This was my first time out to this hidden gem and let me just say, I cannot wait for warm summer nights out here! This will be a go to for my friends and I. With it being so close to King Louie's volleyball club, it's a great place to get together and hangout before or after a game. We visited on a Friday night and got a seat at the bar. Our service was quick and friendly. Our server Cassie was sweet and even made me a drink off the menu! I highly recommend this place for get togethers or really just anything else. I just made it out to Blond Squirrel with some coworkers for the first time yesterday (a Thursday) evening and was impressed! This place is BIG. We sat out on the covered patio, which is on a different level than the sand volleyball courts (I think there were 4 courts). We were there from about 4:30-7 PM. There weren't happy hour menus and I didn't bother to ask about it. I had a 9 oz glass of 14 hands cabernet for $8, which seemed an appropriate price for a glass of the house red. Others at my table got beer. The chips and queso, soft pretzels, and chicken salad wrap ($13 with a side of your choice) were all very good. Pricing seemed appropriate. I have never heard of this place until a friend of mines wanted to celebrate her birthday party here. I love the atmosphere. I didn't get a chance to try the food because the event was upstairs and from what I hear the food that we received isn't what's on their menu. Either way, the food was great and the venue is very nice. This would be a nice place to throw an event. Specially over the summer. I went to the Blind Squirrel with family on a Thursday night and it was very crowded. It didn't take long to be seated, but it was a while before we were able to place our order. We started with the Buffalo chicken dip, which we devoured. I had the spinach chicken salad wrap which came with a hard boiled egg with bacon wrapped around it. I also got the Brussels sprouts on the side that had bacon and Parmesan cheese. The wrap was very large and delicious. The Brussel sprouts were okay, but a bit too heavy. I went here today when they opened at 11:00 to see the noon kickoff of both the USC / Clemson and OSU / Michigan game. My son and I sat at the bar and they accommodated us by putting the games side by side (very nice). We sat there watching both games, drinking and eating and enjoying ourselves, but close to 3:00 just before the KY / U of L game (with both games in the 4th quarter and close, they wanted to turn off the games to turn on the KY game. He said we could go back to South Carolina or Ohio to watch the games. We were among about 8 other patrons (10 total) that were watching our games, so they left 2 tv's on our game till the end. Several had to stand behind us to see the end of the games. I doubt if I ever come back here again after being treated like my business didn't matter. read more

Need to try the Blind Squirrel again. I believe it has potential. The food is good. The service is sub par. I was here for drinks and apps one night. Pretzels and beer cheese are really good. The cheese sticks were as expected. Full bar and a decent beer selection makes it a great place for drinks. There are plenty of tv's so it's a good spot to watch a game. Servers seemed hit or miss. For awhile they came by like every minute or so which was annoying, but then when they were needed for a refill or another app order, they were nowhere to be found. I'll be back again because the other reviews are generally excellent. Next time, change my mind and get to 5 stars! read more

Super nice 21 and over bar for events! They are gracious hosts to all. They have a cigar bar and "cigar lockers" a personal humidor! So cool and I will have to bring my cigar smokin' peeps to try out this fabulous bar! The food looks amazing. We had apps only and enjoyed them. I'm writing this on behalf of my husband. IF YOURE LATINO, LOOK LATINO, ARE BROWN or anything but white I wouldn't recommend this place at all. My husband is an engineer and travels for work. ALL THE TIME. I suggested he try this place based of all the "awesome" reviews this place had, and also because it was walking distance. He got there right before shift change and sat alone at the bar. He was completely ignored THE WHOLE ENTIRE TIME. If he wanted a drink, he'd have to wave them down. He had 4 empty cups in front of him at 1 time... they didn't even have the decency to take any empty glasses away. He had 6 drinks.... In 6 hours....... He left right before 10. This is an over 180 pound man. EVERYONE around him was getting served. I WITNESSED IT by FaceTime. "Everything okay need anything else" to absolutely everyone BUT HIM. This was 100% discrimination. 110% to be realistic. He was the ONLY Hispanic around. I'm very very upset. I've never seen my husband so uncomfortable in my life. Please do better. I would give 5 stars for the atmosphere, but the food is a solid 2 (with an exception for the nachos). We ordered the supreme 10 inch pizza and it tasted as if it were a frozen pizza from Kroger. Meh. And you'll bloat like a balloon before you walk off the premises. Prices are a bit steep but you're paying for the atmosphere (which is awesome). We absolutely loved the nachos and loaded fries for appetizers and would definitely order those (and only those) again. The nachos were completely loaded and were enough to feed four adults. The toppings were plentiful and the chips were delicious! Others in our party ordered the chicken sandwich and it looked pretty pathetic. $13+ for a sandwich, I'd expect a lot more. It was a tiny price of chicken on a huge bun. Lots of room for improvement on the food. The establishment itself is awesome. Live music/Dj and a beautiful and HUGE sand volleyball area. We recently attended a graduation party for a friend at Blind Squirrel, and now I'm definitely a fan of this spot! It's pretty out of the way for us, as we don't live close to the area, but it's a spot I'd still like to visit again. Our friends had rented the entire upstairs of Blind Squirrel for the party. That area is awesome! The room was perfect for the party, it has its own bar, and there's an awesome outdoor seating area that overlooks the sand volleyball courts. I did a quick walk through of the rest of the space as well, and it all seemed just as great. The party was catered by Blind Squirrel, so we had a chance to try lots of different items. And they were all great! Some of my favorites were the Buffalo Chicken Dip, Pretzels & Beer Cheese, and the pizza (we had several different kinds). They also have tons of options at the bar, so you can pretty much order anything you would want. Though at this point I've only had one visit to Blind Squirrel, I would definitely recommend it! Love this place! We stumbled on this place while browsing yelp for a good Sunday dinner and were not disappointed. Can't wait to come here in the summer because their deck/patio area is awesome. It's a huge place and we had a great time. They also have a beach volleyball area outside. Their food is great, as well as beer selection and service. The menu was awesome because there were so many options and they all looked good. My sister loved her pizza, my husband loved the blackened whitefish tacos, and I loved the "grown up" grilled cheese. Service was a big 5! Excellent service from our waitress Hannah. She was super friendly and check in on us multiple times. She made great suggestions for us to order. I ordered the beet salad, the serving was huge!! The beet slices were super thick too! It was just ok. I also ordered the pimento cheese and bacon burger with the twister fries. Don't judge I wanted to try both! The burger was amazing!! May be in my top 3 favorite burgers! My mom ordered the fried shrimp and natural cut fries. Shrimp were huge! And a great size for the cost. This place is super trendy and I bet they are super busy with such an awesome outside seating area. Including a fire pit. Real cool bar area too! Summer nights would be great here. First timer and went today for lunch. I found it confusing on where to enter but my lunch companion didn't so maybe it was just a blonde moment for me. We entered through the front door, kinda obvious I suppose lol. As you enter you are greeted by the host/hostesses. It's a very open restaurant and very welcoming. I loved the layout. The tables are spaced out enough between the others so you don't feel like you are sitting on top of others. The menu has such diverse options. From pizzas, fish and burgers to hot browns. Also a great starter selection. We started out with the pickle fries w/ wasabi ranch. They are pickle spears that are sliced thin to resemble fries. They were very yummy. The wasabi ranch was spot on too. Not too wasabie either (is that even such a thing lol) At this point we were so torn on what to order. I was looking at yelp to see what other yelpers were saying. Then our awesome waitress Sierra came up and we asked what she'd recommend. She was spot on with telling us her favs and what that the sunglasses on the menu represent BS most popular items. She also said her favorite soup, chicken enchilada, was on the menu today and she'd be happy to give us a sample. I decided on the hot brown and twisted fries. The hot brown was wonderful. The only thing I'd change was the thickness of the turkey. It's kinda thick. I prefer thin sliced but that's just my preference. The flavors were spot on. The twisted fries are beer battered and seasoned in a wonderful pepper seasoning. My companion got the club (Sierra said it was her favorite) and he loved it. The pepper mayo that was served with it was outstanding! Who'd of though pepper mayo would blend together so well. He also had twisted fries. I absolutely loved the atmosphere. The music playing was perfect too. Some may find it too loud for a Sunday afternoon but I enjoyed it. Great atmosphere, music, kick butt waitress with spot on service and then throw in awesome food, you've got a winner here my friends! It's a shame that the lack of attention to customers has finally made it to the Blind Squirrel: Went to eat today and was left standing at the reception desk while 5 people watched a game on tv. When we were finally greeted we were told that it would be about 25 minutes and took our number. We waited up front and watched another couple walk in behind us and they were immediately seated. Not sure what happened but ok. We finally received our text and approached the front desk ( where we we're standing the entire time only to be told that a text was not sent. It was clearly on the phone but whatever. They shared with us that after 5 minutes we fall off of the waiting list????? What happens when you are on a 25 minute wait?? They told us they could go ahead and seat and led us out to a back porch area that had plastic and heaters set up. After a few minutes it was obvious that none of the 4 tables where people were sitting in this area had been waited on. Finally a young lady came and stated she was going to get someone working this outside room. At that point we all decided that it was probably not going to be a very good experience so we left and went elsewhere. I am not looking for a call or a free meal. You need to get your processes in order so that you don't fall in to the type of service that is plaguing many other establishments. You guys have a great venue and deserve better from your employees. read more
