Great atmosphere and good food! Not a lot of food options to chose from (only reason rating 4!) lots of good drink options!

I'll start by saying this place has amazing potential. Very open space, everything you'd want in a place to hang out and get a good bite to eat. Upon arrival the place has several entrances. You would think you would have management constantly walking the floor being a new place. No, never saw a manager once. We ordered a beer cheese burger and added bacon. The food was pretty good. The burger was ordered to be cooked medium and it was definitely well done, other than that it tasted pretty good. This was over shadowed by the fact I ordered an island mimosa and did not receive the first version of this drink until long after the food arrived. It was like a milkshake... not a mimosa. The bar staff was not only eating and drinking personal food and beverage behind the bar but also had no sense of urgency. She remade my drink and it tasted like sun screen. Do not get that drink! After waiting a total of 20+ min for the drink she never apologized and proceeded to charge me for the drink. It's so upsetting to see a place that could be a great hang out turn into such a disappointment with poor staff and clearly poor management. Slow service with tons of staff just standing around. Food took forever and was not even hot. My cheeseburger was good, but husband's pulled pork sandwich was tasteless. Music so loud conversation is nearly impossible. Won't be back.. read more

Burger was amazing. I had a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and the veggies. Would definitely get it again but what to try something new next time. Service was decent with it being so new. The atmosphere is great with plenty to do on the balcony (ping pong, corn hole, connect four, watch/play volleyball). read more

A group of friends & I met up here to see our ole high school pal play live in the band he plays in...the band btw was AWESOME!!!!! The restaurant WELL NOT SOOO MUCH! My friends arrived earlier than did I, they placed their name on the waitlist, this was @ 7:45........we waited & waited & WAITED.....then @ 9PM, they called OPEN SEATING...so we didn't get a table...NOT ONLY DID WE NOT GET A TABLE...NO ONE EVER ASKED IF WE WANTED A MENU OR EVEN NEEDED ANYTHING!!!!So our group sat by the door on the waiting bench all night to hear our friend, finally FLAGGED down someone to get an order btw which was WRONG, 25 minute wait at the BAR....there was seating in the very back...WHERE YOU COULDN'T HEAR THE BAND......it was all in all a bummer night, & btw i was in a boot & walking with a cane....... which made everything all the more TROUBLESOME......so I don't plan on going back! read more

They were very busy on our visit. No big deal, there was a big local football game on and we expected to wait for a table. We went to the bar to get a drink but it took 15 minutes for my one drink. And 15 minutes for every drink after that. They sell cigars which is awesome. But they couldn't find and ash tray and don't have matches to go with them which is strange. It took about 25 minutes to be recognized to be tendered out for said cigar. We were finally seated after about 1:15 min after being told 45 min. It took another 25 minutes for a waitress to come see us (which is after we went back up to the host to ask if we actually had a waiter). We asked for water and it never came until after we received our meal. We also asked for extra plates which didn't come until after our meal arrived. It's basically some of the worst most unapologetic service I've ever received. No offer was made for a comp nor did any upper management come see us to apologize. Basically they need to get their stuff together. The saving grace was the food. It was great. Otherwise it's chaotic and seems like they have no clue how to run their business. read more

Tried to go for Sunday funday. Place was not busy, took forever to get a table. Once we were seated at least 6 servers walked past us in the course of 15 minutes. No one asked to help us or take our order. Needless to say we can't review the food because we left. Wouldn't recommend this place if your looking for even mediocre service. read more

Really fun place and the food was very good. Would give this place 5 stars except that we had to deal with cigar smoke from a pretty far away table as we dined outside. Left with a pretty bad headache from the smoke. Hoping that they change their policy on allowing smoking. read more

Food and service were great. Would have given four stars if not for smoking on the covered patio. Three people smoking at table next to us severely hampered the experience. With a roof over us and wall behind the smoke was overwhelming. Our server was surprised they were allowed to smoke in that area. read more

Just wanna say we came in your restaurant for the 1st time on St Patrick's Day. It was fine I understand u r buzy..so we were told to go ahead & sit @ a table & they would clear it off...then your lil smart alec Jordan proceeds to tell us it's reserved ..makes us move.. so I walk up to the reservation desk & she's like uh it will be @ least 45 minutes .. ok so... Next thing we know with no seats ... somebody else is sitting there... I get it u wanna sell food ...but your lil hostess is very very very rude!!! All we wanted to do was sit down, drink @ beer & eat!!... nobody asked hey.. here's a menu ...we were just told to get up!!! Had the pizza, pulled pork burger, and several beers. All were fantastic. Much enjoyed the hospitality and friendly quick service.

Quick service as well as a well-rounded and tasty menu make this one of my favorites Louisville spots. Cigars, outdoor fireplace, cool drink menu just add to the experience. read more

After reading the reviews and a recommendation from a friend,I was interested in what my experience would be. I was more than pleased. Service, which was an issue in some of the write ups, could not have been better. We had wings, pretzels & beer cheese and the strawberry salad. Great portions and great taste. Highly recommend all. I can't wait to visit Blind Squirrel again. I went with friends and we had a great time. The food was delicious, I tried the Rumpke Mountain Nachos - so good with fresh guacamole, the Chicken Herbed Boursin Sandwich was sooooo good (highly recommend). Large beer and drink selection. My sister and I decided to try Blind Squirrel for lunch as it is conveniently located in between our work places. The atmosphere is great, albeit a little loud. Our waitress was quick and food was brought out hot, refills a plenty. Our only discrepancy is the food portions. I ordered the bacon man n cheese burger, which included a side of fries for $13. The burger was cooked and seasoned well and the mac n cheese was delicious. My sister ordered the hot brown, for the same price as my meal and was served a single piece of Texas toast, 1 slice of turkey, and no sides. For what she received in comparison to me, I would've thought her meal to be much less in price. Lesson learned! read more

My husband and I had lunch there Tuesday. The restaurant itself is very inviting when you enter. Since it was opening day it wasn't very crowded. We were seated at the table (booth) of our choice. Ciearra was our server. She was soooo kind and personable. By the time we left we felt like we had made a new friend. We ordered two burgers (Hard to narrow it down). They were delicious. Go for the twister fries. I had the beer cheese burger, my hubs had the All American. Next time I think we will split one and order one of their delicious sounding appetizers. Ciearra recommended the Nachos, which from the looks of them could have been a meal for both of us. We saw the dessert menu, but sadly had to pass. Ciearra explained the concept of this complex which is super interesting. There is outdoor seating that was very inviting, but it was too warn Tuesday. Not sure how they are going to manage the parking for all those who will beating a path to their door. We wish them success in all they do. (Ask for Ciearra.) read more

Unfortunately a terrible experience. It looks like such a fun, trendy place. Poor service on a night that was not busy with PLENTY of staff standing around by the front door. One employee played with a bouncy ball the entire time we were there, meanwhile we had to get up and refill our own drinks.Even when servers saw us at the coke machine, NO ONE offered to get us any drinks. At one point we counted 11 people standing around doing nothing. Some of us had already finished eating when others at our table had just received their food. When we finally asked for a manager, she made excuses and said that even though she knew we were having problems, that the waitress told here everything was ok and that she didn't need to come check on us. She also said that there were only 8 servers (still too many) at the front and that not all of them were servers. I'm not sure what all of their jobs were but I bet they could have filled drinks as easily as we did, particularly when they clearly weren't doing anything else. The food was mediocre at best and there was a lot of food that wasn't eaten. It's too bad because it looked like an appetizing menu. Definitely won't be visiting this place again :( read more
