My family came here for some good grubbing and this place didn't disappoint! The star players for us were the sides/from the kitchen menu. The pork belly baos are amazing. Along with the tater tokoyaki, pork belly burnt ends, Mac and cheese, the noodles. We were all very impressed by these. As far as the meat/bbq aspect of menu, we thought it was pretty good but just not blown away compared to other Houston spots. But! It's worth it to grub here with the great mixed menu they have of bbq and Asian influenced dishes. They execute it really well. Overall quite delicious!
They've stepped it up again. I tried a couple special sandwiches and they were fantastic. And my friends brisket was great too. Try the pastrami Reuben and the beef Pho sandwiches. Easy five stars. Not expensive either. I live close to here and I will be back soon.
This Happy "Nhau"er menu is absolutely insane. Every dish was clearly made with love and care. The variety on the eggs rolls and sauces was phenomenal. We primarily got appetizers but the sandwich and main dish menu looks equally amazing. A really great experience.
My first time coming to Blood Bros BBQ and I really enjoyed my experience. Its not your traditional Texas BBQ but if you enjoy vietnamese flavors, im sure youll enjoy it I got there around 12pm and the wait wasnt too long. I ordered the brisket bahn mi, brisket, jalapeno cheddar sausage, and their guava pork ribs. All the bbq was really smokey and seasoned well, but I did feel like the brisket was drier than what im used to. My favorites were still the brisket and guava pork ribs tho. I also got their mac n cheese and potato salad sides. Both were amazing and I would come back for them again The place itself is spacious and clean. They also have a small bar so its a great spot to hang with friends
We stopped by Blood Bros on a Saturday night, initially not realizing they don't offer BBQ by the pound, but the dinner menu more than made up for it. The charsiu pork belly buns were easily the standout--between the crispy fried bread, juicy charsiu pork belly, and tangy pickled vegetables, they delivered some of the best Asian-fusion BBQ flavors I've had. The brisket gailan chow fun was solid, though the smoked pastrami egg rolls were a bit underwhelming by comparison. Seating didn't take too long, even on a busy night, and the staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth the visit.

Everything that comes out feels like a work of the heart--thoughtful, bold, and incredibly well-executed. The flavors are creative, perfectly balanced, and deeply satisfying in that "we're still thinking about this meal days later" kind of way. The service made the experience even better. Our server was so friendly and genuinely helpful, walking us through the menu and giving us so many great things to think about when ordering. Her guidance made the whole meal feel like a curated adventure rather than just picking dishes at random. Blood Brothers proves that great food doesn't need white tablecloths. You just need passion, skill, and heart. This place is a must-visit.
The food was good. Burger was yummy but a little pricey for the size. I thought it'd be bigger for $15. I also got the pork boudin egg roll, definitely worth it. The noodles was alright, I like the texture & meat was good. Flavor can use a little more salt or fish sauce. As for the service, it was off putting that the waitress snatched the menu off my hand. I laughed about it because of how silly it was. I don't think she was doing it on purpose but regardless I was looking at the menu. The place ambiance is casual. Would I go again? Yea, the food is good and there's more to explore.
Out of town visiting for a few weeks. Ive tried some of the best BBQ around. KC, Memphis, Texas, NC, Alabama etc. i wanted something different. Read about the Guava Glazed Ribs and Gochugang Smoke wings here at Blood Bros. Walked in and was greeted by Eric! Sat at the bar to order take out. Eric recommended a few items from the menu. I ordered Bahn Mi w smoked pork belly and smoked egg rolls w curry sauce and did not get wings or ribs. I was not disappointed w the Bahn Mi. Chewy crispie french roll with fresh veggies and smoked gochugang pork belly. Delicious!!!!! The eggs rolls were just ok. I wouldnt order them again. Next time the Kimchi egg rolls will be on my order along w Guava glazed ribs and gochugang smoked wings!! The ambiance is what you might expect at a BBQ place. Wood rustic-ish interior. Friendly staff and very good unique Asian fusion bbq. I always try to patronize local run businesses over the big box chains. If you want some different BBQ w an Asian flare, give Blood Bros a try.

We ordered the smoked brisket & gai lan chow fun, wings (with sauce on the side), the smoked pho-rub beef belly banh mi, and the sleaze ball. Portions were moderate -- not huge, but fair for the price. The food overall was just okay. My favorite was definitely the smoked brisket & gai lan chow fun -- really tasty and well-balanced. The wings were decent, though the skin was really dry and tough, even though the meat inside stayed juicy. The smoked pho-rub beef belly banh mi was a bit too fatty for my liking, and the sleaze ball, which I was most excited to try, ended up being pretty flavorless. The plaza has a parking lot, but the lines are faded and narrow, and people seem to park however they want -- so be prepared for that. Overall, I'd come back to try their BBQ meats by the pound, but I'd probably skip the rest of the dishes next time.

Another MICHELIN-Guide Texas BBQ joint had us smacking our lips and licking our fingers. We were excited to dive into their bold Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean-infused flavors. Blood Bros BBQ definitely brings Asian soul to their cooking -- the gochujang-glazed ribs were outstanding, and the jalapeño cheddar sausage might be the best I've had anywhere. The service was friendly and efficient, even with a steady crowd rolling through. The vibe of the place feels casual, lively, and filled with the smoky aroma of serious BBQ. I'll definitely be back. This Michelin Asian BBQ fusion spot was one of the first places we ate at after touching down in Houston. I came here with one other person for dinner. We came right when they opened and got seated right away. The restaurant itself isn't super big so reservations is recommended. They have seating inside and outside and most of the booth seating was reserved up already. We weren't super hungry so we shared some brisket nachos and some ribs. Both were amazing. The nachos had an asian flavor which we enjoyed. It had a lot of flavor but wasn't overwhelming. It had brisket, queso, salsa, queso, and some really good chips. I killed it. The ribs were also really good. An order was 3 ribs and they had a lots of tender meat on the bone and delicious flavor. It was a special for the night but I recommend it if they have it. I love that their menu had a wide variety but a lot of the items are fusion and can't be found anywhere else. For instance, they had smoked pork & kimchi eggrolls, smoked banh mi (vietnamese sandwich), and pho-strami sando. It's BBQ with a twist. But do keep in mind they do not do sliced meats or meats by the pound. Their service was good but very slow. It took them awhile to take our order, food to come, and forever to pay. We even went up to pay but they kept ignoring. Their pricing is good for what it is and portions were a good size. They offer happy hour Wednesday to Saturday from 5-9pm. I would come back and try their other items. I recommend it if you're open to BBQ with an Asian twist. read more

Despite being a pescatarian that eats mostly vegetarian, I don't mind going to BBQ spots because I really enjoy eating the sides. I've come across a few IG videos of Blood Bros., so when my Fourth of July date wanted BBQ, I knew we had to visit their restaurant. It was even featured on The Michelin Guide list, which made it an even more enticing choice. As I approached the entrance, I was impressed by the spacious and functional outdoor dining area that had ceilings fans and tvs around. As I entered the store and made my way to the counter, I was warmly greeted by friendly staff members. One of them was a meat carver, while the other was responsible for taking your side orders. Then right around the corner, the cashier took our drink orders and rang us up. Service was swift and prompt. We ordered: Beef Rib - Minimum order is 1lb ($44.25/lb). My date declared this dish the best out of everything that we ordered, praising it was moist and tender and gave it a 5/5 rating. Brisket - My date said the briskets had a big layer of fat yet the meat was lean and not very tender and would rate it 3/5. Potato Salad - Usually this is my favorite side but I was not a fan of Blood Bros'. Although it did have some contrasting textures to it, I thought the potato salad was more on the dry side and the dense potatoes made it unenjoyable. It was also too sweet for my liking. I would rate it 3/5. Cucumber Salad - The vibrant contrasting colors of green and red makes it look pretty but the taste is very bland and it had very little crunch to it. I would give this side a solid 1/5. Pimento Cheese and Firecrackers - This is the worst Pimento Cheese dip/spread I've had and the crackers were extremely salty. The cheese had a slight chemical aftertaste and an odd texture to it. I do not recommend ordering this dish and would give it a 1/5. The four slices of white bread that came with the meal were dry and more on the firm side despite being wrapped in clear plastic wrap. Came here for the first time with my co workers on a Sunday afternoon. Pretty well known spot. A unique BBQ location in a strip center. Which means lots of parking since it's a shared lot, which was is always great. There were customers, but it was not crowded like some bbq spots. Service - was pretty fast, we were able to order right away, and wait for the food at the table. No wait time to order, so I appreciated that. Food- we ordered family style. We decided on: shells and cheese (pretty solid) brisket rice (tasty and has a kick) ribs (were good) brisket nachos (the cheese is very thin would be better if it was thicker like queso or shredded cheese..seems like they use the shells and cheese sauce for this as maybe cost savings, plus the portion of toppings to chips werent even to me, likely wouldn't do this again) pork belly burnt ends (was too grizzly almost no edible meat to me, the sauce was good) chicken cesar salad (the chicken in this was a bit dry) The meal had some hits and misses. But overall I appreciate enjoying some BBQ, as I understand and respect the time and effort that goes in to making TX BBQ. read more

I can't get back to Blood Brothers fast enough! I don't know what took me so long to try it out! It's been on my list for years. (But, Houston has so many fabulous places to eat!) We had brisket (delish), brisket fried rice (nice and smoky - could use a smidge more seasoning, but that'snot a deal breaker), jalapeño creamed corn (yummy, creamy - not spicy), collard greens (so good), chopped brisket sandwich (amazing) and fried gochujang kimchi egg rolls (really good). read more

They mix the Asian + Texan to a heft of satisfaction! It's always an experience being here. It's down-to-earth with flair. How did I get a perfect lunch, then dinner?! Thank You, Rich! And I thank the kitchen crew and your colleagues. On BB BBQ's VDay special, they even get things right. I ordered my meat rare. It was so decadent. I ended up eating it 5x. I didn't plan to when I ordered it. The decadence was that satisfying. My plans for 2026 VDay have been brewing. read more
Why only 2 stars? Because a 5 star rating is a layup for this place. 2 stars is a choice. We started coming here in 2018 when they opened. Was bringing neighbors and family when they visited from out of town. I considered them the Houston kings of craft bbq. One of the jewels in the crown was the peach habanero pork belly burnt ends. Amazing! What I got today was embarrassing. Before they were juicy nuggets that dreams are made of. Now...Fried, dried up, some sauce dripped on it? Just plain terrible. I was more disappointed in the product than realizing that I was short 1 order. The other items were still good. Sides, great! Thai green curry egg rolls, great! Brisket & gai lan chow fun, yummy. Blood Brothers BBQ is just as good as I remember it being when I tried it almost a year ago. Inside was dim lighting and a shelf full of merch. The consistency in flavor and service will keep me coming back as a loyal customer. This time around I ordered almost the exact same thing I ordered last time: brussels sprouts (that had had zesty lime taste) and Pig Moe pulled pork sandwich with blueberry habanero jam. The bread was toasted perfectly and, to my surprise, I was able to try their ribs that I guess was left over at the end of the night. They were so tender, juicy, and meaty! Blood Bros. have easily made it to the #1 spot for my go-to barbecue in the city, and I love their rotating happy hour ("happy nhau-er") menu items. I must say... the gendered bathrooms sharing the same entryway was a bit disconcerting. read more
I have been to blood bros three times now and each time have tried something slightly different. Everything I've had has been very tasty and they have a great mix of Asian fusion. They have different varieties of pork ribs for different days. The guava glazed pork ribs were super yummy, not overly sweet. The gochujang was very similar to the burnt ends glaze. Both are worth the try. I will say I'm not overly impressed with the other meats. They're not bad but they are not great either. Some of their barbecue sauces they give on the side are just a little too sweet or a little too vinegary for my liking. So far I've like all of the appetizers. The highlight being the burnt ends. The mango haberno is a must. Out of the sandwich's the bahn mi is my favorite so far. The sleaze balls are super tasty. I would skip the bao buns. They are a cool concept but the flavor just wasn't what I was looking for. I would recommend coming earlier if you want the specialty meats. They usually sell out early. You order at the counter and get a number. It's a seat yourself. The food typically comes out pretty fast. Overall I would recommend blood bros definitely a delicious twist on Texas bbq . read more
Saw this place on a Houston vlog. We immediately knew we had to give it a try. It's a barbecue place with an asian twist. It is order at the counter type of place. We ordered the Thai Chili Boudin Eggrolls and the Pho-Strami. The Boudin Eggrolls were good. Pretty standard for boudin eggrolls. It had a little kick to it if you get a bite with the thai chilis. The Pho-Stramu was flavorful. It had beansprouts and delicious meat in it. Great order. We would have gotten more but we were saving our stomachs for other places. Had to try this place now that it's on the Michelin guide! A line was formed a little bit before 11 am opening time but it wasn't that long. Could probably get a table easily if you come around 11-12. The menu availability changes a little based on the day of the week. When you walk up to the counter, you first order sides and kitchen specialty items, then order meat which gets sliced immediately. The pork belly burnt ends were probably my favorite- we got the gochujang flavor and it was a nice fusion of flavors! More reminiscent of Asian style pork belly than classic BBQ. It was tender and flavorful. Brisket was just ok- very fatty in the middle portion, end pieces were more dry. The fatty pieces were almost too greasy, I had to mix it in with the rice. I actually preferred the brisket fried rice because the richness got absorbed a bit by the rice and the pepperiness of the brisket gets toned down. I do like the SWAT sauce that the brisket comes with. Guava glazed pork ribs were actually delish, the glaze is nice and sweet and meat is pretty tender. Would be interested in the other rib flavors on different days. Pho rub beef belly banh mi was nice, the meat was smoky and the banh mi toppings made for a nice flavor combo. Overall, the prices are a bit high ($22-24 per lb for the meats) but seem on par with other well known BBQ spots in the city. I was sad that they were out of the sleaze balls. Would be more interested to try the less traditional menu items. Glad that there's a parking lot! read more

Great for lunch! I got the brisket sandwich, watermelon salad, and brisket fried rice. Mixing the salad and the rice together was delicious. But BEWARE if you have nut allergies! Tell the folks at the front you have a peanut allergy so they can use a different board to cut the meat. -1 star because there should definitely be a warning sign about the nut contamination read more

We dropped by on Saturday around noon, eager to check out this Asian-BBQ fusion joint that's featured in Houston's Michelin Guide. There were still plenty of seats available then. However, the line did start to build up by the time we left at around 1 pm. The interior is modern and clean, with indoor and some outdoor seating. The signature brisket was ok but not among the best we had - it was a touch too dry. We actually preferred the version from Brisket & Rice (4/5) The brisket came with their proprietary SWAT sauce and 34 sauce. The SWAT sauce has a spicy kick to it. The 34 sauce was milder but tasted more flavorful. We also tried the Gochujang Glazed Pork Ribs. This was certainly more interesting, and I think we preferred this over the brisket. (5/5) The chow fun with brisket was good, but it was quite oily, and portions were small. (4/5) The fried bao buns were also another interesting item. The fried bao buns were tasty, but they're pretty small. (4/5) You could also ask for slices of bread, which is complimentary. There are plenty of other interesting items on the menu that we didn't get to try yet, such as the brisket fried rice, sleaze balls, and the pork belly burnt ends. Maybe next time! read more

Was looking for a good BBQ place while visiting. We chose this location based on the reviews. I chose to get the Brisket and gochujang glazed pork ribs. The brisket was great and fell apart as I ate it. The gochujang glazed pork ribs had a small kick of heat but it was not overpowering. For sides I chose the collard greens and smoked gouda mac and cheese, the mac n cheese was a little less firm than I prefer but both were equally good! A friend had the lemon pepper smoked wings, sweet and sour fried ribs and feels they could have used a little more lemon pepper seasoning but the fried ribs he loved and both overall were tasty. Came here after seen an Eater episode and knew I had to check them out. I was not disappointed. Very delicious and creative bbq! The Gochujang Ribs are excellent, with a sweetness and savory back note that only come with this unique take on ribs. Love the sprinkling of sesame seeds for added texture. The sausage had great snap and flavor. But I was really impressed by the creamed corn. So delicious with the sweetness and pop of the corn kernels. Well done job and will definitely come back for more in the future! Be sure to get here early because it's not a super big spot and it gets packed really quick! So, i'm very unsure on how to feel about this place, my long distance boyfriend came down from alabama and he was very excited to try this place and i was as well, it was the thing we talked about the most for our trip. for starters the staff seemed like they actually hated their lives, and were just kinda not very excited ig, idk im not from the houston area either so it might be just how people are. the food on the other hand bao buns- amazing and honestly such a great concept! mac and cheese- also amazing, i'm not a huge fan of mac and cheese but i crave it to this day. brisket- I'm sorry but it was dry, when they cut it, it looked like it had a lot of juice but when we took a bite out of it, it was kind of tough and dry, it also wasn't very tasty it was pretty bland, i was kind of disappointed because its the most expensive thing on the menu burnt ends- they were okay, pork belly personally is my favorite and i didn't even finish these only ate like 2. sausages - FUCKING GREAT!!! collared greens- pretty basic their horchata was amazing tho, there was some black stuff in our drink tho and it kinda ruined the experience. I would love to go back and try new things and hopefully the experience will be different. read more

My husband and I went for dinner last night and it was very disappointing. We were seated right away but never received menus or any attention from our server. The only waitress we saw--who turned out to be ours--focused entirely on another table, even sitting down to chat with them, while completely ignoring us. After ten minutes, she finally brought water but still didn't greet us or attempt to take our order. Another ten minutes passed with no acknowledgment, so we ended up leaving our table and moving to the bar. We ordered brisket nachos - no brisket nachos We ordered mac & cheese - no mac and cheese We ordered brisket - no brisket We ordered berry cobbler - no cobbler We ordered turkey - no turkey We ordered a wild child - no wild child We did get... fried ribs - pretty good brussel sprouts - good but salty banana pudding - tasted old, not good at all Lastly, not only did they not have a lot of items, but they offered no suggestions or replacements. For example: We're out of brisket but we can so pulled pork nachos. OR...Unfortunately we're out of cobbler but we do have carrot cake, etc read more
It's been a hot minute since I've been able to come back here cause of how fast they sell out! But luckily I was one of the first few customers to come in and enjoy some of that beef rib. Fall off the bone tender fatty and delicious. What I like is the customer service. They will ask you what cuts and which cuts and if you want a new piece. We asked for the middle cut beef rib and fatty brisket and it was sliced to perfection. Melt on your mouth brisket. Mac and cheese. Collars geeens and cream corn for the sides amazing. Sadly prices have gone up since they were mentioned on Michelin but it is what it is. read more
