Instead of feeling relaxed, I was uncomfortable the entire time. To make matters worse, the therapist giving me my massage passed gas during the session, and his stomach kept growling loudly. The smell lingered in the room and completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing experience. It was incredibly distracting, unprofessional, and honestly disgusting. My mother and my fiancé were also disappointed with their massages, so unfortunately it wasn't just my experience. We all left feeling like we had wasted our money. I entered the room and it was very neat and clean however, I noticed a paper towel covering the headrest, which is not typical for a higher end spa. I was left to undress and get onto the table. My massage therapist began working with little to no communication only asking once if I wanted more pressure. This was NOT your typical Swedish massage. There was a lot of basic motion and a couple of times the therapist straddled herself over my backside on the table - I'm guessing for leverage?? Quite frankly, I feel as if I wasted my money - I could've gone down the street to a different establishment for the same level of massage and saved $100. This is the total opposite experience and the quality of the massage did not match the rate compared to the first time I was here. I kept hoping it would get better but it did not. When I rolled over toward the end of the massage I saw that the door to my room was ajar the entire time I was in there and I could see out into the hallway so I know people could see me as they walked past. It s very clean, organized and staff is friendly and the halo salt therapy is cool. But based on this experience I will not be returning. Maybe something has changed in the last month or so? But paying over $200 for a 90 minute massage will not be happening again for me at this establishment.

And, due to the lack of efficacy in the past, the expense of getting a massage regularly didn't seem worth it. I came to Desert Serenity Float & Spa simply for the float; it's a great way to let go of tension and relax. I saw that there was one opening still available for a massage, so I decided to add that, too. I'm so glad I did. Kristina gave me the best massage I've had to date. She didn't just go through the motions, she took the time to notice pockets of tension in my body, and gave them the attention I didn't realize they needed. I left feeling no more back pain, greater range of motion, and deep gratitude to have found a massage therapist capable of helping me live a more pain-free life. Highly recommend. Regardless of your level of activity, our bodies carry tension from past injuries, from repetitive actions, and from the emotional stress we often don't realize we carry. They do require a portion of the payment to keep reservations but it is applied towards the service once you are done on the day of your appt. My masseuse was Martha and she was very friendly. My massage was really relaxing. The space was comfortable. I'll definitely be back during our next trip to Palm Springs!

I went to Bliss Chakra Spa last Saturday and was blissed out. I had the Ayurveda Balance with William. It's a 195- minute session which starts with a foot bath ritual, followed by an Abhyanga massage for 80 minutes...THE BEST MASSAGE I HAVE EVER HAD...then came the shirodhara, which was divine. I thought my session was over only to learn there was a 60-minute facial. If you get the chance you should definitely go. William is a gifted healer and musician not to be missed this lifetime. I brought my 12 year old daughter, niece and mom for massages and they accommodated all 4 of us in two sessions. It was hands down the best massage hour I've ever had in my life. Spend the extra money and go elsewhere. Edit: I've also noticed on here, Dennis the owner had said if you let him know in advance that you are coming and wish to use the amenities they will prepare and have staff come in early to let you in. That is not the case. This is our second time coming here, we had weeks of notice of our large parties both times, and still there was no one to meet us or set us up (or even let us in). We have it a second shot and disappointed both times. (Accept for the wonderful therapists, trying so hard to make it a nice experience)
