, along with other spa services like waxing and massage. I had called in advance on a Wednesday evening for a Saturday morning appointment, and I must confess I was a little hesitant about this salon due to the conflicting reviews. I was there last night only because I desperately needed my gels redone before leaving for a getaway and this was the only place that would take me so late in the evening. After reading the reviews I was anxious but out of options. It was a lovely experience and I am hard to please. Lee/Lyn gave me THE BEST least destructive gel removal I've received in my life with no directions. Usually manicurist maul the gel off my nails and greatly damage them. She was gentle and they looked great. Allie was a beautiful man who gently wrangled my stumps. Give them a try especially if you need a late evening pampering. First visit was for a fill and I was shocked by the price and where the job was done it wasn't done super well. I went back for a second time and got a clear dip on my nails with a gel polish on top to keep my natural nails stronger. I'm not sure how a dip peels off but after 2 days I've lost 4. Went for a mani / pedi appointment today at 545. Was put into a chair right away with very hot water & by the time someone came over to start 20-30 min later the water was cold. The woman doing my pedi must have forgotten to tell someone to start my mani because my pedi finished (got the slightly longer one with all the bells & whistles, including paraffin that literally scalded my skin) & nobody had started on my mani yet. The woman, realizing that she had made a mistake, said "sorry" someone will be over in 15 minutes. 15 minutes!? The woman next to me arrived after me and had her complete mani/pedi service completed by the time my pedi was done. She had someone start on her mani before mine. Ridiculous. The woman who finished my pedi didn't even get the gel removal presoak going to save time (I had already complained by this time) - just let me sit there and continue to waste my time. I looked at the time on my phone - it was 745pm at that moment - I had ALREADY been there for 2 hours! That is ridiculous. Finally someone came over to start the process of gel removal. I sat for another 10 minutes which apparently wasn't long enough because the scraper tool wasn't even making a dent in the gel. So he pulled out the drill file thing & filed off the gel and the top layer of my nails which are now incredibly thin and bendable, leaving them prone to cracks, chips & breaks. After finishing my mani the guy didn't even apply lotion & the work was sloppy because he was rushing. What time did I leave? 845pm!!! Three @$!%ing hours!!! Absolutely absurd waste of my time for $95. I missed dinner & wasn't able to get anything done that I needed to do. I'm so beyond pissed off. Unacceptable. Also - FYI - last time I was here one of the guys gave me a pedi (sorry don't have his name) & during the massage he ran his hand all the way up to the middle of my thighs! Inappropriate!! SCARS UNDER MY EYEBROWS. I wish I could give zero stars. I used to love this place before they hired Kevin. He's an actually predator. I used to go there for years and a woman would do my eyebrows every time. Then Kevin was hired and he did my eyebrows and facial 2 years ago and started to weirdly massage me during the session. He would make inappropriate comments and he kept talking about my looks and constantly touching me more than what was appropriate. I also noticed he would brush past my privates multiple times but part me didn't want to think that was on purpose. In hindsight, this was a facial and eyebrows so no reason to be down there. He insisted I take his number in case I needed another appointment. He said to just call or text him. I know this was foolish but I was uncomfortable and wanted to get out of there so I exchanged numbers but vowed to never text him. He would text me at night and I never responded. He texted for years to zero response. As recently as this past January he was still texting to no response. I swore I would never go again. Then, this past Saturday, I was in the area and wanted eyebrows and facial. I walked in to check and see if he was there and luckily he wasn't. Well, at least I didn't see him and felt safe. So I asked for my usual, went into the private room and unfortunately, he walked into the room to do my eyebrows and facial. I should have left immediately but I thought, "it's been a long time. I'm already here. If he tries to get fresh I will tell him to stop and leave." When he saw me, he had an immediate bad attitude. I was trying to tell him how I wanted my eyebrows done and he cut me off like, "yeah, yeah, you want manly! Not too feminine so you can look good for your boyfriend!" He was slamming stuff around the room like he was pissed at me for not responding to his texts. Then he starts the eyebrow session and he is forcefully jerking my head around and ripping the wax really carelessly. He badly ripped off the skin under my eyebrows which left huge scars on my face. I'm hoping it was just the first layer and doesn't turn into a permanent scar. When I said something about it, he just said, "just put aloe vera on it!" This was a horrible experience and this man is extremely catty, careless, rude and spiteful. I'm unsure if calling will help because I struggle to communicate with everyone in English. Don't get a wax here. Lady was very nice and well spoken but I didn't like her method. She didn't have the strips pre cut so the wax would slightly cool while she cut a strip and it just wouldn't catch everything. She did do smaller sectioning which I liked bc it helped with the pain but i'd rather the pain for better results :( She also burned a very very sensitive part. It's my first full day and I already see growth. Also, a completely different women did my mani/pedi a few days before. Great pedicure but horrible manicure. I guess bc I didn't want polish or acrylic she didn't care. My cuticles are still peeling as I type and I had to buff them myself once I got home.
