Thai Pepper is a solid option if you're in the mood for authentic Thai food with generous portions and reasonable prices. The portion sizes were large, especially for the price point, which made it feel like good value. The restaurant itself is small so never unnecessarily crowded. Service could've been better, we had to request serval times for tableware and water refills. My only issue is that the spice level was underwhelming. I ordered a spice level 4, and even though I know spice is subjective, I'm not someone who can handle super spicy food even I was still wishing for more heat. If you're someone who enjoys bold spice, you may be disappointed. The standout dish of the meal was definitely Red Curry Duck. It was rich, flavorful, and easily the best thing we ordered.

Got our food delivered. Was still hot and tasted great. We got the appetizer platter, pad se ew, and the tom kha with chicken and veggies. Would definitely eat here again

I was hoping so much to love this place but the food was so bad. First ordered spring rolls-too spicy- never had spring rolls that were too spicy to eat. Waitress offered to switch out for crab ragoon which were just ok. Ordered chicken pad Thai- oh my gawd...the fish sauce smell and taste was sooo overwhelming and I use fish sauce on everything! I couldn't eat it. I paid and left within 10 minutes of getting my food. Place is super dirty. Only positive thing I'd say is that the employees were very nice, hence the two stars.

Excellent Thai food, well flavored and medium spice was about right for us. The two dishes we ordered came with a generous bowl of brown rice. We managed to eat it all but we should have taken half of each dish home. Each one was enough for 2. the Fresh rolls were great, made to order with a tasty sauce. Service was prompt and efficient. The only reason I did not rate them a 5 was because the restaurant is somewhat cold, cavernous and sterile. Ambiance is not their strength so it may not be the place for a romantic date but the quality of the food more than makes up for it.

Pretty decent Thai food spot. I liked pretty much everything I tried. We asked for everything to be veganised and they were able to accommodate. The Tom kha soup was tasty but smelled a bit like fish sauce so we're were bit unsure about that but the rest was fine. I cannot say it was excellent but good enough. Ambience is beautiful next to the Tacoma harbor. Would recommend

This is my favorite restaurant in Tacoma. Whenever I'm in town, I'm eating here! Not pictured is the Tamarind Prawns as my friends as I gobbled them up fast. They were amazing. Everything was good: we shared pot stickers, spring rolls, beef sizzling plate, assam organic tea, and the aforementioned, life-changing Tamarind Prawns. My first time having those and they are now my new favorite. Coconut ice cream for dessert was a nice finish. Service was great. But I will pine for those prawns...

Great service, really tasty food, very fair prices, and a nice aesthetic as well! Went here with my family and tried a whole bunch of different items and they were all phenomenal with large portions.

I decided to splurge! Craving good seafood and spoke to the wonderful staff. They suggested this dish that did not disappoint! Normally it comes with broccoli and carrots in a delicious sauce, but for me, just carrots due to surgeries and digestive issues. Very accommodating! WOW, the dish was amazing and I will be back Thank you True Thai

Came in for a quick work lunch and although the place was pretty full, we were seated right away. Service was quick and no-nonsense. We ordered off the lunch menu and our meals were brought out piping hot and fresh. Soup was good, pad Thai was delicious, and vegetables and spring rolls were straight from the garden. Can't wait to come back again!

(Takeout Review) The website is easy to use to order online! The pick up process was also very easy'! Food was packed very well! Portions are a great size and all the items we ordered were flavorful. Will eat again and try to dine in next time!

My favorite Thai restaurant in Tacoma. I love being recognized as a repeat customer when we walk in the door. I love that they play authentic Thai music - and have art on the walls that remind me of Thailand water markets. My favorites are pad see ew, larb gai, sticky rice, panang curry, miang khum (appetizer), and tom kha gai soup. Mmmmm. They also have a full bar and the sweetest employees. Love their food so much!

While seeing Odd Otter off, I wanted to grab some lunch. Thai Pepper has just opened for the day and was right down the street. While I'd gone not too long after opening, I wasn't even close to the first one there! Definitely a good sign! Swimming rama is my standard for new places, but I haven't had panang curry in forever, 3 star as usual, with fried tofu. Service was mostly friendly and quick. I was really surprised to see a little pile of chili flakes on the side. Was that where the 3 star is to come from? I tasted the sauce and there was already some heat in there, so that's not it. What does one do in this situation? Go all in, of course! I happily mixed all the chili flakes into the curry and I don't regret that decision. Makes me wonder if I should have gone with a 4? Overall it was a very nice curry and I'd absolutely eat it again! The restaurant was clean with a nice ambiance and it's a great Thai option in the area!

The pork belly was very crispy(an additional fee), but too salty for my taste. The Pad Thai was good, although not the best I've had. The noodles were cooked well, and I enjoyed the flavor of the sauce. It did not come spicy, but chili sauce was available to add some heat. The spicy omelette tom yum soup had a great balance of mild spice and sourness, and it tasted very authentic. The texture of the fried omelette after soaking in the soup was not my favorite, but that may come down to personal preference. The Thai iced tea had a good balance of tea and condensed milk, although it was sweeter than I prefer. You order at the counter, and the food is brought to your table afterward. Overall, Thai cuisine is a great choice. Environment: I arrived around 2:00 PM, and since it was past the lunch rush, there weren't many customers. The environment was very clean, with bright and spotless windows. Taste: I ordered the chicken with rice and added a portion of green curry beef. The chicken with rice was the restaurant's recommendation. It was impressive at first bite and quite enjoyable, but it became saltier as I ate toward the end. The portion of chicken was modest, so overall, it's still recommended. As for the green curry beef, it wasn't very rich, and the beef was scarce. I had expected chunks of beef, but what came out was sliced beef coated in starch. The texture wasn't great, so I wouldn't particularly recommend it. Service: The service was good. The staff came over to ask how the meal was, always serving with a smile.
