Do not recommend - especially for first timers!! I chose to get a blowout prior to attending a wedding as I had a busy schedule and wanted something taken off my plate. Stylist was not very friendly and seemed pretty annoyed that I didn't know what I wanted. I expressed that I had never had a blowout before but that I was looking for bouncy curls for a wedding. I expressed that my curls sometimes fall so I'd like them to be a little tighter. I quickly searched Pinterest and showed a bouncy curl picture... there's not a menu book like drybar or, if there is, I wasn't given it or any help or direction! I felt extremely rushed trying to decide on a style with no help. I was then taken to the shampoo bowl. Nothing special or exciting here, though it felt like it was over and done with in 5 minutes. She then blow dried my hair normally, no round brush... and then used a tiny straightener on my hair to make small curls. I was already internally upset due to her not using a round brush. When I saw the straightener I immediately was panicking that I wouldn't like my hair (I don't like tight straightener curls!). This whole process was done in like exactly 30 minutes. It was a "45 minute" appointment. She sprayed SO MUCH hair spray on my hair. They were so tight and not my style at all. I had no time (reason for doing this to begin with) to re-do it at home so I made due and spent most of the night brushing out the curls at the wedding. Never. Again. read more

I frequent blow out bars closer to my house but thought I would try Blo since they popped up on my ClassPass. I checked in and was the only one there on a Sunday morning. My stylist wasn't terribly friendly but that's not a big deal to me. I checked in and got an add on perk which she wasn't aware of but helped me find a good option out of the three choices for my hair. I booked braids which I told her I like two and just wanted a maintenance free option for the next few days. I showed her a picture from my last blowout of the type of braids I liked. What I ended up with were a lot smaller/tighter. Not really my style but it was ok since I wasn't going to an event or anything. I would probably come back again for a regular blowout but not sure about braiding. read more

I want a refund for the experience I had and hair style I received. I showed up at 2, 15 minutes early and checked in. There's two girls at the front desk who didn't acknowledge me so I said hi to them. One girl said "are you Melissa?" And I said yes and they said okay and then both continued to laugh at a video on their phone. They didn't tell me to wait or take a seat so I just stood there. Then one of the girls said "I guess I'll take you back now" in a not so friendly tone so I told her I know I'm early so I can wait I just didn't know if you wanted me to sit. Again she said "I guess I'll just take you back now" So we go to the shampoo station and I tell her "sorry I have a lot of oil in my hair, I just had a massage and they put oil in my hair". She shampoos my hair and doesn't even wash at the base of my hair so it's still oily. I decided to ignore it and hope for the best. She then proceeds to blow dry my hair and doesn't round brush it at all. Just finger dries which makes it frizzy. I didn't say anything then either. Then she asked me where I'd like my part. I put my hair in the part and notice my hair is still wet. She begins to curl my hair and this time I say "isn't my hair still wet?" And she says "i can blow dry the rest after I curl this part". She curls the bottom part where my hair is still oily and then blow drys the top a bit more. She says "is that dry enough?" And I say "as long as it's dry". She finishes the whole style before 2:30. The description for what I paid for is as follows. "Blow Out 45 min $49.00 Choose one of our signature blow outs. We'll wash your hair and have you styled to perfection. If your hair requires more time for a blow out, book our Blow Out with Extended Time. Have bonded extensions? Book our Blow Out with Bonded Extension service." Im really upset at the service I received and would like my money back. I've called and left a message with no reply. read more

I had the most amazing experience here! I was able to make an appointment just by messaging the business on Yelp, which is so convenient and appreciated. My appointment was with Adam and he could not have been more wonderful. I went in at 3:45pm and was out the door by 4:30, and left with some pretty amazing hair. After I walked in and got checked in, Adam offered me some wine, and sadly I couldn't partake (although I plan on it sometime in the future because that would make it even more fun.) He washed my hair with some great-smelling products, and gave me one of the best blow-outs my hair has ever seen. He really listened to how I wanted my hair to look, and managed to accomplish just what I was imagining. He was so much fun to talk to, explained each step of the process, and was just a joy to spend 45 minutes with. If you want to look great for a special evening or event, it's well worth the $40. Didn't listen to what we wanted, we even had pictures and the result wasn't even close. They didn't have mascara, lip liner, and eye liner. How can you offer a full face if you don't have the product to perform the service. Went home and redid the makeup ourselves. My niece and I went together for our first time. She i 11 and we decided we would do a girls spa day. We got massages, our nails done and then had our hair blowed. It was perfect because putting on makeup and doing much else with an 11 year old is a little hard. A friend of mine, who had gone to showed up for a night out with her hair curled. I had never seen her do that before. She told us about the place. She's always on top of the latest trends and trying the cool new stuff. I was looking for a relaxing day and this was not it. My appointment was interrupted by a customer off the street that wanted my stylist to call her if she had a cancellation, she was allowed to come over to my chair to make this quite long request. I told my stylist that my hair was thinning on too, she burned my head with the blow dryer by concentrating on one section for long periods of time, my scalp is peeling. I also told her my hair didn't hold curl well, she used the largest wand. My hair in the back looked like a curtain being pulled back and the curl was out by the time I returned home, 15 minutes away. read more

They rushed through my appointment stating several time that needed to get to the next person. one girl shampooed my hair and put conditioner on then said she needed to leave because "it's my guys thing tonight." Another girl came along eventually to rinse the conditioner and finish my hair. I asked for simple loose girls with a lot of volume (the entire reason I came in) but walked out with flat, tight curls I could have done at home. went home and spent another 30 minutes trying to make it look presentable for the event I was going to that evening. after all that, I emailed the company with the details of my experience and never heard a word back. read more

I had rotator cuff surgery and my daughters got me a gift card to this place so I could get a good wash and blow out a few times during my recovery. We were going out for my husband's birthday last night so I scheduled my first visit. Marissa did a great job and I loved my hair! I have straight, fine hair and she was able to create a nice amount of volume. She was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable and that I liked my hair before I left. My only regret is that I didn't know they had been here for two years, because I would have gone before now! I'll definitely be back. I stopped into another one that was close to where I was, and they couldn't take me...which brought me to Blo and I'm so glad it did! I called when I was on my way to make sure they could take me and they made me an appointment...when I got there, they walked to right to a station, got me a drink and got started talking about what I was looking for. They are super nice and accommodating! Blo literally saved the day when I called them in a panic after another blow dry bar (not Blo!) cancelled my appointment on the day of my engagement photos. They were able to fit me in last minute and the owner even called me back to make sure I could get in ASAP. The stylist was so sweet and I loved my hair styling. He listened to what I asked for and it was exactly what I wanted. This is not the closest blow dry bar to my house, but worth driving further because they went the extra mile for me! Came here yesterday with my mom, aunt, and cousin to start off our Mother's Day. We were not greeted when we walked in and both girls looked like they had just rolled out of bed. The third girl arrived late. During all four of our treatments the girls continued to be unfriendly and unprofessional. All together it was an awful experience, and a waste of not only money but time. We wanted to have a nice Mother's Day experience together and the experience as a whole was not great. Looking professional, and good customer service are bare minimum when it comes to expectations. I hope the business owner makes some changes to their expectations for employees.
